People need to pump the brakes on the 10th best o-line according to PFF nonsense that was a mirage. We always kept TEs and backs in to block and chip and we may have led the league in max-protect. That's why a lot of us wanted a RT instead of Bowers however, that may end up being genius over the course of 4-5 years he'll probably help win more games than a guard (Fuaga) because I think guard is going to be his best position. I hope Getsy can figure out how to best deploy 2 TEs so we can actually run the ball with success this year because last year was pathetic.
Both guards got pushed around last year. Too much inside pass rush. No place for the QB to step up into the pocket. Also not people movers in the run game
I like Bowers a lot but i thought that i have read/heard that he is not a great blocker?? He will help the O a lot in pass game and redzone weapon
Bowers was a really good blocker in college, when asked to block. The concern is his size. Against NFL players some feel that he is not strong enough.

I don't know about Parham he gets pushed into the backfield an awful lot and was one of the reasons we struggled running the ball so much last year hopefully he puts on some weight and gets better.
Agree 💯. He and Van retention both got bullied. The result was poor run blocking in the middle and an inside pass rush that did not allow the qb to step up into the pocket

I have come around to the Bowers pick and I am looking forward to what the two young TEs can do on the field, but lets hold off on labelling the guy a dude until he earns it. First round TEs have a higher failure rate than first round QBs, very few amount to much. Take the pressure off and let the kid develop at his own pace.

they were #1 in allowed pressures and top 10 in sacks allowed with a qb who can’t avoid a sack to save his life. Its the qb fault

@@pigspigs76 i didn’t say he played bad. I’m talking about avoiding a sack, playing conservative doesn’t mean sit their and take sacks. He’s just way too stiff in the pocket. His protection last year was amazing and he still couldn’t keep us on the field on crucial 3rd downs. I don’t think their gonna build their franchise off him, we’ll see how he does this year tho

Your “podcast” is like a horrible car accident.
It makes me cringe every time I watch it, but I still watch it. The only thing I can think of that would make it even cringier (better), is if your underlings interrupted you mid-sentence to correct you every single time you get a players name wrong, the school they attended wrong, their height wrong, their 40 time wrong, or their wingspan wrong. In other words, multiple times per episode. Carry on Uncle Hyundai.
