My 6yr old built an entry grade with minimal help. I only had to nip a couple parts for him and there weren't a ton of nub marks even with him popping the parts out with his hands. Perfect kit for a young one who looks at all your "toys" on the shelf wondering why they can't play with them. At $9.99 I grabbed a few and dropped them off at a toy drive to give the gift of gunpla to some random kids.

@@Cooldude-kc5wf I mean different strokes for different folks I suppose. But frankly I think grunts would do well in the format. And the GM especially uses most of the same parts. On a similar note considering they've done a bunch of colorways of the Gundam it seems like a natural that they should do a Zaku 2 with option for command antenna. Then you can do a shit ton of zaku II ace colorways for like no extra work.

It's like a new peak of Bandai's plamo engineering but on a completely opposite spectrum to the Perfect Grade line.
This is how Bandai is beating it's competitors in terms of revenue. Where others like Kotobukiya and GoodSmile excel with high surface details and overall impressive presentation, Bandai knows better to appeal to the niche subsets of model kit fans who enjoy low-cost but decent looking plamo.

I only have three warnings about this kit:
    1. The joints loosen up easily in less than a year.
    2. Yes, the hip joint is prone to breakage; already happened to mine.
    3. Although it's not that bad, there is still a seam line on the lower legs.
But otherwise, still a cool kit for such a low price.

Reminds me of Antique Gradeless First Gundam and Weapon Kits, but with color, joints and snaptights. That would be the best First gundam Kit(Without Frame).

As an owner of both, I agree on how the EG is better in a technical standpoint and colour accuracy. But I find it harder to keep it standing straight compared to the HG revive after a while.

Just bought it today and I'll admit, its pretty damn good!!! Sure shoulders could've been better but I love it!! possibly better than my G40! Though where I got it at was 10$ more which is a gripe but totally recommend it!

The thing I hate the most about the EG Gundam is that ugly gap in the back.
What's the point of an awesome ab crunch if you can look inside the torso from behind???

So i screwed mine right up by trying to use tamiya pannel liner on raw plastic… made the arm brittle and the inside bits that hold it together basically disintegrated
On the bright side, i found an amazing fix for it that doesn’t at all resemble how broken it is.
I just put some sticky tac inside of the arm, and squished the pieces together with that inside, and now the arm is sturdy.
Lol i learned my lesson with just how fragile a gundam is

I really liked the Entry Grade RX-78-2 for what it was when I got and built it, but after a few months of standing on my shelf both hip joints snapped when I tried to re-pose it, it definitely is a breaking risk. That T cross-section design is just not durable enough. Hopefully Bandai fixes it on the EG Nu, it's hard to tell in the promotional images.
