I remember riding my 80’s Honda 650 silverwing with a passenger everywhere, never any issues. Bigger faster isn’t always better. I’ll bet that Honda is still going strong. I miss simple, easy and comfortable.

meanwhile me touring everywhere on my r15 which is 15 years old. even off road. cost approximately $1200 of today's money. i have spend more on fuel. 130k km on odo. that Yamaha wont die.

They all look like fancy wheelchairs. The only touring motorcycle today that honors the spirit of the motorcycle and the rider is the YAMAHA FJR1300A sport touring.
Where is the Indian Challenger Pursuit? It would have topped the list due to far superior over Harley.
It certainly deserves to be on this lineup over some of the other offerings.

For this money you could get a Toyota Corolla with air conditioning. Plus it’s most likely twice as comfortable and 10 times safer. You can still wear your helmet if that makes you feel better.

It's funny that now we think we need these types of bikes to go touring , I no you can do it on naked bike , cg125 cx500 a good bike now is 350 or 650 royal enfield,
I like the HD Rod Glide and the BMW R 18, but it's a shame that BMW still uses long axles, doesn't run strong and is fussy
