Walter Naegle talks about Bayard Rustin, their life together, his legacy, and the future - Show Clip

- Walter Naegle, was Bayard Rustin's life partner for over a decade before his passing. He is one of the first LGBTQ partners to accept a Presidential Medal of Freedom on their partner's behalf. He co-authored "Troublemaker for Justice: The Story of Bayard Rustin, the Man Behind the March on Washington," and he is an administrator on the Facebook page, "Brother Outsider, The Life of Bayard Rustin."
Mr. Naegle joins Alvin, Bobby, and Vash for a very special conversation to honor American Civil Rights pioneer, the unapologetically Gay and Black Bayard Rustin, architect and organizer of the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.

After watching the Netflix movie I am excited to know more about the iconic Bayard Rustin. I wish that my dear friend "Ms Candy" were here to watch this movie with me. December 17th will mark the one year anniversary of loosing her battle withs immune disease. RIP dear "Ms Candy"...

Many years ago I met a man from Cameroon in Washington D.C. named Bayard. I was amazed, because I never heard of that name except for Bayard Rustin. He of course was unaware and I delighted in telling him about Bayard orchestrating the March on Washington. He was so taken by the story and was extremely proud to share the name. I am so pleased with the Netflix film and this conversation with Walter. Thank you all for uplifting the dynamism of Bayard.

Just saw the Netflix movie “Rustin”, went down a rabbit hole & ended up here.
Nice to hear someone in present time talking about Bayard & lifting him up. Seemed to be a very wise & grand person. I havent read or heard of him in any history books or film until now. I’m glad to see he’s finally getting some light on his name and that his efforts were not in vain ❤
