    Within months of taking delivery of my '23 Stinger last year, it went for a 7000+ km road trip from Vancouver, Canada to the Yukon and Alaska for 3 week. Camping, off roading, hailstorms, snow, desert. It was a tough cookie, and managed just under 30 MPG the entire trip while getting almost 700 km per tank. Never felt discomfort once while driving. It is a great grand tourer. Now sitting at about 42,000 kms after 13 months of ownership heh.

      These cars are very underrated in almost ever department. I bet awd made easy work of a lot of those Canadian terrains too. Glad you are enjoying your Stinger 👌

    I own a 2018 GT2 with the same colors. This is the first video that I’ve watched on your channel. Subscribed.

    I just took a long trip with my Stinger and I averaged about 24 Mi a gallon on the highway I also have a tune

      Not too bad. Elevation and terrain play a role too. The drive from LA to Vegas and back doesn't have too many hills and I utilized the coasting feature as much as possible

  • @randomuserame

    I drove almost coast to coast in mine when I moved, and it was a nice drive. Before that I had a "poverty pack" Lancer (not Evo) and it was nice but a rougher ride even to the grocery store.

    Hello I have the exact same Scorpion Stinger. What type of front lip and side skirts do you have? I want to start adding some mods.

    I know the tnumbnail on the vid is modified. But if kia really made that color for this car, with tinted windows and tail lights, for likethe scorpion edition, it would look very nice. The only thing about this car i think kia couldve improved on is the gas tank size. I think it has a capacity of 15.6 gallons. Imo, thats a bit small for a car ofthis size. Its only about 2 gallons bigger than my compact corolla. This at least should have an 18 or 19 gal tank

    • @AnthonyCessor
      @AnthonyCessor  Před 9 měsíci

      That's the original ceramic silver, color hasn't been modified. Tinted windows is something people are going to do anyways or can be installed by a dealership. Tinted tail lights is technically illegal. I agree however, I think 18 gallons would make more sense. The tank can carry 16 gallons. That's the most I've been able to put into the car.

    • @blackice7408
      @blackice7408 Před 9 měsíci

      @AnthonyCessor I know. But in the thumbnail of your vid, you put a colored filter over it that made it look tan. I was just saying that if kia made that color in real life for the stinger, that would've been cool. I didn't know tinted taillights were illegal. Land rover has one of their suvs with tinted taillights from the factory. Also I've seen many chargers and challengers with tinted taillights over em. I think as long as the light can shine thru with a certain brightness, its OK. It would stretch the road trip distance before refueling by a longshot

    • @AnthonyCessor
      @AnthonyCessor  Před 9 měsíci

      @@blackice7408 The thumbnail picture of my car has no filter on it. I took the picture during a specific hour (Golden hour) that helped with lighting. At least in California, it's illegal, I can't speak for other states. Factory is okay, any outside modifications to decrease light visibility from factory is illegal. Will depend on if the cop wants to pull you over for it or not. I can drive from LA to Vegas and still have about 60-80 miles of range left. My previous car which was a 2016 Corolla gave me about 40-50 miles of range so personally I don't think it's all that bad

    Is borla making or do they have an active exhaust for the stinger?

    • @AnthonyCessor
      @AnthonyCessor  Před rokem

      Borla is making an exhaust with the active valve for the 2022+ Stingers. I suspect they will release it sometime next month.

    Is the black hatchback cover piece removable? Looks like you can fit more stuff in the back if you can remove it.

      I'm considering that intake and the k&n typhoon mainly because the k&n is easier to get in Cali.

      The mileage you get is nuts. I’m lucky to get 25 on the highway. 13 around town.

    • @christopherwible282
      @christopherwible282 Před rokem

      @@intrinsicimagery for me it all depends on how fast you're going and hills. I can still get 28-29 MPG going 80-85 mph for 20ish miles on the highway with cruise control. My foot isn't very efficient so ill usually lose about 3-4 mpg if not using cruise haha. City mileage is rough tho haha

    I love my Stinger and have had it for a couple of years but to say it's the ultimate road trip car? LOL. When I go on any sort of trip that'll be longer than an hour I'm going in the Telluride, period. Stinger is great for short distances.

    • @AnthonyCessor
      @AnthonyCessor  Před rokem +6

      Everyone has their opinions, however I have driven from LA to Vegas at least 4 times and going again in two weeks, driven from LA to San Diego 3 times, and LA to San Francisco once all in the Stinger and me and all my passengers agree it's the most comfortable car for road trips of the 12 other cars that any of us could take. It's not to say there isn't better cars for long distance road trips and most SUV's are more comfortable to begin with. But as a 4 door GT car for 50k, the Stinger nails it.

      On any road trip I hope to hit some twisty roads on the way and this is why I’d take the Stinger for a trip like that.
