Been here since 1979, will be here till I snuff it. I have always loved the Dance album. Fantastic performance 👏👏 Everyone involved here 👏👏👏👏👏👏 (Gary finally realised that we all love “Stories” )
How very true, His last 3 albums are constantiy being piayed in my car cd. Seen the great man 10 times ( our loss - yanks gain ) Knocks spots off these so called artists of today. You can sing along to his music, or slit your wrists listening to todays bilge. Always look forward to him touring, always puts on a great show. They say things get better with age - certainly is the case with Gary.
Cannot get over how much this group of musicians sound like they’ve been playing these gems acoustically for years. As if just off a world tour. So tight, relaxed, intuitive
Very cool, wonderful renditions. "Gary, sweetheart, please tell your friends to take their shoes off while they are in the house. Ok honey, Gemma, you are the best!"
It would be cool if he could do a mini-tour, playing acoustic sets in small-to-medium clubs, maybe 3 nights at each club. He could easily put together a one or 1 1/2 hour set. (And then release a live album and full concert video, of course.) Thanks so much for posting this video!
This is ridiculously good. I wasn’t at Wembley but have been obsessed since 79 and Dance is one of my faves. Great song choice. Too bad he didn’t do this in MTV Unplugged back in the day! Thanks for posting

How good is this. Could have watched a full set, too many songs to mention would sound amazing with this treatment, what a gem. Roll on Birmingham and Wembley.
Perfect 👌 mood music. I like this version better then the original for “Bed of Thorns”. The Friends acoustic version is definitely my favorite. Stories kinda sounds the same, just a cool updated version. Fingers crossed an a acoustic record like this comes out soon. Like a fan thank you. I’m down with that
Yes, I love it too. It gives the song a new life. Like he just wrote it this year. I enjoy it more then the original. It would have been great as a B side to the original. I really hope he puts this acoustic project out for the holiday season or something. This would make excellent chill music. Couches, coffee and acoustic guitars have this vibe that the world needs to get back into. The late 90’s had the coffee shop scene on point. Starbucks doesn’t give a shit about live music. 😂🥂
OMG they all sound fabulous...Gary's vocals...the band...amazing...Stories was absolutely beautiful...AFE ...epic...Bed Of Thorns...they were ALL amazing...I really think Gary sells himself short as to how bloody good his voice REALLY is ❤️❤️.
Just found this. Simply superb. I was 10 years old when I first heard Gary and Tubeway Army. It blew my mind. I wanted a keyboard. I got a keyboard. I wish I could say I was a synth genius but sadly not, but as a 10 year old I played the records and pretended I was the keyboard player.
Sadly we won't. They got together and recorded these in order to allow people to pay a modest amount to see them, with the hope of using the money to support all these musicians who were not getting gigs during the pandemic. Then some people paid said modest amount and immediately posted them on youtube without permission, thus ruining any earning potential for the musicians and leaving a bad taste in everyone else's mouth.
I've been a fan since j was a teenager I'm 60 now ! Gary is like fine wine just improves year after year, saw him at Cliff Pavilion waited 1 1/2 at the stage door he wasn't feeling too good got his autograph finally thanks to Gemma i waited all those years to meet him 😮
This isn't a performance as such, it's just a normal day at Gary Numan's house. As you can see, he's checking his emails while singing 05:00. The other guys actually never leave this room, they just sleep on the floor until the next day... Gary: Morning guys, right let's start with a bit of 'Down in the park' I think, ready? 1 2 3 aand... Keyboard player: Er, mr Numan... could we have some food please? and what have you done with our shoes? Gary: I keep telling you Derek, you don't need shoes in the House of Numan... tell you what, park first. Then maybe 'Music for chameleons' and then I'll get someone to nip down Maccy D's. sweet? Actually can someone open a window it's getting a bit pongy in here... Right, 2 3 4 and...
Lala Lulu's comment is dead on, Gary, your voice is remarkably intact compare to many people, who we won't name who could no longer hold a note on key at 50. I know you went through some hard times, but your fans in Germany have remained dedicated to you for four decades straight (despite some very childish and just stupid journalists comments about you.) Your view of the world and what we are doing to it is very accurate. Wish everyone had this clarity of vision. Please push Persia to perform more and help her record more material. It is her time to break into the music scene as well. I am sure Raven and Echo Moon have their own talents. Look forward to seeing you live.
That was fantastic Gary. I love the fact you put a song from the way underrated Dance album. I would really like to see more of these type of videos from you. Really different but great.
OH Hells ya, more acoustic! Still so freaking talented, so into following his "Gary heart" forward to new things... and yes, he's definitely still relevant today!
I’m a hard core Numan fan from day one ,no one comes close in my book I’ll always will be,he is such an accomplished artist even the best look up to him they know who they are , he deserves the praise and respect from the music industry he needs his star on the boulevard in LA/ # makeithappen
Trent Reznor comes close. Even Gary would agree. They’ve both been heavily inspired by each other’s work. I saw Gary open for NIN once, and he was just as amazing as they are.
Me gustaría ver más producciones de calidad cómo estás...gracias compa' por todo lo que haz hecho en la propuesta auténtica y distinta en lo contemporáneo... ...!
Very occasional listener to Gary's work. Rediscovered his work after the endorsement by Trent Reznor in the 2000s. Know the radio hits mostly. This is surprisingly good. Are Friends is superb in this form.
Wow! Bed Of Thorns from Savage (Songs From A Broken World) then Stories from Dance, love this stuff man Gary just gets better with time fuck! Not since 1980 Teletour has he played Stories with his proper band mates then a new song and only on The U.K. Legs damn!
An unplugged album please Gary this is awesome!
Been here since 1979, will be here till I snuff it. I have always loved the Dance album. Fantastic performance 👏👏 Everyone involved here 👏👏👏👏👏👏 (Gary finally realised that we all love “Stories” )
Yesssss !
Yeah, Dance is my favorite album of all time and he barely goes near it…I could die a satisfied man if he would just do it live and record it.
Well, you and I both. 1979. That's when my musical life changed.
I love this. Gary really needs to do more acoustic songs like these. It really show-cases his amazing voice.
Lol acoustic tour just been announced in the uk
@@jamesshepherd4666 Seriously? I wish he'd tour Australia again.
Just came across this by accident. It’s beautiful.
Awesome. G's voice has even gotten better with time. And the acoustic set is fabulous.
I so agree Alexander!

Numan on socks. I’ve always hated unplugged sessions but this on an other level. He could easily fill a tour this way.
00:00 Bed of Thorns
04:42 Stories
07:42 Are 'Friends' Electric
Wow! You can't underestimate the quality of the performance and the arrangement. Absolutely stunning!
This is a fantastic version , his vocals sound fabulous, I absolutely love it ❤️❤️❤️.
Surely after this session there has to be interest from both GN and fans for a full acoustic album and tour. The arrangements are excellent.
I saw GN at 18 years old in Sydney in 1980 and have been a fan ever since !!!!!!
Oh my !! Every hair and heckle on my body stood up!!!! I could listen to his entire back cat like this ,,,, more more
Who said Mr Numan needs synths to be amazing ? 🤩 Brilliant keyboards
This is just fantastic, Acoustic album and tour please Gary.
Cannot get over how much this group of musicians sound like they’ve been playing these gems acoustically for years.
As if just off a world tour.
So tight, relaxed, intuitive
He really does have an amazing voice. This setting really shows off his songwriting skill.

Just found this by accident...EXCELLENT. I just can add me to the list: please do intimate, small acoustic gigs!! And then an album/bluray.
There is no accidents, it's all algorithm ;)
This is ridiculously good. I wasn’t at Wembley but have been obsessed since 79 and Dance is one of my faves. Great song choice. Too bad he didn’t do this in MTV Unplugged back in the day! Thanks for posting
I am waiting in the dark
Waiting for a dark light
To show me the way
I am hiding from the world
Trapped by my ambition
Drowning in my fear
You′re welcome to stand in my place
You're welcome to feel what I feel
You′re welcome to live my life
You're welcome to sleep in my bed of thorns
I am walking through the dust
Pulling out splinters
Of things that never last
I am easily forgotten
There is always someone
Better than the past
You're welcome to stand in my place
You′re welcome to feel what I feel
You′re welcome to live my life
You're welcome to sleep in my bed of thorns
You′re welcome
You're welcome
You′re welcome
You're welcome

Great to hear Stories again. And a great performance. Numan unplugged has so much potential. I want more
How good is this. Could have watched a full set, too many songs to mention would sound amazing with this treatment, what a gem. Roll on Birmingham and Wembley.
The best thing I've heard from Numan for a long time. Properly live and with a talented keys player. Wow!
Yay Stories! "The cafe is old but the candlelight's new.." Best lyrics ever! These acoustic versions are fabulous. More acoustic please, Gary.
EXCELLENT VOCALS Great song keep going. The Best of them all. What a Legend!!
Im old and grey but this makes me feel young
WOW! Sign me up for the first acoustic album. Superb! See you October 4th in Boston....meet and greet.
I’m down with that
Didn't hear a version of Friends.
For me, this acoustic version of ‘Stories’ brings the song alive. Always liked the original, but there’s a freshness to this version. Very enjoyable.
He should release this 🤪
Gary babe the way you do all of this reminds me of david Bowie a lot it's really good
Such a shame that Bowie was a bit of a jerk to Gary. They could have done some amazing stuff together.
wow.......so cool to stumble across this.
Vocals sound great.......big two fingers to all the "he mimes live" brigade.
I can't thank you enough for this. I saw Gary Numan recently it was one of the most amazing shows I've ever been too. I can die now. Peace.
I must have died 10 times then. YES the man is something special!!!!
Wow, my favourite.....Stories.
Wow
Absolutely brilliant!!
Please go on NPR’s Tiny Desk..🌟
Can’t wait to see Gary on his acoustic tour this October in the UK! 😊
Are friend electric in a tribal way, love it.
Just listened to this for the first time, songs sound absolutely brilliant stripped down, more of your songs this way please Gary.
What a version of bed of thorns 🤟🏻 brilliant lockdown acoustic set . Would love to see an acoustic tour

Finally getting old mate! Never thought I'd see the day: pipe and slippers music from an oldman. ;)))
That was fantastic, would love to see more unplugged 👏👏👏

Imagine sitting in on this one, awesome
I personally think this is a classic example of youtube at its finest

Same here, 61 now and still a fan.
Vocals are killer. Such a distinctive and iconic voice. An his voice is as good as ever in his mid-60s!!
Gary this is awesome, no synth, brilliant acoustic setup :) Love it
I love that lilt in his voice ❤💡
You know, they won’t let you do these unplugged sessions unless you have a Persian carpet in the middle of the floor ;-)
This is so awesome

Beautiful house Gary.

See you in Brum on Oct 10 guys! Woot! NUMAN IS!
OH Hells ya, more acoustic! Still so freaking talented, so into following his "Gary heart" forward to new things... and yes, he's definitely still relevant today!
"He still has a excellent voice, once you have it you will have it forever."
Wow So good, great to hear the old stuff again, worrying though that Gary now asks his friends to take their shoes off before coming in !!!
Well, he does have carpets now.
@@thenullco That is an improvement on Virginia Waters!!!!
