I do just like what you did in the video, but my watch is not letting me do that
Do as he says at first
-set watch on charger
-click side button until it shows up the power off button
But instead of doing as he says now u will press down and hold onto the “crown” aka that circle button above the side button we just previously pressed.
Now u will have the option to reset
There will be a pop up on ur phone that will ask to pair with the watch click yes

Not sure what series you have but your method does not seem to work with my series 6. Any ther ideas or do I need to download the app

I hardly understand the features of my series 5 iwatch I got from a friend some weeks ago only for me to realized that it has icloud on it when I wanted to put my info and take off the previous owner’s info much thanks to Cole for fixing it.

I have a series 3 Apple Watch and I’m locked out and this don’t work for me
In this case it works like you show. Your watch was on before you do this. In my case in can not turn on the watch because it is locked with the iCloud code from the old owner and i can not contact him again. rrrrrrrr. So i can press the button for shut down but the button on the display don't change to side for erase all......? What can i do now ?

Hello and thank you for this video. My name is Robert and I metal detect, and I just recovered an Apple series 3 watch on a beach that I would like to try to return to its owner if I can. It is locked. Obviously, having found this, I do not have a charger. I would like to do your method of unlocking it, so here is my question: Would a generic watch charger do the trick? They sell them on Amazon for like 7 bucks, or do I need an actual APPLE watch charger. You help would be greatly appreciated.
