We run our dishwasher at night too bc the electrical rates drop after 9pm so that helps our budget and the flow of our day. I don’t mind having a task in the morning bc it kinda gets me going too.

I love running the dishwasher at nap time. That way I can unload and have a clean kitchen before dinner, have space for all the dishes we get dirty and then dont have to worry about it in the morning.
I’m always a load the dishwasher at night and unload in the morning. Cause I always have clean dishes and an empty sink in the morning for baking or making breakfast.

Oh my gosh thank you for showing the postpartum hair loss shot! I feel like no one ever talks about it and it is real. I have 4 month old twin girls and feel like I am losing all my hair! I know it grows back but it sucks. Also right there with you on the sleep deprivation. You are lucky to have your husband home to help!

I have a suggestion that you might find useful...have a piece of plexiglass cut to fit and mount to the island where the kids sit. So much easier to clean and will save the paint job too. 😃

My eldest is 6 and constantly on me about downloading apps on his tablet.
I've worked a "one app in, one app out" rule with him. If I download an app, you need to choose an app to uninstall. This has worked out pretty well for us and he's learned to appreciate them more.
My youngest is 5 months going on 6 but he refuses to sleep in his crib at night. This is partly my fault, I suppose, but I exclusively breastfeed as well and have always found it easier to just bring him to bed with me.
And that postpartum hair loss is real!
I shed so much... It's embarrassing.
I load my dishwasher after dinner and then before bed I unload it and hand wash/dry/put away any extra snack dishes! Then throughout the day we just load it as we go.
