This is a very thoughtful and well executed tutorial that even my 60 year old, analog tuned brain could follow. Your work is appreciated and ultimately made the difference for me. I was done. Thank you.

    Your mannerisms for tutorials get me invested because you are so soft spoken and relaxed. No loud hyper wannabe internet personality being all like “YO WHADDUP ITS YA BOY -“ shit who spends the whole video going way too fast and way too energetic when talking which feels like it treats me as if I’m already an expert and it overwhelms me and distracts me from learning. What I love about you is that even though you have mastered Ableton, you are deliberately slow in your actions and presentation because you acknowledge your target audience and are super beginner friendly so you can give uneducated people a chance to follow along without issue. I look forward to watching more tutorials from you.

    Very new at this but I did learn a few things. However I’m more interested at this point to be able to save a track so I could send it and do other things with it.

      Go to File > Collect All and Save. That will gather all the project audio files so you can send the folder to someone or move it to another computer.

    Hi. Thank you for the helpful information, may i ask how to stop a crackles while playing back and audio recorded track, it is not a clipping noise, it is something like a buffer shortage.
    Thank you so much.

    Hello Alex, just brought a 18i20 for acoustic kit tracking. Do you have a tutorial on setting up the Focusrite Control software? Thx

    • @DJCouchKing
      @DJCouchKing  Před 3 lety

      I don't have a tutorial for that specific software. I'm sure there's one floating about CZcams though. The only Focusrite interface I have is the 2i2 which doesn't use that software.

    Thanks for the great video, could you please tell what mic you are using ? Sound quality on this video is way better than most I ve seen on youtube!

      Thanks! I use a Rode VideoMic Pro+ for the camera shots and an AKG P220 for the voiceover/tutorial sections.

    Hi, thanks a lot for the video! I did everything like in the video, and I recorded it, but I can't hear it unless I go to preferences and change the driver type back to MME/DirectX. What do I have to do to hear the recording right after recording it?

    i like the way u made the vedio.can u tell us what software you use for your studio.

      Thanks! I use Ableton Live to produce music and Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing. The screen capture was done with OBS studio. Hope that helps!

    Loving the videos.. One question.... How come the start and finish always extend passed what I set it at? I set the edit clip at 1.1 but always leaves a small gap at front..... Thank you for all these videos... I'll be watching them a lot over and over !!

      @DJCouchKing  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks for watching! If you want to get rid of the rest of the audio right click and select "crop clip." That will get rid of any audio outside the start and end points.

    i started using FL to produce/record, and i found i liked abelton better for production, i had some knowledge on recording but now that i switched to abelton, i wanted to know how you can make the voice pitched low (chopped & screwed) also how do you make the vocals go all the way to the right or left for mixing? i wanted to create two tracks and mix one to the left, one to the right

    Thanks for the very informative video, I am a newbee and this video got me started.
    I was wondering whether you could recommend a audio interface that will work with an older Mac Book with OSX 10.4.7. Thanks

    • @DJCouchKing
      @DJCouchKing  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the feedback! 10.4.7 is pretty far out of date. Most any class compliant interface should work but double check the requirements before you buy.
