    I’m new to TIG welding, and I am interested in sanitary welding. What size of tungesten and what type of tungsten do you use for sanitary?

    • @DarlingtonFarm
      @DarlingtonFarm  Před rokem

      I use 3/32 for pretty much everything and the cheap grey stuff off amazon.

      @@DarlingtonFarm thanks! I have tried 1/8 and can’t keep an arc going. Granted, I’m Tig rigging off of a Miller Thunderbolt. But I do have a Ranger that I have had better success with tigging off of with 1/16 tungsten

      I usually use it for hard to reach spots or stuff that was in contact with carbon steel, it will get an acetic acid bath

    So why no filler rod?

      Try to reduce the chance of introducing any kind of porosity where bacteria can grow. And it's not really needed, the wall on the tubing is only .065" so you can melt through in one go no problem
