- Hey guys it's been a while! I made this video to show my appreciation for you, my subscribers! This mix combines I'll Face Myself from Persona 4 with its arrangement from the Never More Reincarnation album. Thank you for listening! Spoiler Alert by the way!

The thing is, the Shadows grossly exaggerate their true selves. Kanji isn't a flaming homosexual, Rise is not a stripper. Yes, Kanji enjoys "womanly" activities, but he doesn't actively seek out men. Rise wants everybody to see her real self, but not to the point where she is a stripper. The Shadows specifically target the part about themselves that they would rather not admit and exploits it.

Okay, did anyone else notice that Yosuke's Shadow actually denied him? And I think it's the only one that did that. I had a small freak out when I realized that. It literally says 'Yeah you're right, I'm not you. I'm my own self.' Wouldn't that technically make it more powerful than the ones trying to get the others to accept them? I would think it would even be able to manifest itself in a way similar to Teddy. Does anyone else think so too?

Natalie Del Real Well I mean, Yosuke was one of the main causes of the original P-1 Grand Prix, besides Sho/S. Minazuki. Again though I'm only pretty sure, not definite. I haven't played the original arena yet.

I just realized, this song is entitled "I'll Face Myself Battle". THATS WHY it plays when you fight the toy animatronics in Five Nights at Fuckboy's! The OG animatronics confront their toy counter-parts, which are the same but not the same as them. It all makes sense now!

According to Carl Jung, the guy who first wrote about Persona, Self, Shadow, etc, that really IS what you're supposed to do with your Shadow. In fact the Persona and the Shadow should balance each other out and not fight. Because the more you try to hide yourself behind a persona, the bigger the shadow grows.

I can imagine this playing in a fight against Yu's Shadow Self
Actually that would be pretty interesting since Yu pretty much got his persona without any resistance since he’s already honest with himself (also because since he’s the MC he gets the ‘unlocked my totally awesome power effortlessly and without even meaning to’ treatment) I feel like if The game made you go through a boss battle against Shadow Yu (which would double as a basic combat tutorial probably) it should be unique where you have to beat him using only basic weapons and no special skills or anything since at that point your just a normal human being (in other words Shadow Yu’s difficultly would be Dark Souls tier despite being pretty much the tutorial boss, unless your on NG+ that is) okay obviously to compensate for fighting your own shadow self without a persona it’s probably gonna be scripted to have a lot of things in it to let you win like landing a lot of critical hits ‘coincidentally’ Teddie or someone sneaking up behind with with a, frying pan or something, Yu ‘miraculously’ surviving several Zio attacks from his shadow or maybe realizing half way through the actual fight that this shadow trying to kill him is actually his true self and accepting it for what it is, unless you’re playing on NG+ then you can prominently kick your own shadow’s ass with your endgame equipment just to flex on... well yourself pretty much
TL;DR A Shadow Yu fight would be pretty unique compared to other bosses in the game, but there would probably be scripted with several plot devices and asspull moments to not make it a boss with Apocalyptic difficulty at literally the game’s tutorial
(On a somewhat related note, you could say that boss fight against the true culprit is ,technically, the Shadow Yu boss fight in a sense
(not saying the culprit’s name because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who’s playing the game blind)
@@NiladonGreyIf Yu had a Third Tier Persona of his own, they could have Shadow Yu be the catalyst for him obtaining it. Perhaps the Shadow Yu is born from what he’s become now and he’s the embodiment of his past self that he’s forgotten about in his journey.
@@rayvenkman2087 I can also see that as a plausible reason for making a shadow Yu boss fight, since it''ll probably be Yu's Izanagi Equivalent of Orpheus Telos though it'll probably only be like, an optional superboss you can only really fight on NG+, probably as hard as Philemon's boss fight in the persona 2 duology, since INO is already OP AF despite being a 2nd tier persona, especially in P5R (I mean, he beat Izanami with him so of course he's gonna curbstomp every boss in P5R)
