- Street legal YFZ450R in Salt Lake County Utah. The law just recently changed in March to allow atvs and utvs to be street legal in Salt Lake County. Before this they were allowed everywhere in Utah except Salt Lake County. If you need help finding more information on this or have any questions just comment down below. I had a Honda 450R that I wanted to do this to but i didn’t know if I could do it in my state. I wish I had investigated it more
Definitely need to move the turn signal switch to the handle bars having it way up there traveling at speeds can be a handful lol and you can see if it on or not a lot easier, bad ass tho I have a 2011 yz450f I converted to make it a street legal (dual sport) 👍👍

Can you put a list of what you bought ?
Bolt the plate down and add another licensee plate light. Use the lights as plate bolts.
I added thicker piece of metal so the license plate doesn't move much anymore. I don't really care to have the plate super lit up so I am fine with the one light. Thanks for the suggestion.
Did you need a motorcycle licence or just a reg licence

Hey Tyson, I’m looking to make my 07 Suzuki z 400 street legal in Utah county. I see you made this a few years ago. You still riding your yfz on the streets? Do you know of any places that will install a street legal kit on a sports atv?
I actually got a street bike that I use on the streets now. Check with Moto United South Valley in draper Utah. They should be able to do it.
you know you could use a phone get a phone mount and use a GPS speedometer
That is definitely an option. I decided not to go that route personally because I don’t always keep my cell phone battery charged very much and I prefer to always have a speedometer on it that will always be ready.

Hi in the U.K. the requirements for them to be road legal is extensively enforced. Almost everything has to be the same as a car lights speedo plates nerf bars and reverse. Alot safer for riders and other road users.

How did you mount that license plate. I want to put my in the same location. Wasnt sure how to though.
I actually got some spark plug wire mounts and cut and bent them. But really if you went and found a piece of aluminum or steal and drilled into it you could mount it that way. Then go to a hardware store and get a longer bolt for the grab bar so that it mounts up well. Let me know if you need more help figuring it out.

There’s a site that claims they give you everything you need called dirtlegal.com no trip to SOS they give you a tag registration from A state that is street legal you just throw it on and ride in the the streets I’ve been looking at a spy racing f350 street quad but we still have some strict laws so idk how it would work out lol

Looks like you got way too much air in those tires should be running around 5 PSI
ils360 right those rear tires are bulging pretty good!
The tires were around 5 psi. Probably even less. The tires are a different size since they were off of a different bike. They are a lot more rounded then the tires that come on these, which are a more square tire.

@@patson9994No It's not allowed in Ontario especially cities, but if it's registered and insured and you have proper equipment you can ride it beside highways and roads. I never bothered and moved on to other projects. It's too bad. Would of been awesome.

It’s odd that a motorcycle with like 120 hp with no turn signals or mirrors comes factory street legal but there isn’t a street legal quad from factory

I thought about that option, however I chose to go with the trail tech so that I don't have to kill my phone battery or every worry about my phone dying while on a ride. It is a personal preference for me.

It has worked well for me, the only thing I don’t like is how it reads the rpms.
Tyson Rod water got in the screen of mine , then the battery died and reset the whole thing back to factory and I had to reprogram it to read the right speed
