That's a great way of putting it. Almost every team took from inspiration from the RB19 instead of innovating. RB on the other hand decided not to stagnate and fixed a "broken" concept in the pursuit of enhanced performance. They deserve all their success.

Everytime it's Adrian Newey with SkySports, they barely give credit to the other parts of the team. But when Mercedes did well it was "sUcH a TeAm efFoRt". Can't wait for next year when their beloved Hamilton is at Ferrari the other team they also seem to dislike. Max is just doing what Lewis did in 2019/2020, except he took it to the next level and kept that level for more than a year.
And every race, Hamilton had stinkers every season .
The funniest thing is that Newey isn‘t even the main designer of the RB18/19 and now 20. He obviously is the highest ranking person in the technical team of RB but he also focuses a lot of his time on the RB17 project. Waché is actually the lead designer for RB in these regs so far and obviously the whole technical team of RB is absolutely insane despite the fact that they have already lost Fallows and Marshall to AM/McLaren. Just shows how many great people RB have.
It's an incredible misunderstanding of what it actually takes to design a car... a very childishly simplified idea that "one man is responsible". It takes hundreds of engineers to design even small sections of the car, it's a massive team effort. Adrian I'm sure has ivaluable input, but to put the praise solely on him is ridiculous.
No, they praise Lewis for the improved car. The first thing they said when they looked quick during testing was 'they finally listened to Lewis'. Just casually dismissing the insane amount of highly skilled and talented engineers working 12 hours a day crunching the numbers and insane amounts of data to give Sir Lewis a good car, so he and Toto can call it a shitbox on world broadcast

From the outside (us) it looks like the way things are supposed to go. Someone is getting older and is still extremely valuable, but the end of the line is closer than to the beginning. So, transitioning to new people starts taking place.

The only time it was close was 2016. At least back then we had two drivers going at it.

I was hoping other teams could improve more... RedBull + Max is just outrageous. It's impressive, but dominance like this makes for less wheel-to-wheel action on the track in fights for the top.
The gap would have been nearly the same if he drove a Mercedes or a Ferrari. And actually that's what I want to see: the driver is more important than the car and its team.
With all respect to Lewis, Vettel, Prost or even at some points Schumacher, but the only drivers whom are possible to fight with slower cars are Fernando and Max right now. they both showed it in past. No team goes through two regulation periods continuing dominance. It’s kind of the point really. Rumour has it Ferrari & Mercedes’ are quite a bit ahead with their ‘26 PUs, so maybe Max should try and switch to Ferrari or Merc then.
Or there could be an anomaly team who nail it, ie Audi or Aston (Honda); but it’s doubtful.
