There seems to be a lot of people that get into PvP because of Cammy and they dont understand that the PvP rabbithole goes so much deeper than him. He is good but he just doesn't cut it against the tippy top imo.

Some of the people in this comment section need to stop being so close minded. Both of these guys are great players, but the difference lies within the intentions of each player. Cammy plays the game as is, with the intention of making pvp as enjoyable as possible with unique loadouts, Sonic, is a tournament player, of course he’s going to run meta, it’s part of his game. So to say one player is better than other is just wrong because you’re comparing players in completely different atmospheres

GG's but I feel like a big part of this came down to class matchup. A healing rift is pretty sick in 1v1s and the super is a guaranteed kill pretty much, even when cammy did pop shadowshot.
Also I know that each player is more than able choose and change their subclass and selected their subclass for individual reasons. It's as big a part of the game as weapon selection and you have to deal with the advantages and disadvantages of each class/subclass.

No one is denying the reality that he lost it’s just it could of potentially been closer if he didn’t go against the meta. He did lose but it also doesn’t really matter. This was a charity tournament so they did what they enjoy to help a good cause. Regardless of who won the tournament it was all for charity and it was pretty successful from what I’ve heard.

The fight was fantastic and Cammy was just outplayed. Both players are super talented. Personally I love Mtashed and overall Lumi, I just love his play style, super agressive and fast. But what Sonic did was impressive. Baiting him, using a great variations of weapons.

Ireleezi not really true. The sweat community is pretty dead. Some of these guys mostly do trials carries at this point. Others occasionally get on and scrim. Beyond that, at the time this event happened. Cammy was the one sweating and scrumming all the time while d1 OGs like Sonic was not really playing as much since this was d2 y1 and only cammy and 3.5 ppl liked d2 at that time. 😂
Sonic either got amazingly lucky with his subclass pick or stacked the odds completely in his favor. Sonic was using the bottom tree with phoenix dive which would excel in a peeking meta. Cammy on the other hand prides himself on his 0 recovery and had no healing abilities to even remotely keep up with Sonic's recovery after each peek. After each shot Cammy would come back in and see a guy who was full health or in a rift. All sonic had to do was slow the game to a snails pace basically crippling Cammy and poking gaping holes in his playstyle.
Heres my thing with this. Cammy.. you did amazing. you used less then ideal weapons and a hunter vs a warlock. You would have had to play out of your mind to win that. Severe disadvantage

Sonic hets scared and pops his super cause he gets scared. Sonic never made a real push that game. especially around a corner. He never really showed himself and mostly shot at his back for the first match. And then he just spammed rift and then moved up and engaged so he could run back and heal quickly when he was being outplayed. He did this a lot.

Both were playing really cautious. Cammy was sitting in a headglitch 50% of the time and rightfully so. It's a 1v1, you're supossed to play the better position, especially when facing power ammo, while being empty.

He's also extremely good at predicting when opponents attack, as he was literally taking Cammy out the moment he came around a corner. You really just have to accept that Sonic outdid Cammy that day.

And when he does use them he uses one ability at a time AND he also uses a vortex grenade which only really works if you abuse smoke bombs. Yes, maybe Cammy could have won with the same subclass also I think shadowshot was poor choice for a 1v1 it rarely helped him espeacily against constant heals from dawnblade but he chose it for a reason and it did not really play out for him. Also from what I have seen Sonic is a Ps4 player so his way more trained on a controller I would really like to see a MnK rematch since that is what Cammy mostly plays epeacilly with his SnipeLion combo now would be a interesting rematch since he just got wiped on controller.

Lil sonic used the meta weapons of that sandbox and destroyed Cammy. But Cammy used the most out of meta weapons he could have used and still got a couple of kills
Cammy could have used meta too, I don't think it would have changed much. I think the passive Warlock play was really good for Sonic too as he could peak around corners and always out heal Cammy
People below complaining that sonic was camping are idiots. Both players were playing pretty passive. Cammy was never really trying to push either. Both of them were just using cover and peeking corners. If anything, sonic had a couple more aggressive pushes than cammy did.

Beyond that, at the time this event happened. Cammy was the one sweating and scrumming all the time while d1 OGs like Sonic was not really playing as much since this was d2 y1 and only cammy and 3.5 ppl liked d2 at that time. 😂

Sonic either got amazingly lucky with his subclass pick or stacked the odds completely in his favor. Sonic was using the bottom tree with phoenix dive which would excel in a peeking meta. Cammy on the other hand prides himself on his 0 recovery and had no healing abilities to even remotely keep up with Sonic's recovery after each peek. After each shot Cammy would come back in and see a guy who was full health or in a rift. All sonic had to do was slow the game to a snails pace basically crippling Cammy and poking gaping holes in his playstyle.

Heres my thing with this. Cammy.. you did amazing. you used less then ideal weapons and a hunter vs a warlock. You would have had to play out of your mind to win that. Severe disadvantage

Sonic hets scared and pops his super cause he gets scared. Sonic never made a real push that game. especially around a corner. He never really showed himself and mostly shot at his back for the first match. And then he just spammed rift and then moved up and engaged so he could run back and heal quickly when he was being outplayed. He did this a lot.

Both were playing really cautious. Cammy was sitting in a headglitch 50% of the time and rightfully so. It's a 1v1, you're supossed to play the better position, especially when facing power ammo, while being empty.

He's also extremely good at predicting when opponents attack, as he was literally taking Cammy out the moment he came around a corner. You really just have to accept that Sonic outdid Cammy that day.
@@ir-dan8524 If Cammy knew anything about nightstalker he had plenty of opportunities to use his abilities which he just sat on most the time. And when he does use them he uses one ability at a time AND he also uses a vortex grenade which only really works if you abuse smoke bombs. Cammy is a CZcamsr, he got outplayed by someone who knows how to play PvP. Nothing really crazy here. Plus nightstalker punishes campers really hard. Not like he'd know that tho either.

Yes, maybe Cammy could have won with the same subclass also I think shadowshot was poor choice for a 1v1 it rarely helped him espeacily against constant heals from dawnblade but he chose it for a reason and it did not really play out for him.
Also from what I have seen Sonic is a Ps4 player so his way more trained on a controller I would really like to see a MnK rematch since that is what Cammy mostly plays epeacilly with his SnipeLion combo now would be a interesting rematch since he just got wiped on controller.

People below complaining that sonic was camping are idiots. Both players were playing pretty passive. Cammy was never really trying to push either. Both of them were just using cover and peeking corners. If anything, sonic had a couple more aggressive pushes than cammy did.
