  • After a few requests I've put together a video explaining the differences between the Sedeo Ergo and Sedeo Pro seating systems from Sunrise Medical. This is a fairly long video and specific to those who are interested. If your focus is only that of the Sedeo Ergo then please go to 08:18 in the video to skip the first part of the video.
    I hope this helps and as always please contact me either in the comment section below or via the website if you require any further information.
    Also don't forget to like and subscribe!!
    Thank you

    In the US, the Pro is available with recline. But we don't get Sedeo cushions. I would try to get it on another base. I'm going to look into it with a Bounder wheelchair.

    I'm planning of buying a quickie q700-up m. What are the pros/cons for a quickie q700-up f and the quickie q700-up m?

      Hello, thank you for your comment. Both the Q700M UP and F UP share the same actuators and seating system so the movement/standing sensation is the same. The difference is mainly in drive performance, naturally you have the fantastic manoeuvrability and traction of the mid-wheel drive which is superior to the front-wheel drive however the FWD is definitely a more obvious choice for a standing chair as it's perfectly balanced to support the shift in weight as you stand. Not only that but the technology allowing the MWD to stand is more complicated and inevitably has a higher chance of an issue occurring although we have not experienced any as yet. Hope this helps and let us know how you get on! Many thanks

      @@Ibritadamfan Hi, thank you for getting in touch. Yes the drive characteristics work in the same way and if you remove the complications of the stand function then the better all rounder would be the MWD. However if you're used to a FWD then of course it would make sense to opt for the Q700F. Hope this helps

    Just wish they weren't so expensive. My 700m pro is from Motabilty but it means I can't get a car to transport the giant thing in. lol
    Even though mine is pro I have the R-Net controller as well. lol
    I've also had a lot of faults.
    What is your thoughts on the 5 year life span? Seems ridiculous coughing up so much cash to only get 5 years out of it!

    • @clinicalmobilitysolutions2131
      @clinicalmobilitysolutions2131  Před 3 lety

      Hi Sarah,
      Thank you for getting back in touch.
      Yes I completely agree, there's a massive price difference that makes the chair unachievable for some. I think they could do a lot more to get the two seating systems closer together.
      Sorry to hear you've had issues, at least I suppose you're on Motability so parts/repairs are covered.
      The 5 year plan makes sense when you consider the price of the chair but to not own it at the end is little unfair. The idea of course is to encourage you to stay on the scheme rather than just do one 5 year stint.
      What I always discussed with individuals before signing them up was to see if there was any possibility they could fund the chair privately, have the chair for a longer period and put aside the Motability money for maintenance and insurance etc. This is definitely the more affordable option but of course it does require you to part with a lot of money up front.
      Thanks again for getting in touch, hope the video was a little helpful.

      @@clinicalmobilitysolutions2131 It is actually the manual that states chair has 5 year life span. 🤯
      On page 4 of sedeo pro manual "Intended lifetime of wheelchair is 5 years."
      You can keep the chair on Motabilty but if chair only has 5 year life span not really helpful. lol You can also keep chair on the rental company Mobility Hire which is probably what I will do next time but there is a higher up front cost on that form of hiring. No way can save 12 grand as only allowed to save £6000 on benefits before they start reducing income. lol

      @ilovebrean Před 2 lety +1

      I would imagine is the cushions with a 5 year life ? Especially the bum cuhsion theres no reason at all with maintancence and the idd psare part that it wouldnt last
      Sadly the motability schcme to get a wheelchair is a absolutely rip off over £200 a mth then you never own it what i dont udnerstand is loads of places offer easy to get finance for cheap scooters yet try getting a decent power chair or a active user manel chair or a power add on its impossible to get finance to purchase one when your not working as the finance comoanys dont take dla or pip as as a earning its all wrong
