    I made one for my wedding with two parallel arches so that when we hung fabric, their was dimension to it. But I recommend making it least 2-3 feet wider than Jamie’s example because you will have 3 people standing in front of it and it will look better in pictures if the bride, groom and officiant are all framed in the arch.

    A great idea my FIL had when building the wooden arch for my wedding with for the base, he put holes in it so you could stake the arch into the ground :)

    hi Jamie first and foremost I love watching your videos you always make me smile with your amazing personality. I am in the uk and am 18 months away from my wedding and would love to know when the best time before the wedding would be to hire transportation. I am thinking of having a hummer limo as so I can fit all my people in one car after the ceremony to go to the venue. thanks for all your great advice and keep the videos coming oooh and also I love your personal vlogs you are an amazing family. Could you make a video on all of the supplemental wedding events? Bridal shower, bachelorette party, etc? I know these are traditionally planned by other people, but I'd love to hear your insight on these events from an event planners perspective

    Wedding is 15 days away. I don't need to make this. I don't need to make this. But it's a outside courthouse ceremony with no decorations. I don't need to make this.

    First off, I LOVE your channel and I have shared it with so many of my friends planning their weddings.
    Second, I have been having a lot of struggles with planning the rehearsal dinner. I have only been to 2 rehearsal dinners in my life and I am confused at what the expectations are. We are having a backyard wedding and thus I am thinking we will have a backyard rehearsal dinner. My FH's sister is planning it and asking so many questions around what we want to eat, if we want servers, if we want a restaurant and I just don't know what the logistics are. As well as, I do not understand what I should be asking for. Can you create a video about the rehearsal dinner do's and don'ts, what to keep in mind while planning and other logisitcs?

    This is unrelated to this video, but I would love a video on engagement rings. I'm not completely in love with the ring my fiancé proposed to me with. I have been looking online (mostly on etsy) and have fallen in love with some really beautiful, affordable rings. My question is: how do I broach this topic without hurting his feelings? How do I know if online sellers are trustworthy? I know you (Jamie) have a moissanite ring (that is gorgeous btw), was that the one your husband proposed with or did you pick it out? Please help!!!

    Thank you so much for this! I’ve been wanting to make some type of backdrop & I love the look of a copper arch but wasn’t sure if it’d be too complicated. This looks pretty simple to do! Appreciate you and your videos 😊

    My wedding is this December (Christmas/winter) theme. I would love to have a wood backdrop but renting how much I need would be around $1000. We are getting married at his church and the stage is WAY too big (the whole choir can fit behind the instruments) so we want to block some of it off. What do you think of the idea using a arch like this (9 ft high and 14 ft wide) and using a wood vinyl backdrop, like a photography backdrop? We can get that for about $40. Do you think it would look tacky?

      I think it depends on the look of the church. If it's an old european like church it will probably look a bit strange with it's surroundings while in a more modern one as long as the colors don't clash/it goes with the style of the church and your other decorations. It's a wonderful idea, you just have to think about how it will go with its surroundings. And I´m sure it will look bomb no matter what you choose

    You talked about a photo booth background being taller the 6 ft. If I wanted to do a neon sign with our last name for our photo booth should I put it at 6 feet or above the so you can see it when people are standing and taking pictures?

    This is awsome as i am looking to make my own but have been questioning the size i want to make it. I am looking to make a curtain wall to go behind where we will be standing for the ceremony and then relocate it for behind the bridel table at the reception. Do you think it would be better to stay with the 7feet tall or would you go taller? Open to any suggestions.

    Jamie, how would you recommend asking wedding guests to be COVID vaccinated prior to attending? Is that something I could put on an invitation, and how would I go about making sure that they actually did it? My wedding is next year so there’s ample time for everyone to get vaccinated, but I’ve been reading up about the vaccine and it might have to be an annual dosage. I would like to still have a somewhat large wedding while ensuring the safety of everyone involved. Thanks!!

      @summerholmes4725 Před 2 lety

      You can require masks and have hand sanitizer stations set up. But, no, I wouldn’t broach the vaccine issue. That’s very contentious right now. You can rationalize the masks to people who don’t want to wear them by telling them you want to keep the bride and groom healthy for their honeymoon.
