Still own it. Played a full season a couple years ago. I think my record for goals in a game was like a hundred on 20min periods. I always did better going upwards.
@Kulmataklaus This is why I didn't like the SNES version of 95. It was all about outmaneuvering the goalie. Absolutely no chance of putting one through his 5-hole. 93 was more about taking hard shots at the goalie and picking up rebounds. 94 was more about getting good positioning and one timers.
Why I liked 93 the best. What's the point of having a hard slapshot if you can never blast it by the goalie? 94 and 95 had basically no rebound goals of hard slapshot goals. 93 you could score those goals.
@@amazinmets8439 I'm noticing all of this! I've been bouncing back and forth between 93 and 94 (on Genesis). 94 feels like a fuller experience overall (sound quality, variety of organ music, one-timers), but in 93 I can actually score with a slapshot or a rebound--and in general by aiming a shot, which seems to accomplish nothing in 94 except to send the puck flying 10 feet wide of the net. On the other hand, I'm learning to use the pass shot in 94 and I haven't really checked out whether 93 has that.
Some dope memories with this game and my cousins used to play 6 7 8 hours in yo face We used to skate as fast as we could and smash each other through the glass hell yeah man thank you for sharing this great memories
Played both this and the Genesis version back to back last night and the Genesis version is light years better just as I remembered when I was younger. SNES version is ten times harder to score goals in though.
omg I know! my mom got me this game for Christmas but bought it in November because I snooped in her closet so I had to wait almost two months to play!! so I rented every weekend from blockbuster
Anyone ever have a glitch where the computer scored a ridiculous amount of goals, in a simulated game, to prevent you from getting the scoring title? I had like 100 goals one season and when simulating the last billet of games for the season, some jerk on the Ducks scored like 400 goals! This only happened once, but it made me hella mad.
In the good ol' days when EA actually tried doing different things every year and it actually worked out most of the time. Then somewhere around the 2010s, they got greedy... and lazy... and put money before the fans.
How much of my childhood was spent on this game...
95 was always the one that really stood out. With the whole create a player, trades, free agents and the ability to release players.
I played this during my college years. One of the best games ever.
Man this takes me back....GREAT game!
haha, i was just talking to my little brother about how it was way easier to score going up. spin move ftw!

One of my absolute childhood favorites. I was 8 and glued to the tv when this came out.
@funkyflights I was going to say the same thing. I remember coming home with NHL 95 and being thoroughly dissapointed after NHL 94 was so great.
the genesis versions had a lot smoother gameplay on these NHL titles. That's what I remember most
and RED goal posts
It may not be 95, but I still own my copy of 94.
One of my favorites back in the day. A game I didn't have.

Wow look at those graphics
Where's the post whistle checks that sent guys into the bench? Best part of the game!!
This brings back memories from my Super Nintendo
I remember renting this video game more than a few times

Best hockey game ever
I love this game

trades!!!!!! season mode!!! groundbreaking!!! oh and SNES was wayyyy better!!
Electronic Arts
Still better celebrations than NHL 13
I always played as the Dallas stars or Pittsburgh penguins when I had this game
NHL 94 was the best version.....
NHL 95 fans, this game won't be so easy if it's available online 1 v 1 or 5 v 5. Imagine that!
Wow. The Sega version was WAY better!
When comments where normal.

Yes! Terry Yake for some reason used to have a ridiculous amount of points if you simulated a season.
I already have a Zalapski Jersey :P made xD
Genesis wins against this match up between games.
What are the Atlanta Thrashers?
Not even close the gensis version this feels and sounds more like NHL 94
This game is garbage compared to '94.
If only '94 had fighting, like '93 did, it would be unquestionably the greatest video game of all time.

Just shooting and shooting. No finese no break away goals the puck is acting like a dinner plate
Good vide
Anyone know the goal horn song at 2:08?
Brass Bonanza
so do i we should verse each other sometime
Holy fuck
Come on bro get three get a hat trick
NHL 95 for SNES wasn’t very good. Controls were atrocious for some. I think it was missing some features too that the Sega version had
No lie i hated this one i thought 96 was better
🎮
94 was so much better, this one sucked
Really WHITE and why are the posts to the nets chrome?
Thanks for noticing! I can't believe how many people completely miss that GLARING flaw in this game!
lol
I only liked the fighting in hockey games...
Sure was better on genesis/mega drive 2
way too fast gameplay compared to nhl 94
Chicago Blackhawks the best team in this game
