When you're fully stuck you can always pull from major European cities (London, Milan, Dublin, Berlin, Dover, Paris, Lisbon etc) or old Presidents
This is correct. That's what I did. Common last names are good. Even more minor English cities work, though I ran out of time when I tried it.
Various combinations of Lake, Oak, Pine, Park, Ville, City, Land, Town, Port, etc. are also fruitful.
I love Jake’s homage to Colorado/New Mexico “they just cover everything in green Chile”
27:04 Yes, yes it has. :) you'd be surprised by how much geography fans enjoy watching others play this stuff!
Jake immediately going to doctor Scholls over shoals is iconic
Gonzaga is in spokane wa. Almost completely ignored montana and the Dakotas. Lol
This was definitely a good watch, a nice laid back video. Based on the numbers you guys did pretty great. I also liked that Zack AND Matty were featured.
Gotta lead with Springfield. Simpsons chose it for a reason.
My family growing concerned as I'm screaming Traverse City at my phone
Being from the west coast, I was yelling at them that they didn’t get places like El Paso, Douglas, Ely, Blythe, Carlsbad, Tucson, Long Beach, and Orange/Huntington beach expecting them to get these
As someone from western Nebraska, I was dying when jimmy trying to say Ogallala
His pronunciation of Des Moines was wild lol
Y'all started naming MLB cities, got 5 or 6 and stopped. Missed a few in Texas, missed my hometown in Florida, also Pensacola, Mobile, El Paso, you went back and got Lynchburg (VA), could've said Sleepy Hollow for NY... All in all, you guys did a great job. I tried to play this one myself but I'm not a "premium" member.
Not sure how my town was named so early in the list of California cities (9:18) but I appreciate the shoutout.
Matty a Geowizard fan confirmed
Jake with the Coheed and Cambria reference ftw
the main reason i know how to spell albuquerque is because of the weird al song, i started laughing as soon as jake started to type it and then immediately paused
You guys should definitely do this with a live chat feed
Missed a few large cities, even AFTER looking at google maps lol
El Paso, Tuscon, Yuma, Mobile
And the whole northern border was ignored lol. Does nobody seen those Deluth clothing commercials a million times? lol
If chicago covered the area where people claim they are from chicago Illinois would have been covered.
Bruh most of illinois hates Chicago. Middle third of the state is just grouchy about the attention Chicago gets and identifies more with their Iowa and Indiana corn-fed tornado brothers. Bottom third want to secede and create their own racist far right impoverished wasteland as an F U to the fact the rest of the state evolved past 1950.
Awesome thanks for playing guys! Been a fan a long time! Hopefully some of the MLB quizzes soon ⚾
Jake getting in a sneaky Southlake at 17:56? I'm curious how you learned of it
He lived in DFW at some point. I thought he mentioned the Plano area before during a Geoguesser episode.
@@gw163 That makes sense, when I heard that I said out loud that he had to be from here, aint no way he just knew that lol
Think it’s two separate words, but if he’s ever been to Tahoe he most likely stayed in South Lake there as well. Basically everyone who isn’t super rich stays down there. North Shore is one of the most expensive areas in the country, and South Lake is basically a college town without the school
As someone from Hialeah, I was NOT expecting that to be named here lol
23 minutes before you even think about Alaska lol. Nice going baseball guys, you should come up for the Midnight Sun Game some year.
Jimmy saying Exeter and not Providence for RI is very funny.
Per wikipedia, the most common place names in the US are, Washington (91), Franklin (45), Clinton (39), Arlington (38), Centerville (38)
By that math, some states have 2 (or more) Washingtons…how does the Post Office reconcile that?
Out of curiosity, for the Huge Quiz above, those yield:
Washington 1992 cities in 17 states/territories
Franklin 2303 cities in 21 states
Clinton 2181 cities in states, but twice in MI
Arlington 893 cities in 9 states
Centerville 692 cities in 8 states
Combined, those hit 4818 cities (41.2% overall) as there is a fair amount of overlap in New England and Mid-Atlantic states.
Note that to qualify, it needs to have a population of at least 1000. There seem to be some games with unincorprorated areas that may or may not be counted. Clinton was the only one to have multiple hits in the same state. For whatever reason, all the Michigan Clintons are near each other in the SE corner of the state.
Jimmy the the Shoals town in Alabama you were thinking of is Muscle Shoals. You were so close!
Anchorage, AK
El Paso, TX
Laredo, TX
Spokane, WA
Think these might be the 4 Top 100’s missed
@CoreyKRubin is correct because it needs to include 2 500+k cities.
From the map, they may have covered Laredo through another city. Alternatively, HugeQuiz may have used data that doesn't have Spokane in the top 100. Wikipedia has it at 97th.
@@deepowls Yeah, @CoreyKRubin is definitely right. I thought I remembered them typing Tucson, but looking back on it, they spelled it "Tuscon", which is why I was confused. Spokane is probably the one on my list that's incorrect.
Can think of El Paso, Tucson, and Anchorage all top 100 most populated
Love to hear Jimmy calling out the Connecticut Ohio connection.
Everyone always forget about my hometown el paso. Other texas cities, midland. Odessa. Brownsville. Laredo. McAllen.
“Rich- What?” God that joke came out so quick 🤣 loved it though
Names with troubled history would have gotten a lot of map hits - Lynchburg, White Haven, Anna, Squaw Lake...
I love Jomboy trying to remember the booming metropolis of Ogallala. Gotta love the attempt at filling Nebraska in.
Des Moines out the gate was NOT what I was expecting, but it made my Des Moines, IA heart happy. Lol
I LIKE THE WATCH! It's been funny to watch you try to meta-game it a little bit.
If you would have let the time expire the game would show the towns you missed
ngl pretty impressed by the showing. ive seen full on quiz channels do about as well as you guys did
Yes Jimmy, this was a great watch
Jimmy getting Rohnert park is crazy
The “Richmond” “Rich-What?” Was seamless!
Cities: 11127/11687, but only 13 states on intermediate. I'm okay with that.
I mistyped San Luis Obispo, apparently, which would have got several more, including 1 of my two missed 100+k (Santa Maria). Yuma, AZ and Yaikma, WA were two big population huge misses by me. I should have got Pensacola and Gainesville, FL. I did both Panama City and Mobile, but that wasn't good enough to catch Pensacola. Gainesville was just a whiff and the only top 250 city I missed. I started doing college towns when I was in the west, but I forgot later on.
Top 100: 100/100
Top 250: 249/250
Top 500: 496/500
Top 1000: 980/1000
1M+: 10/10
500K-1M: 27/27
250-500K: 51/51
100-250K: 236/238
75-100K: 165/167
50-75K: 331/339
25-50K: 866/895
10-25K: 1824/1898
5-10K: 1843/1937
2.5-5K: 2226/2348
1-2.5K: 3548/3777
Caveats: 1) I cheated and looked up the new name of Barrow, AK before starting. I find Utqiagvik is a bit more difficult to remember.
2) I, coincidentally, had looked at the list of Hawaii settlements within the last 24 hours. That helped me pull a few non-Oahu places.
3) I did a lot of wild guessing, including every president's last name, major European cities, and various permutations of Lake, Oak, Pine, Park, Ville, City, Land, Port, etc. I ran out of time before spamming most UK city names.
I really appreciated Jake’s Slumdog Millionaire approach to this game
Middletown! All of the towns, fields, burghs, and dales
Here for the fun!
Forgot to throw “city” after everything. Lots of towns that are *state* city, or like when you tried typing in Navajo, it would’ve worked if you added city.
This was weirdly entertaining
El Paso, TX was one of the 4 they missed in top 100
Santa Maria, Pismo Beach, Lompoc, Buelleton, Atascadero, Paso Robles......
Wakonda, South Dakota. Fairfax, Gainesville, Ashburn, Yuma, Cherry Grove, Eureka, Farmville, Huntsville, Ashburn, Roanoke, Blacksburg, Shortpump, Charlottesville, Amarillo, Brownsville, Yosemite, Redwood, Glendale, Glenndale, Pleasanton, Houston, Oakland, Stockton, Culpeper, Salem, Vancouver, Fargo, Berryville, Haymarket, Mobile, Angels Camp, Albany, Evergreen, Jackson, Jackson City, Front Royal
*It's gonna be a goooood day*
Im not gonna lie...felt the disrespect for not mentioning Pensacola when talking Florida 😂
As a life long Rhode Island trust me when I say this Exeter is a CRAZY RI PULL
Given the channel, I'm surprised you guys didn't just plow through all of the MLB cities, then the Triple-A, then Double-A and how ever many Single-A/Rookie ball cities you could name. That might knock out 80 percent of the map within a few minutes, depending on your difficulty setting.
Matty Mass is defiantly the one who watches Geo Wizard which is why they are doing this style of vid
SPRINGFIELD!!!!!!! Every state has at least one.
Thank you for recognizing Canton....-From Canton Ohio
Shocked when Jimmy said Sioux Falls....I live there not too big of a city. Surprised a new yorker knows about us. lol
There are certain town names that are in like every state. Like Waterville
Duluth Bemidji MN
this was fun
Shoutout Mesa AZ
did it give you Charleston b/c you typed in Charlestown
Hold up...did Jimmy go to Sonoma State? I'm from Sonoma County, didn't know we were so represented in the Jomboy community!
Binghamton, Plattsburgh, Watertown, Cortland, Ithaca, Schenectady.
I could give em a bunch of NY cities.
Pretty impressive
Anyone else yelling out names as they zoom into where they live?
Here’s me in Fredericksburg Virginia like damn he doesn’t know about us 😭
Jimmy said “Utah City”
I heard “Utahcity”
Huntsville would've gotten a lot of cities
Incredible
looks like you can only see what you missed if you pay for the premium subscription
Jake hella clutch with the spelling 🤓
Rohnert park? Jimmy went to Sonoma State?
State capitals, pro sports teams, college teams, presidents...
Did El Paso dirtyyy😢
Bristol, Lake Tahoe, Carson, Carson City
Dude was trying to think of Ogallala, lol I live here legit nobody knows of this town
Springfield / Lincoln / Franklin / Fairview
Sedona is a beautiful wonderful place
Watchin' & Laffin' !
Springfield!
Programmers should've overlayed names after you hit End Quiz. GG boys!
I click on the link to play this game and I can't because I am not premium member o_o
It will be free for all during next week, the US city Google Maps quizzes alternate by week being free.
El Paso
Spokane is where Gonzaga is
Did i hear Reading like "reed" instead of "red"?
Did not expect the Jake aging crisis on the back end.
Hit all the capital cities.
daaaaaaaaaaamn I missed the boys. My fyp hasn't been popping off with that Jomtent.
You forgot SUPLEX CITY!!!!!!
Ain't no one get Seaman, Ohio?
I just want to know which one of you was aware of EXETER as the Rhode Island city of choice, instead of , say, Cranston lol
Zach’s a PA guy? Knew he was the best. And intercourse PA was said and not Lancaster which also has locations in many states. I’ll forgive and forget
Shoutout Sonoma State! Can’t believe Jimmy knows Rohnert park!
Bayview
I was just repeating Springfield as I'm pretty sure there's 1437 Springfields in the USA.
according to wiki there are 35 springfields (5 in wisconsin)
the top 5 are, Washington (91), Franklin (45), Clinton (39), Arlington (38), Centerville (38)
@@Crushnaut34 cities, 67 if you count towns/villages etc lol
Same....I came to the comments for this.
