Underpayed employees at a multibillion dollar company that lacks safety measures and accountability. Either pay employees more or invest in high safety measures instead period . Safety department should have all injury and death reports . If the information is not accessible then May all spotlight be on them .

Working at a shipyard is like working at the ports. There are many safety measures in place but injuries and deaths still occur, usually by someone not following those measures. I’m very sorry for your loss and will keep your family in my prayers.
My dad saw someone get killed at NASSCO in the late 80s when he was working there. He left that place to work for Pacific Ship Repair. He almost died at Pac Ship when working on the USS Ranger in 1990.
RIP. NASSCO is COASSCO. Cal/OSHA is rather useless in general. Hopefully, OSHA (federal) will do better, but considering it's an industrial military contractor I doubt it.

First I'd like to say my thoughts and prayers are with the family losing a loved one a mother a father a son a daughter any family member is very painful and it's an ordeal that we all end up going through It's just life but when a big corporation can't even call the family coworkers that are the person's friend have to do it The company needs to be not only investigated but sued Man worked for them for 30 years and this is the best they can do for his family this is why nobody wants to work anymore
