I shoot on a full frame camera these days (A Canon R8), but I miss the days when people would see my pictures and ask what gear I was using back when I had a T6. Always felt good to let someone know I was taking better pictures than them on worse gear. That being said, I reached a point where that camera was limiting me and needed to upgrade. But it took years of getting good at photography before I truly needed a new camera. You can buy image quality (megapixels), but you cannot buy quality images. (Composition, framing, lighting, and storytelling) Keep up the great work- you’re an inspiration to APS-C and budget shooters everywhere 🙏
I’m still shooting with my camera that I bought in 2018, using a6000 with sigma 30mm 1.4 and Sony 18-105 f4. I’ve learned so much with this small setup, but I’ll eventually upgrade to full frame
I started shooting on a a6300 with the 50mm f1.8 and learned alot with the set up it really doesnt matter what camera you have if youre composition and exposure is right you can get amazing pics without a crazy set up altough if you upgrade to a better camera later on you can get even nicer pics i just bought a hasselblad with a 45mm f4 for 2500$ and the details you get from a camera like this is just mind blowing it also helps alot if you cant get the exposure 100% right
That’s great to hear man, it’s a privilege to be able to share what I know 😊🙏 the 2006 Canon probably still has good megapixels and can shoot in RAW format. That’s literally all you need 😊 learn and practice your framing, composition, shooting in manual mode, etc. 👍 Then maybe look into a lens upgrade for that camera or buying a used camera that’s a bit newer. There’s always a way and you don’t have to rush 😊 just one foot in front of the other 🫶
@@lifethroughoptics for now the main thing that I wish was in the eos 30d is the live view. Rn is pretty tough to shoot from low angles. Also shooting in night is pretty tough, at my first car meet I was shooting handheld at 1/50 f to minimum (3.5) and in order to get decent raws I had to max the iso (1600). Ton of noise but now the new lightroom denoiser is super good. Next car meet gonna bring the tripod (and expose correctly)
@@lifethroughoptics yep I agree, also learning all the functions and basic stuff on this Canon is pretty fast and easy. Thinking about buying a lumix g7 that can also do vids but first gonna max out on the Canon 30d(but only pics)
To be honest. I bought a a6300 3 years ago and only used it for a week on a trip to Thailand. Then I switched back to my canon 5d mark iii full frame. After seeing ur shorts a week ago I admired compactablity even more.
I used to shoot on a a6500 and 30mm 1.4 was my second favorite lens. My favorite was the even cheaper sigma art 60mm 2.8. I now have "finally" switched to a full frame. I don't feel the fuss everyone was talking about. With half the money I spend on that full frame and one lens I could've gotten an a6700 and some new great lenses while still having my old aspc lenses. Full frame is very expensive, heavy and in my opinion not worth it! The difference in reliability and quality is neglijable and very very small.

Bro inspired me to pre order the a6700
😂get it
nice choice 👌
Yeah it's double the price of a6400
Should’ve just gone frame buddy
My favorite type of photography is street photography, architechture photography, and concert protography

I’m using my dads old EOS 550d and i still produces incredible images, even for todays standard
Picked up a Canon 30D buy now and a 40D (accident) auction. New hobby, love to tinker.

I’m using the Nikon D3100 it was my first camera I love it
Make some night car photography tips
I would appreciate that so much bro
I Also have a A6400 and a Sigma 30mm 1.4f lens. That only cost me around $1300 AUD together. Then cage was $64
chilling with my Nikon D7000😭
I use a Sony A 7.
..00.. from 2007 and the colours is amazing
Just bought an old Sony Alpha 58 for 150 and some good lenses (most expensive set me back 600 bucks) and I am just loving it...😊
What if I have a 2006 Canon 😅😅
Learning a ton of things tho, thx man 🐐

goddamn. 1300 dollars for a start, why must this be so expensive 😫
you dont need an expensive camera to start photography. lenses and skill matter much more.
can you go over what picture profiles you use and the color mode and gamma you use? thank you
Would getting a smallrig case be useful even if i just use the camera for photography?
5d mark 3 with a Canon 50mm 1.4 is less than $1k here in the US not sure about Australia
Its not the camera its the user. Ive gotten insane shots with the cannon T3, and D60. Shooting in raw is the key throw it in Lightroom and go crazy
what app do u use for editing
is a 2017 canon eos rebel t5i a good camera
Hey im 14 and my mums got a camera its a samsung wb100 and i wanna get into like car photography any tips?
Whats the reason for the cage? I never use mine.
Do you have any (very) budget lenses for Canon rebel t7?
Is there a reason why you're rocking a smallrig cage? Or just for protection
what did you do to make the edit look like that
What's is the cage for?
Can I use a phone?
So my pictures can look like yours with a rebel t4i ??
My used a7r2 was only 600 though, but not every one likes used equipment

what do you use to edit your photos?
adobe lightroom
What do you edit your photos on?
He never answers that question
I’m pretty sure he uses Lightroom
Photoshop I think
there are plenty of good softwares, you can even jump in between different softwares like lightroom & photoshop.
