  • Robin Aircraft held a fly'in on 8th October 2022, with factory tours, demonstration flights and a taste of burgundy cuisine for lunch. It was attended by at least twenty aircraft and around 300 visitors.
Garmin UK were there to demonstrate the avionics available for the Robin DR401, and Robin Aircraft's designers and engineers were on hand to answer technical questions about the Robin DR401.
Eric Vazeille, a world champion aerobatic pilot, gave a stunning aerobatic display in the CAP 222.
Thank you Robin Aircraft, thank you Garmin, thank you Eric and, of course, thank you to everyone who visited without whom the event would not have been the success that it was.
Shot with Olympus OM-1 and GoPro Max.

Beautiful Aircraft. Nice touch with the factory tour. My background is Materials Science & Engineering - great to see wood still being used.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, wood is a great material for these aircraft: light, strong, nicely matched flexibility, good vibration and sound absorption, no fatigue life and lasts indefinitely. Plus it is relatively inexpensive and is a sustainable material. Just needs a high level of skill from the woodworker. You know all that, of course, but some others might not!
