Great video Mark. I am mulling over a printer, bizarrely, right now, and I found this really informative. I normally watch your channel for the smart home stuff, but enjoyed this one!
Thank you for the feedback :)
My boys just just got this for my birthday. Hope to start printing tomorrow. Thanks for the info!!! New sub!!!
Good stuff! Good quality review! Subscribed! Smashed the like!
Hi Mark. Have you had any problems with the print head or stepper motor getting jammed? I've seen some reviews mentioning it
This printer is AMAZING!!! But I'd love to have an Ankermake 12 inch (310 mm) square bed. If it is available, I'll be first in line for it! I am a reel-to-reel recorder enthusiast, so my aim is to create 10 1/2" reels!
This is a really cool idea!!!
Hey. Can you do an updated video on how to integrate eufy and wyze cameras into home assistant?
I enjoyed it, thanks, still have not dived in. You video hit my exact concerns.
Now hmmm maybe a End to End with a esp32 project, HA & 3D print.
Thanks for the video. Donât get encouraged if the video doesnât get much views at this point. It will take effort and time before plastic people will find your channel. I enjoyed it! Thanks!
Thank you :)
Amazing video! Would you make a video explaining how to print an object with 2 or more colors with ankermake? Tks
That fan noise is the classic sound of a cheap fan bearing failure. Mine does the same until the bearing warms up - or at least thatâs what I assume is happening due to the poor bearing friction. A good quality fluid or magnetic bearing fan will get rid of the sound.
Thank you for the info. I will take a look at the fan :)
Can I change the fan for a quiter one because I might put this in my bedroom when I get it since I don't have anywhere elseđ
@@Krispy367 people like Noctua fans for their silence. I donât have any so canât comment on how accurate that is.
@roberttco1 yeah I know noctua have great silent fans but is it possible to open up the nozzle enclosure and connect it straight away? If you will try a solution can you update me please I would really appreciate it
Thanks for this Mark. If I literally just want an entry into 3d printing for some ESP cases and maybe a little fun with the kids (9 and 7) is there a printer or brand that you'd recommend? Was thinking I might try and pick something up second hand, but perhaps I'm better off getting a budget newer gen based on your comments?
Hey Simon. Personally I think this printer would tick all the boxes for what you are looking for. Its a simple plug and play and you will be printing in minutes. I would definitely wait for a sale though if you are thinking of this printer. I picked up an additional unit recently on sale and also got a choice of filaments with it.
As this is a newer higher end budget printer it has lots of great features that will save you a lot of headaches you will get if you just opt for a ÂŁ150 printer.
Next year AnkerMake are releasing the V6 Colour engine which is an addon for this printer that will give full multicolour printing capability so could also be a great upgrade.
yes it's the Pom Wheels working into the v-channels, it will do that for a little while, but will get less and less dust, the more you use it..
Hi! Great video! I'm just digging for M5C content because I am looking to get one for the holidays. Thanks for the content.
As far as the dust from the wheels, that is normal. The wheels are just wearing in. You just have to adjust the pressure on them by turning the nut. There are videos showing how to adjust them on other printers, but the same method applies to the M5C. Again, I don't have a printer. I just know this from all the damn reading I've been doing...haha.
Thanks again for the video!
I'm due to get a Creality Ender 3 V3 SE next month. Never done any of this before so it's gonna be a learning curve.
You will learn a lot and enjoy printing all of the things! đ
Hi . Great 3D printer . I have a question . I want to print a mask, but its to big about 30mm . Can I divide the mask in half to print separately?
Yup. Just use 3d gloop or super glue if you don't have it.
I had an Aquila C2 and wow Iâm sure that was a horrible first impression for you. Was my first printer and while it worked well, that was when it worked and that was _very_ rare. Upgraded to a P1S only a few weeks ago and itâs night and day
Time for an aqara sensor to tell you to open the window when the and turn on the vent when the printer turns on
Thanks Mark.
Very welcome
Hey man, recently was sent one myself and that horrible sound on start up has started happening to me. Apparently I've read it's the fan in the base! They do sell replacement fans on their site though.
The notification noise was so annoying that I had to turn it off as just like you, the sound upset EVERYONE!
Thank you for sharing :)
Hi, I wanted to ask if there is a usb port to use a thumb drive? Or are you able to upload your own designs to print?
Also I really appreciate this being a genuine review. All the other ones are obviously sponsored with people saying only good things about the printer and testing it out for a couple days. This is a 5 month review talking about the pros *and* the cons and thatâs very valuable
Heya. Thanks for the feedback.
There is a USB C port on the side that will allow you to store and print files from a USB C thumb drive. You can also send files from your phone and PC.
I have had mine for a month and have never dcâed from the Wi-Fi đź
I think this was more of an older firmware thing to be honest. Its been solid for me as of recent.
@@MarkWattTech awesome man! Been loving the printer! Some annoyances but so far its been great!
Somewhat informational BUT your pronounciation IS unbarable. PLEASE don't raise the tone of your voice at the end of every sentence as if you want to add something. Instead lower it to END your sentence accoustically as well. Drove me insane half way through and made me abort the video.
