Let me introduce you to my new King of Wet Dry Steam Mops. It picks up everything and it does steam right. The onboard controls are intuitive and performs very well compared to the Bissell Crosswave, Tineco S5, Shark Hydrovac and other wet dry vacuums.

What I love is that you got yourself an easy porridge after cleaning up the oat and milk, and using the steam you don't even need to heat it up anymore!
It’s May 2024 and the Bissel Hydrosteam is more widely available but the Tineco S5 Steam seems to only be available online/Amazon. Based on your review (months apart) the Tineco is my next purchase.
These two are still the only plug in steam vacuums on the market while new steam models are battery operated- which is not good for long term use. I’ve read some users of the $700 Eufy V1 Ultra have dead irreplaceable batteries after only a few months because of the heavy power requirements for steam running the battery to 0%.
Thank you for these tests!
what about cleaning near the edge?
Hello! Did you compare this with the S5? I am looking for that review. This one was great!
Can you do a review of the MACH V1 Ultra so we can compare the two steam set/dry vacuums?
Still curious about the Samsung Jet Bespoke AI with the round power scrubbers with auto water spray vs Tineco .Any chance as there are a number of sales at the moment so I was hoping to buy a good all in one,ie a good vacuum with good hard floor washing abilities
Can u use cleaning solution with this steam vacuum?
After I saw your review of the hydro steam where you used it to clean up a whole bowl of oatmeal or whatever, I became a fan of your channel.
Hi! Thank you! I run the same oatmeal test on every machine so people can see the difference.
Hey man! Awesome videos and really solid reviews. I’m looking into buying a vacmop and was originally having a hard time deciding between the Shark Hydrovac or the Crosswave, I wasn’t really looking into Tineco because I don’t want to get a cordless option. However I’m really interested in the S5 Steam after watching your video. I realize that you can turn off the steam mode, but when you do this can you use floor cleaning solution as a regular vacmop? Or can you still only use water?
I've got the same question. Can you use the Tineco cleaning solution in this when not steaming?
I read on Amazon's listing that you are not to use any solutions as it can damage it.
What’s noise level in db.. is it loud or ok
Great channel! Solid content. One Asian dad supporting another. LOL Not sure if your Tineco or Bissell videos were sponsored at all, but you left off a killer bombshell I'd love to know - comparison video. After re-watching this video, it's clear this is a lot closer to what I want, a steam vac that'll actually clean up messes vs pushing them around due to the front gate's inability to suck in larger particles. Dyson solved this by allowing for an adjustable sliding gate, but they don't have a steam vac yet... (maybe some of that is patented)
In any case, keep up the great work! I hate the idea of using chemicals, like you I have a little one, so steam was my preference anytime I could use it.
BTW, all devices with steamer function, if you can use filtered water (even a Brita), it'll drastically reduce the need to use any other products to remove any of the water build up. I've used filtered water in my coffee maker, hot water boiler, etc. and the amount of build up is next to nothing. Same thing goes for my steam cleaner. I'd do the same for this thing - it'll prolong the life of the product that much longer cause you won't have the caked on water buildup.
I hope this channel explodes and turns into a nice little revenue stream for you and your family. Good luck, and keep up the great work!
Thank you! I buy all my products and you can catch me on Amazon live 5 times a week (I've been livestreaming for 4.5 years now).
1:23 XL cord that's heavy duty... But how long is it precisely? We need cold hard numbers right here! Such a hard number to find weirdly enough..
Has anyone used steam function on carpets? I have to steam my carpets and then vacuum, I would buy this if I could do it all at once but I worry since this is the first of its kind if it is capable of steaming carpets without soaking it.
0:07 why is the dirty water tank leaking?
So I saw the bissell hydro steam review and I just want to know is there a vac mop youd recommend that does hard floor AND carpet. The bissell hydrosteam had a brushroll with integrated bristles for carpet as well. I dont see those on this tineco so im not sure how it would do on carpet
Vacuuum mops are really not good for carpet. Even area rugs. Better to have separate dedicated carpet cleaner.
Hello, I wonder if you could please let me know which is a better option between FLOOR ONE S7 PRO Hard Floor Cleaner and FLOOR ONE S5 STEAM? Thanks!
Hi! I have the both and the s5 steam is extremely powerful but it is corded and does not have as many features as the floor one s7. If you are going to use the s7 or s5 steam on mostly kitchen tile or bathroom areas, the s5 steam is a better value but the s7 is like a Mercedes s class.
I bought this model, however I can't find replacement brushes, they are available for the other models but not this one, not sure why but it has been frustrating are we supposed to modify a paint roller?
Hi! The s5 steam brushroll should be on Amazon. I can purchase it there.
What is the performance like purely as a vacuum cleaner compared to a Dyson. Thanks
It will not compare to the suction power of the Dyson. I would look at the Tineco as a primary wet mop with the vacuum as a secondary option. The Dyson submarine attachment will not compare to the Tineco as a wet dry mop.
What are the differences between auto and steam mode? Is there steam and brush spinning in both?
hi! Steam mode, it activates the steam and the brushes are spinning. Auto, the brushes are spinning but no steam.
So I am just now realizing I can save so much time with little kids by mopping and vacuuming at the same time.
BIG QUESTION!!!! Considering all your pros and cons of every mop you have reviewed, If you could buy only ONE vacuum mop, which one would it be???? Next… If you could buy only ONE vacuum steam mop, which one would it be? What are your two favorites: vacuum mop and vacuum steam mop?
Im waiting on the sane answer too
Planning to buy Bissell hf3..do you recommend it? I will be using only on my tile floor.
Hi! I have a review of the bissell hf3 here. czcams.com/video/t5zx9q4iAGc/video.html. Pros for hf3 are it's bissell so warranty is easy, replacement parts are easy, the hf3 is a solid option especially for tile floor and very affordable. In the sub 250 wet dry mops, the hf3 and the shark Hydrovac are very similar and both work well. They will work better than a standard crosswave for tile only.
The steam is okay to use on real wood floors? That makes me nervous. Can you use without steam but still use as a mop?
Hi! I wouldn't recommend getting the s5 steam unless you intend to use the steam. Regarding for wood floors, if you have protected wood floors, it works for them. But if you have older floors, you might prefer to get a non steam model.
Which one better cleans the floor between S5 Steam vs S7 Pro?
S5 steam does.
Hi does this work well with vinyl floors and would you recommend it?
Hi! I would not recommend it for vinyl unless its completely sealed and high quality. Heat is dangerous on vinyl.
Do you mean regular vinyl like back in the day - older 50s/60s/70s construction, or are you talking about the newer luxury vinyl planks/tiles or even the vinyl rolls used in commercial flooring?
I've been researching the latter options for my new floors, and as someone who's used steam mops on laminate floors and porcelain & ceramic tiles, I'd have no worries at all about steam. I mean, if you left the steamer in one spot for a long time maybe you'd add enough heat to cause some unwanted results. I suspect with most modern day manufactured flooring, the process of laminating the materials (we'd hope) is good enough that it'd probably take a while before you noticed any delamination.
There's just way too many variables in here - including the adhesive used by the manufacturer to bind the layers together. Plus, if you're worried about the older style of laminate, I'd look into what glue they used to glue the floor down. Some vinyl installs require heat - so you might melt a glue, or even the vinyl product itself. I've yet to find a channel on CZcams that stress tests flooring besides maybe a soak test overnight to see if they can get the layers to peel from each other.
You probably want to run a very small test patch somewhere first, see if anything peels away. @TheFrenchGlow's comment about heat being bad on vinyl is true, depending on your product, the intensity of the heat, and its concentration on the area where heat is being applied etc.
Anecdotally, I used my commercial steam mop on cheap ($1-2/sqft) laminate flooring and I never saw any negative effects. We had some warping in our flooring, but we chalked that up to a leak and some pooling of water we couldn't dry out before it did its damage. Everywhere else on my floors that I steam cleaned were fantastic.
Please do a comparison with the Mach V1 Ultra. Thank you
I am going to put the eufy Mach v1 ultra on the list. Thanks!
Hi! Can you use it also only as a vacuum?
Hi it does work as a vac mop for hard floors but not for carpets or anything rugs. It has a suction only mode
You have some very nice reviews. However you did not make the case for buying the steam version of this mop over the standard version. Why would steam be needed in the first place? Heat aids in cleaning speed and deep soil removal. The only area I could possibly see the need for steam is when a sticky soil has dried on the floor. Your tests only involved the standard wet messes that you normally demonstrate. Some messes are not discovered until they have dried on the floor and become sticky. All auto wet mops struggle with this type of mess taking multiple passes and even then can fail to completely clean the floor. It may be that the steam feature would help in this situation but we will never know.
Households that don’t want chemical cleaners in their home will appreciate the steam option!
Also not having to buy the chemicals routinely
I have purchased a non steam and now I have the steam Tineco and will never look back. I have hardwood floors and the way it dries after steaming made my case because it hasn’t damaged my hardwood floors and they are throughout my entire first floor. I hope you’ll give it a try.
Do a comparison with the hydrosteam because you show the Tineco works much better
It's coming!
I wish now that I had bought this one😢instead of the Bissell 😢😢😢
Who has the strongest steam? S5 steam or Bissell Crosswave Hydrosteam? I contacted Bissell and they say they have a 110celsius and Tineco only 62 Celsius. It makes no sense to me!
What about cleaning carpet
I am going to use distilled water, where there is no chance of minerals building up. My recommendation, do not use hard water in any appliance as a rule of thumb. another recommendation. clean up the spill and any solids from the floor before using the S5, this will save time and effort and do a better job.
Thanks for sharing.
I gonna buy this mop vac! can u let me know ur nike free shoe series? look nice though 😜
Hi! Thanks for watching. They are Nike free run 5.0. I have 2 pairs because they are the lightest, comfy sock like sneakers I have ever tried and I had every one of the Nike free runs since the beginning.
Is the warranty worth paying for?
It comes with a long warranty already + make sure your cc has extended warranty. I can't say you won't need a warranty because everyone has different preferences.
It's a good vac but the annoying thing that it's stop working every minute for self clean,so if you have a big dirty area it will give you a very hard time to finish it.
Hi! Can you share what you experienced with the s5 steam? I have not had it stop during self clean and want to investigate
Why steam? Why can't they just heat up the clean water to scalding temperature?
It will scald you but if it's too hot the plastic body will melt
@@TheFrenchGlow the Osotek H100 Pro Hotwave is heating water to scalding temp if not mistaken. But seems like heating up water to mop floor is not a good idea since nobody else do it. I wonder why.
The metal pins on the dirty water tank SUCK dont buy this
