  • Hello all! Here is a short video of the stretches I do before doing quadrobics, how I have my hands when doing quads, and a little jumping and walking warm up, it may help some, maybe not others, let me know if there are any questions or if y’all want videos on anything in the comments!

    Remember: I’d anything hurts, take breaks and do stretches to prevent any damage. Ease into the quads, start doing small jumps and walking/ trotting before anything major.
    I didn’t believe this at first so I would just do them and eventually I had to stop doing them for a couple weeks as it hurt so bad.

      Yes, this is very important, i admit sometimes i ignore doing that and always regret it lol, i have a problem with trying things above my skill level before im ready😅

      yes i just finished my break a few days ago and started practicing quads again but uhm last night i was doing a high jump and i did not bend my arms so they hurt rly bad but i will do them a little cuz i want to do them rly badly so yeh

      I may or may not have done quads last night and this morning and am not even able to stretch due, to it having been my first time... hehe 😅

    i didnt stretch before doing quads for the first time and woke up the next morning in absolute agony from my shoulders and legs 😭🙏

      Oh i didnt
      I dont stretch I ALWAYS FORGET THAT but it never really hurt after doing quads(maybe i didnt do enough quads because i mostly just walk/run around my room)

    Thanks for this, I never really knew what stretches and certain form I should have for quads. I would always feel sore before I barely started and my arms always hurt after a few jumps. This helped a lot ❤❤❤

    OMG TYSMM 🙏 i thought I didn’t need to stretch and constantly practiced my quads until one morning I woke up and my shoulders were in complete AGONY😫 This is video was so helpfull, I really needed this

    This is sooo helpful, tysm! I’ve been just going into quads for the past like week thinking, oh it’s fine, stretching won’t make a difference. Turns out it did and my elbows have been really week and my calves are cramping, so now I know I should stretch!!

    Thanks!! I recently found out i was otherhearted and i had tried to do quads before but i would get rlly sore and exhausted and was wondering if streches would work but idk anything about athletic stuff so this helped a lot with the preparations for my journey in becoming a master at quadrobics!! Thanks again!!

    Super helpful! I did a couple stretches in between, swung My arms once or twice after some of the stretches, Great! I'm an other paw and this was A good stretch.

    I'm a beginner in quadrobics and I'm finding as much tutorials as I can to practice and get better :)
    (and no this is my pets channel not mine so I don't show myself doing it but I might get a channel started for it when I master it!)

      Im planning on doing some tutorials and practice/stretch with me vids as well when i get my appartment cleaned up! And i think its always a good idea to record yourself practicing (posting isnt necessary) so you can look back on it and see what you need to work on like posture and such,

    In terms of a warm up, I stretch, then do a couple walking laps. Then, I work on my form for trotting and cantering, practice falling for jumps, and finally actually do jumps. At the end, I like to trot a little bit, and then do 1-2 more laps of walking to make sure my muscles relax.

      You have to be born Therian to be a Therian, I'm not sure if it takes a while to you know really be Therian and realize it.

      Ig im lucky because when i first started doing quads i could do everything except trot
      Which i still learned pretty quickly(i practiced on the stairs lol)

    When I walk with my hands flat I make sure the palm touches ground with fingers (it helps me to not really fall over)

    I love doing quads but even like a trot is very hard for me because when I do it I just run out of breath so fast, I do tons and tons of stretches and I just started a few day ago? Were any of you guys like then when you started or tips?

      Yes, just do easy walks and practice more to increase stamina

    My wrists fucking hurt like hell. But i want to keep doing quadrobics outside ughhh its so fun but my wrists hurt SO much.

      Take breaks and wear padded gloves, gloves that have antishock padding in the palms are helpful imo, and if you dont let your wrists fully heal that could cause issues in the future, but if you feel like you need to do quads i suggest you do light things like walking/trotting courses instead of jumping and running

    I go full bare hands and feet lol I love the out side and getting dirty because I believe that we were not supposed to be in homes we were supposed to hunt food or eat grass stuff like that when I’m older I’m going to run away into the wilderness and live in a van

      For me i usually do my bedroom or my parent’s bedroom, on fluffy beds, and in large bathrooms! I also am in the same situation as you lol

    Question:
    For me, doing that curl on the hands hurt. Possibly I am doing it wrong, but what difference does it make when doing quads?

      Without curling your fingers, you may break them or get hurt but if it hurts, try stretching your hands, It may help. If you have thick gloves try using those it may hurt less.

      You're not supposed to make your hand a fist. You should bend your finger half way ish. The reason bending your fingers under your hand is important is because it reduces the chance of you breaking your wrist.
      (Sorry if that didn't make sense)

    Having my hands like that, even without putting them on the ground and walking, just makes them hurts. Like curling my fingers up like that hurts my fingers.

    I haven't done physical activities for a long time and oddly enough this was one of the things that will probably help me a lot but for some reason when I started stretching, my legs were shaking a lot I don't know why, can someone explain if this is normal?

      No you dont! Anyone can do them! Quadrobics is very popular in the therian community though any one can be a quadrobist and do quadrobics

      Im not sure if quadrobics trainers even exist, but there are a ton of quadrobics tips and tutorials on tiktok, also remember; not all therians do quadrobics and not all quadrobists are therians, /gen /nm

      Yes of course it is! People who do quads are called quadrobists :) quadrobists and therians are different but a good amount of therians do quadrobics

    i may be brand new to quadrobics but i imagine those shoes are awful on your knee's/ankle joints. i've walked barefoot my whole life so i plan on trying it out like that. your jump probably would feel better and smoother if your ankles range of motion wasn't contained, at least with my experience with parkour and similar sports you need flexible shoes or strong feet in order to keep from injury.
    thanks for the video though, its cool to see how others practice this, i just discovered it today actually.

      I keep the top of my shoes loose so i can move an ankles around quiet well actually! But thank you for the tip, i just can get shoes spesifically for quads rn
