Rivers' vocals are always so good in live videos. Super clean and almost flawless. Even his vocal imperfections are perfect to me.
And I love how gentle Brian plays his guitar even on super weezery loud heavy parts.

Those songs were written during a really dark and emotional point in Rivers' life. Playing them live is probably incredibly difficult for him mentally, and people should respect that.

anyone criticizing Bethany's performance is wayyy too forgiving of Rivers' performance. this isn't me bashing Rivers' voice at all, but come on. that sort sort of dissonant-verging-on-tone-deaf is his entire style. this is one of the best weezer performances I've seen!
Got to see Weezer at the 2016 MN State Fair. One of the greatest experiences of my life. Absolutely love them.

Saw these guys at Foxwoods in CT. The best show I've ever gone to. They played every single song I wanted to hear and more. SO SO SO good.
There's no way a full weezer concert only lasted 42 minutes.
It was during K-Roqs almost acoustic Christmas... A show with a handful of other bands playing.

I mean, if you wanna dismiss it as “the depression album”, that’s cool but there’s a reason why it’s Weezer’s most celebrated album and one of the most celebrated albums of the 90s. But we get it. hickoryhop Cause it's reaaaally fucking hard to sing haha xD voice tends to go a bit live. Most the rest of the set is in the same Eb standard tuning, with no guitar changes. So re-tuning the guitar a whole half step up is a pain in the ass and takes a lot of time. Same reason Island in the Sun is down a half step.
Matt Good Also didn't mention most of Weezer's catalog is in Eb tuning :)
They straight up butchered Go Away. Bethany was singing so flat.
