Great review! Neutral/Transparent is about all you can ask for, and the softening of harder edges and natural tonality you mention are great attributes for a dongle Dac in this price range. Definitely caught my interest. 😀

Definitely an interesting product, I haven't got any of these CS43198 dacs yet, I'm interested mainly in the phase filters. I wonder if the treble rounding is because of the filter, in this case I wonder if the default phase filter is a slow roll-off, and it has less ringing in the ultra highs, so less harsh? They definitely are incredibly small differences most of the time, so I might be wrong. Good video!

yes there are a lot of CS43198 dacs which makes it confusing. And the differences between them does make it confusing.
i plan to make a video on comparing them soon.

i Am actually making a video where in i will compare all the CS43198 dongle dacs. So stay tuned for that. 😄
But if you want an answer now, the yuki is a touch warmer while sounding more resolving and also the soundstage on yuki is the best. Even better than my favourite dongle dac fc6.

thank you! comparison video is good idea. I decided to order iBasso DC04 Pro after some search. I was looking for most neutral sound without extra warmth or anything. Let's see.

Otra pregunta ¿Pareciera que dan a entender que aful es mas suave que yuki pero en calidez analogica gana yuki?Y en detalles algunos dicen que supera a doongle de 100 dolares otros que varios doongle lo superan en microdetalles,no se a quien creerle¿Está lejos de yuki?.¿También es holographico 3D?

but from translation what i understand you are a bit confused about different reviews and that is sort of expected as many people have a different opinion of warmth and sounding crisp.
but for the snowy night for $100 they are quite ok.
if you want big 3d holographic soundstage then yuki id no doubt the winner.
