    This was 7 years ago. You were right about the world and what's happening. This is really helping me learn about what Jesus really did for us. I want to back my words up with scripture. I just want to be someone Jesus is proud of.

    The part when he mentions that there are some "Christians" who refuse to believe that God can transform individual's who participate in homosexuality. I totally agree with this pastor, that if you believe this than you do not believe what the bible says about the works of our God! To add, I was one who lived a lifestyle as such and now is on fire for God! Therefore do not belittle God's ability because of your own personal judgments.

    Gods word was made clear on these issues.... I am amazed at how some people think it can be twisted to suit themselves. Its not about hating those people ....but hating their sin, so they must be prayed for.

    The best book on Leviticus is “ The Way to Wholeness” by Ray Stedman. That book made Leviticus become my favorite book of the Bible. He was a mentor to Charles Swindoll and used to pastor a church in Palo Alto, CA. He passed away in 1992 and I have yet to read a book of his that I didn’t learn a lot from especially his books on Genesis (“Beginnings” and “ Understanding Man”. ). Some of his books that are being republished are updated by someone in the organization so while still good not necessarily all the words are from Stedman’s hand. When I get one of those books I notice that a lot of CS Lewis quotes are used. Love Lewis but I never read a book strictly by Stedman that quoted him.
    Thankful to all the Calvary Chapel pastors and their insights as well.

    I was feeling a bit confused... I had been speaking with a Catholic man and I commented on how in Catholicism there are a lot of things that do not add up with the Bible and what it teaches us, we have one thing in common and that is believing in Jesus BUT (Purgatory, Praying to Saints and Mary, and calling the Pope/Priests Father) among the few that seem off, he responded with "Have you ever heard of the Marian? Mariam Visions? would you be willing to follow those, if not, then I KNOW who I am talking to..." and I thought?? That strange, I've never heard of it.. (Even though my parents are Catholic, Jesus called me to Christianity not Catholicism) So I read a bit about what Mariam Visions were, which was an apparition of Mother Mary that appeared to people and asked for them to pray the rosary a certain amount of times and and repent of their sins for the people in purgatory or going to Hell (somethign like this). I stopped for a minute because we must Test the Spirit but..... how can I know that this is false? how can I know if the Catholic man is telling the truth... but then didn't "An Angel of light" show up to the Mormon leader as well? and that is not Christianity but a cult... isn't this similar? Should we just believe anyone that claims they come in the name of the Lord? So I prayed and I heard in my spirit "Leviticus 19:4" and came straight to CCO to listen to see what The Holy Spirit was asking me to listen to, again and it clicked. I am having a big "a-ha" moment. It makes so much sense... people that are works based believe they can be saved or lighten their "judgement" by what they do, similar to the way people that read Torah and follow Torah believe (because they do not have Jesus as their high Priest and their Savior) because they do not believe in Jesus' finished work on the cross, they believe Purgatory is still a thing...Pastor Paul has given me so much insight in 1 video, I tell you.. I sometimes re-watch and re-read my bible....THE SAME BOOK FOR MONTHS LOL and EVERYTIME there is something new there for me to see... I am so excited and eager to learn. Thank you Jesus, Thank you Pastor Paul. (sorry for rambling I have a tendency to get carried away)

    I’m very confused and I pray that I get a response, so we’re no longer under the Mosaic law and many laws such as not farming same seed in field or mixing fabrics in garments were never even followed but why is the law of not lying with man as woman strictly enforced as a law that should be followed although after many years in the homosexual lifestyle and as a transgender woman I’m looking to be delivered from homosexuality because it doesn’t feel right but I just don’t want to detransition I’ve been following your teachings for almost two years now I read the chapters allow Bible app to read to me then I come to CZcams to be blessed with your wonderful explanation, I’m still struggling but praying for deliverance and to lay my body on the alter as a living SACRIFICE

    Wow it’s interesting what you said about homosexuality coming enormously into our Christian community this many years ago and look at what is happening now. Wow.

  • @Ilithyia_and_Chelsie_Marie

    Honestly I think the confusion stems from the inconsistent translation of the same "male" Hebrew word (זָכָ֑ר) where it's translated to boy/man child in some passages (Isaiah 66:7 and Jeremiah 20:15) but as male/man in other passages like this one. I think this is difficult because there are limited Hebrew words to utilize and it's all about passage context on which is the appropriate.

    I have an honest question. Your speaking on homosexuality… do you believe that it’s okay to be gay, as long as you don’t act on those desires and remain single for the rest of your life? Or what would be the alternative?

  • @joewarhurst5646
    @joewarhurst5646 Před rokem

    One thing I don’t understand is that when pastor Paul on various issues, such as eating pork and seafood, says it’s a good job Christians are not under ‘the law’. Why is this not also the case when it comes to Homosexuality? Why is he treating some rules in Leviticus as not applying to Christians, but others do? What did Jesus say about homosexuality?
