I have a hotpoint tumble dryer which I bought 2 years ago and on the modern dryers such as my own, the filter hinges are made from plastic, so from just general use the filter breaks, the plastic hinges just crack. I have now had to buy 2 new filters since purchasing, so I have to basically buy a new filter every year because it is such a poor design.
ive had loads of different makes, with a large family I accept they will brake every two years or so, my last hoover the heater went and I managed to get a spare for 20 quid which kept us going for another 2 years, now the motor has gone and its over 100 quid, so i might as well buy a new one for around 200 quid and save myself the hassle, its a shame spares are so expensive, hate to waste all that material.
My tcm580 condenser dryer does not spin even after I replaced the pulley. Is there any way I can fix that?

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius 8kg TVFS83 I received it as a replacement toa faultydryer and I just want to know is there a heat setting control without using the programmes .I find it very unnecessarily complicated

On the manual I can see the below advise:
Cotton - high heat
Synthetics - high heat
Acrylics- low heat

Thank you for your comments, I am pleased to see the appliance works brilliantly, expect on drying. Have you thought about having an engineer out to take a look? You may then be able to use the appliance to it's full potential.

Depending on the material of your clothing, some items are delicate to heat and would most likely shrink.

i bought one 14months later it broke down and hotpoint want 125 to fix it. i will never buy hotpoint again
Mate, it should still be under warranty for up to 2 years as per EU regulations! Go to your retailer and tell them to sort it out!

i had a 5 year gurantee for parts but i lived in my house for 5 years so it expired
We are really sorry to hear this! The appliance do only come with a 12 month warranty period.
