What many from not from around here may not realize . Crews were dealing with near hurricane force winds coming off the ocean from storm Izzy. Great job given the conditions they had to deal with.

I'm literally only 45 seconds into the video & just looking at the google maps view hey put in the video & I could tell the winds would be a major factor.

The wind today was outrageous! I can’t imagine firefighting next to the beach.

I understand that this department runs a daily shift of one officer and three firefighters. Sounds like two on an engine and two on the ladder. Holy moly.

Wild fire right on the ocean during a horrific storm. Can’t believe more buildings weren’t lost...

+10 alarms with special calls. All available apparatus on Salisburys run card for alarms 1-10 in Essex County was exhausted. Next called would have been the state task force. Amazing job by first responders under unbelievable circumstances.

Definitely not even close to all available apparatus in Essex County but yes it was a large fire

@@KP415TL3 clearly said “all available apparatus on Salisbury’s run card.”

Some parts of the incident command system are there, some need work. Good work by Car 2 on arrival with attempt of command pass on, tactics, etc.
