It's sad that our society doesn't reward this type of talent, dedication, and passion, all three of which this guy clearly has in abundance.
I wish anyone in this type of profession luck in obtaining additional revenue streams, nobody should have to work that hard for so little.

Society doesn't reward any type of talent at all. It just rewards bankability (actually profits from it). If you're shit at what you do but people still like it because they like shit, then you'll make money. It doesn't matter if you're talented or not.

Something like a UBI would recognize this type of work, along with things like parenting, being a teacher etc, important work that doesn't get the compensation that it deserves

@@MindDrip UBI doesn't recognize any type of work, it's universal even if someone does nothing. That's why its called UBI. It's a handout. Unless you mean something like a "negative income-tax" as described by Milton Friedman.

It’s our jobs as consumers to appreciate their work by supporting. It’s sad, talent like this deserves so much more

$25,000 a year means you're living at the poverty line for all that work, my man. Like most comic book artists, your love of the medium is what is holding you back.

But he is also building a catalog of work to take his company to a higher level.

It's actually two times the poverty line, but yes still, it's definitely not as well compensated as it should be considering how much he clearly puts into it.

thats cuz hes making a company, the average for like a marvel comic artist is a lot higher but his company gives him as much more room and he could hypothetically make wayyyyyy more money then a marvel comic artist could ever rn

it sucks that this guy has to pay $100+ a month for Adobe Suite. Not long ago, you could buy Adobe software outright and not have to pay a monthly fee (which adds up to much, much more than it costs to buy it). Adobe is really sticking it to visual artists, and a lot of us are struggling freelancers making $25K a year (or less). I'm lucky I have a day job as a graphic artist.

Great video, artists are so undervalued for our talents. We love what we do and our passion for what we do is second to none. But he is right the market dictates what sells, so the more diverse you are your more likely to succeed! Good stuff!

You need to create a website on art instruction and charge for it. Also a you tube on how to draw. That way you have other income revenues and you're promoting your company.
