Something I really noticed is that in pacific maps atleast, the pilots usually are.. blind when it comes to planes. I do not know how many times I've just flew up to completly obvious pilots even tough I downed them a second ago. Atleast that's how it is on console. Is it the same on PC?

My grandpa flew the Corsair in the pacific during WW2. He shot down one zero, but mainly did ground attack operations. He always raved about the Corsair over the breakfast table.

My grandpa was in the first D day landing, he was originally issued a .30 carbine and later picked up a BAR because the carbine wasn't powerful enough at range.
My step grandpa was also in the first landing and was with a MG team using the m1919, he later took a garand because the machinegun's barrel overheated and warped and his group couldn't get resupply, it ended up being a few months before they got anything.
And my great uncle was a German tanker under Rommel in Africa, he was captured and sent to an officers pow camp in Texas where he spent the remainder of the war. He talked a lot about the war, and his utter hatred of the SS.
People tend to forget that *most* German soldiers in ww2 were just doing what they had to do to survive.

I love how on pc there's usually a plane available but on ps4 after a few seconds of the plane being available its taken

@@RusnakAutoDesign yeah really fast.. its hard to get a tank to.. you gotta have your pattern down pat.. and takes like two minutes for a tank to respawn.. you goitta know what bottom to push in what order.. no time to look and think about it, gotta be fast and do it blind

I can't lie, I laughed at first about the fliegerfaust. We all remember being infantry it the JU88 days! But I think it does need a nerf, for what it does to the game. I've always thought incendiary rounds needed a buff. I remember you could do good work to a plane in BF1 with an lmg. I had good fun doing that! But it wasn't super broken either. The fliegerfaust faust would have been cooler as a field upgrade.
Speaking as someone who loves to fly, they gotta tone down the re-spawn rate for planes especially on Breakthrough.
GRAPHIC J if anything it should be faster. Breakthrough relies heavily on air support. If your team manages to clear the skies it seems like there is a delayed re-spawn time

More planes - more whining from the "PlAnEZ aRe OP!!" people. They will be nerfing the Fliegerfaust, reducing the plane's insane quick respawn time brings a bit more balance.
@@GraphicJ No, infantry needs air support vs tanks. They should only nerf the explosive rounds which are ridiculous.

But I can’t sit in spawn screen waiting for a plane it’s boring 😂
Honestly , the best build for the corsair is; 4xHMG , Engine upgrade, Full blown canopy, incendiary bombs, flares, and improved control surfaces. This is suited more towards dogfighting and less towards air to ground. No kidding , this spec tree will let you win dogfights at least 2 or 3 times what you normally do. The flares and bombs let you get crazy multi kills and just the spotting points let you dominate the scoreboard. Its also super fast so you wont be getting one shot flieger fausted often unless you just ask for it by cruising low over flags. Overall this build honestly has me flying more than i ever have before. Ranger Dave , i say you give it a shot and try it out !
You’ll have to check the part of the tech tree that allows your over charge to the engine. Makes the Corsair a force to be reckoned with.

I think it acts similar to the nitrous
It has a similar burnout I believe but it can really improve how it handles.
I use the 2 x 500 pound bombs on the zero when defending in breakthrough you can destroy tanks quite easily
Bruh i feel like the Zero is more agile than the Corsair.
Also another thing i hate about it is that the small guns on the blue Corsair are on different wings making it annoying to aim them,
unlike the green zero,both of the small guns are in the middle

These planes are too OP I find myself CONSTANTLY being bombed with incendiary or explosive shells being fired at me and it really annoys me and when I get in a zero or Corsair I’ll get a couple of kills and then three enemy’s will appear out of no where on my tail and when I am throttling back to get behind them it doesn’t go very well
First one , get a fliegerfaust , second one , get good and stay near a anti aircraft turret
It would be cool if we could custom zero the machine guns on wing mounted armaments. The spitfires seemed to have better zeroing than the corsairs. Maybe their the same, maybe I’m crazy, still zeroing would be a cool addition to the flying experience

Corsair love. I prefer it to the Zero actually. The explosive 20mm are great for farming infantry , but I prefer the 6 HMGs with finned barrels - awesome once you figure out convergence.

If it's one thing I've learned from watching Dave is screw using cannons for ground targets just dive bomb infantry and vehicles and it makes avoiding the ff easier.

My grandfather flew a Corsair pretty much as soon as they came out to when the war ended,he had the time of his life
To me the zero was harder, the Corsair I was able to rank up fast. Even without shooting down planes.

Bail out or redeploy lool... If you have a competent opponent there's no hope. Best thing to do is fly towards friendly aircraft in the hope they'll shoot him down

The Corsair is just a beautiful plane. Definitely one of the most underappreciated WW2 planes, up there with the P-40.
I don't know about underappriciated, (I mean it is less celebrated then the Mustang) but it does show up for most Pacific related aircraft. I would say the P-38 is a lot more underappriciated, along with the Hurricanes, or Typhoons.
@@georgewhitworth9742 Yeah, you're right, I guess it's because I don't seem to spot much Pacific-related stuff, it seems like you have to search for it rather than see it crop up on your typical WW2 photos and such.
Is it just me or do the planes in the Pacific war expansion feel more flimsy as in they can't take as much damage?

Both planes are literally the same, only real difference is the wing mounted mgs on the Corsair vs the nose mounted mgs on the zero which makes it way easier to get more hits with both hitting the fuselage vs the Corsair which is way harder to hit because of the space between the mgs

So I always get shot down immediately when I'm flying the Corsair. I'm having a hell of a time trying to get it fully upgraded because that. I'm not an ace pilot or anything, but I usually do pretty well in all the other fighter planes in the game. The Corsair just kinda sucks lol

If you try the dogfight variants try the 4 20mm and 5 inch rockets. Great for planes, tanks and infantry.

The best way to bomb objective A on Iwo Jima is to come from behind like from the Japanese airfield
When playing the Japanese I always use either the piat or Bazoka cause American armor is so strong in break through

I would use the flare and incendiary combo to get loads of kills and always know where enemies are

I just purchased the game and have no idea how to access the aircraft. How do I get the aircraft?
In the respawn screen one either side of the spawn point there is a insignia for planes and another for tanks when one is available it will highlight and you can spawn with it. It is only it some game modes though like breakthrough and conquest.

Honestly like no one in any of the matches I play uses the FliegerFaust, on PS4 at least.
I always pick flares when in planes because I am not a selfish but still like to win. hen your team can see enemy, more chance to win. But most pilots are selfish REMFs who only care about k/d. Seen loads of games with pilots with 150/0 but still lose.
How do you get infantry targets to have red markers on top of them?

kinda weird this corsair has BOTH .50 cals AND 20mm cannons when it should be either or of the two and not both of said armaments.
Just came from the new video you posted but just wanted to ask, do you have experience on console when it comes to flying. I spend most of my time trying to take down fighters on the ground but I would like to know if taking down planes on the ground is easier then if I were to get in a plane and try to down them that way.
I get so seasick when people donmt lock the camera when flying.. Dont know how you can do it.

hi @RangerDave i tried the settings with mouse but it always makes drag the mouse on the entire table just to roll. My new settings are speed high & low & drift right & left with WASD, and numkeys for roll and pitch while space is shoot. How did u set your mouse.
