Because the actor playing The Kid was in his 5th decade here & so had much practice, early in his career he was frequently disrobed, Boris Karloff doped him into becoming a diapered, whipped sex slave for his daughter Myrna Loy in Mask of Fu Manchu.
Some times Smiley got to silly like Fuzzy did in Hopalong and his knees knocking or standing on his head while fitting. Smiley screaming like a little girl or over acted when chased or hurt. I love these movies and understand this is how comedy was done back then. I just was putting my FYI out there. Lol.
