  • This is a Peavey Road Master vintage tube series amplifier from aprox. 1983 manufacturing. Repair and service video. Less of a how to video and more of a show and tell type example. I do hope that it may provide some needed information about the amp though. Cheers!!

Recent subscriber here. Enjoyed this video a lot! Watched the whole thing twice so far. Once before buying a Roadmaster, and again now that I have one of my own that is currently apart on the bench. Same power supply issue as yours. Removed the burned area of the board because the carbonized material was very conductive. Replaced the missing traces with tinned copper wire. Ordering parts today, fingers-crossed. Thank you for making this informative video.

You are absolutely right. It’s a BEAST.! I still haul it around to gigs and rehearsals.

I just got one of these for $100. Found the plate resistor on v1 was open as well. Same 400ohm pcb burn too. I’ll need to elevate it like you did.

Probably out of breath because it weighs a damn ton. Mine has some issues with the lead channel.

Where is a good place to find schematic diagrams for Peavey amplifiers?
I have repaired many tube guitar amps, (probably hundreds over the 35 years I was in business), but I never had anyone bring me a Peavey tube amp for repair.
