I've been obsessed with this game ever since the launch and these two ruined me byeeeee.
The song is Can't Pretend by Tom Odell.
I don't own the song or the clips, only the editing is mine.

I wished that, once beating the game (after defeating Hades), that you could go back to the grave and tell him that he would be proud.
I wish there was a lot more after defeating hades. It felt kinda lackluster to me.
I guess they could have completly finished the game after Hades but then we wouldn't be able to play in game anymore and I, at least, enjoy being able to play after I've completed the game. Hopefully any sequel will resolve more of the questions that were brought up about what happens after Hades.
You can go back to his grave and tell him about everything happening but I don't think you can tell him about defeating Hades
@@UserEros yep. Done that. You can also talk to him during the seige on nora lands, both before fighting eclipse and before going into the heart of the mountain. You get different dilague each time.
There is no end game content so nothing can ever be said about Hades since the game always reverts to before the final battle.
Um you can go back to the grave and talk to rost

It doesn't matter how good of a mood I'm in. This video will always bring a tear to my eyes. Rost really did love Aloy, and he is a hero no matter how you look at it.
Rost was such a great person, he reminds me of my dad and I cried when she died.. :(

Rost was geuinely such an amazing character, and I was so glad to see he wasn't forgotten in Forbidden West. All that I hope is we some more backstory for him if a threequel ever happens

Im so sad for his death, I was angry when he said goodbye. I said good riddance now I wish I could take it back.
Have you ever visited his grave after making the "good riddance" choice? Aloy's dialogue there will really hit you in the gut. :(

Aloy: Not until now, I didn't.
Rost: For you're sake, I must go where you will never find me. This... this is goodbye.

Aloy: Fine. Better for me, actually, to not have to waste any more time on you.
Rost: ...I hope one day you will understand.
Aloy: (Tosses Alana's necklace to the ground.) See? It's easy to throwing away worthless things, isn't it?
Rost: ...I've disappointed you. I hope you'll forgive me someday. (Walks away.)
Aloy: (As soon as Rost leaves she picks the necklace back up (because Aloy's not heartless even in this confrontation))

Because then he made the ultimate sacrifice for her
I'm thinking Rost was just going to disappear, but then he couldn't bring himself to completely abandon Aloy before he saw her became a brave - and when Helis showed up, he knew he had to save his daughter one last time.

I was so sad visiting his grave, made it a point to visit his grave every time

The ending is so sad, their story always makes me cry 😢 Rost is one of my favourite characters, though his screen time is very limited. Can’t wait for the second game to come out, hope he will be at least mentioned there. Thank you for the video!

Towards the end of her training with hers skills sharply honed, I always liked how Rost would give Aloy a warm look and I could see the pride on his face.

I feel the exact same way. Real nice editing with the motifs between young and older Aloy. I sure do love this game.

In the farewell that Aloy can have with Rost (Depending on the choice you choose) the confrontation is undoubtedly the coldest and most painful because it is the last conversation that Aloy has with him where Rost regrets a lot saying: "I have disappointed you." "I hope you can forgive me one day." This causes Aloy to feel too guilty about attending her grave and with more impulse to want to avenge her death (Something similar to what Ellie did with Joel in that she was not able to say goodbye to him in an emotional way). But on the one hand, if you choose the "Compassion" choice, Aloy will understand Rost's decision where he only wants to see his adopted daughter happy without her having regrets and can grow in her tribe, so Aloy tells him to bring her gift whom she will remember as a token of gratitude for everything he taught her over the years and the bond they both had. This relieves Rost and he thanks Aloy for understanding, after which he blesses her and so does she. After Rost's death, Aloy feels very sad, but not guilty because at least she was able to say goodbye to him in an emotional way.

I watched this video yesterday evening. Was thinking about it all the time since then. And now, at night, I want to cry because of it :(. Not only did it make me sad because it reminded me that this beautiful story in this single game (not talking about HFW) will come to an end (haven't finished it yet), but also made me worried that HFW isn't as good as HZD ;(. What if they made the story worse than in the first game? It makes me so upset thinking about it ;"(..........

HZD it turns out is one of my favorite games -- alongside Fallout 4 and Mass Effect. When I first purchased the game for PC I could barely play the game as my video card had only a 2GB GPU. So there was a hell of a lot of lag in various places. By the time I purchased a new video card I had already played through the game several times -- to include Game+. Now with my new video card, I am still playing the game. My only pet peeve about the game is that I am rather partial to Redheads with blue eyes and I hate puzzles and multi-leveled mazes, like in Thunder's Drum.
