Ahh I’m so pleased they have been helpful! Wow, that’s going to be such an incredible event; you’ll have the best time! Don’t be nervous about travelling solo, one thing about cruises is that everyone is SO friendly and welcoming!! Loads of people are on their own, they have tables for solo traveler’s to mix at meal times (if you wish to) and you’ll make lots of friends! Ahhh, you’ll have an amazing time xx

One of or son’s went on a all expense paid work trip to Finland Thursday morning and flew back Sunday night the other week a day at the place then a day on skidoo’s and spa.

My God!!! I can't believe you came to my island (Martinique) and I didn't know. Hope you enjoyed everything😍😘😘 Martinique is a French island, not like Saint Martin which is half French, half Dutch. Like Guadeloupe, we belong to France and our main languages are French and Creole.

We're going to the Caribbean in Dec, just wondering how easy is it to do a private trip of the west coast areas of Barbados and the beach on our own using taxis at the port. We are travelling in group of around 20 people.
Would travelling in local taxis work out cheaper?
Likewise, how easy is it to do our own tours of the different islands using local taxis and buses?
Is there anywhere we can find info on the different excursions? We are going january 2025 for my 40th
Are there any extras one has to pay once on board of the P & O cruise ships? Or any other extras after the basic price? These are usually hidden till you set sail on the ship. 😅

Ah St Lucia was my favourite day! We did a boat trip to the Pitons, highly recommend! I am so excited you get to go this year, I would love to go back x

So pleased you’re enjoying them! We decided over the Christmas period we would book a cruise too! I was pleasantly surprised that the average age is something like 40 odd! So many young people on board. This was in the term time too so in the holidays there would be so many more children there, they are really popular with families xx

Hi my husband, myself and my 2 teenage daughters went on our 1st cruise last year, and we all absolutely loved everything about it, and have booked to go on arvia next year, loads of families go, all the kids meet up with eachother and do there own thing on the ship, defo book with p&o as u don't pay gratuities like u do with the other cruise companies z

Hi Karen, sadly he couldn't come on this one as it was a press trip for journalists/tv folk ahead of Arvia's official launch, so I didn't get to take him or the boys, but I am delighted to be bringing them next time later in the year to show more of what P&O Cruises offer for families and couples. x
Is it quick getting on & off at each port? With local customs
Yes, literally straight off and then getting on takes about 30 seconds! Tried to show it during the video so you could see x

I went to st Lucia on my honeymoon.most beautiful island in the Caribbean. Omg people move on if you don’t like it.

You think they would do the rum tasting in the evening 🤔
You need to be back on the ship in time for the evening meals. You are allocated either an early (6pm) or later (7.30pm) slot. Staff need to get things cleaned up and get some down time too. They work all day. Also, there is a show every night which is also included in the cost. I’ve been on one cruise to celebrate my Dad’s 70th birthday to the Canary Islands.

Usually love your videos.. but the vlog style was annoying to watch..When you talk it is to quiet...if we turn up to hear you..we get blasted by the music, which is way to loud!.. spent the whole time turning thr volume up and down.. very annoying.
I don't find the P&O ships island excursions good.. you don't really get to see the true islands.. it is more silly tourist stuff eg rum tasting. Shame.. you visit all these islands and see almost nothing of the islands, culture and people... they don't seem a good cruise line for actually seeing the places the ship visits.. shame! Or we missed seeing the good stuff.. eg did you see turtle's? The sunset? Swim on a coral reef?... all the nice stuff we didn't see... if it happened.
..no sorry you didn't get across the value of the cruise... a least in terms of the excursions, which is the interesting part of the travel.. the ship is just the floating transportation to get you to the places you want to visit. But this cruise seemed to be all about the ship.. not the amazing places the ship was taking you, which should be the focus of a cruise.
Usually love your content but this seems a bit tone deaf considering the current economic climate...
Hello, sad to read your comment given how much other helpful content there is on my channel for people in various financial situations. I would have hoped by now you would know I would never wish to cause upset to anyone and I am certainly not tone deaf to the current (and for the past 3 years) situation.
Don’t forget I have a varied audience with different situations, budgets and requirements of their own. Many people who watch this may not even follow me but have booked this cruise or another P&O Cruise and simply want to see what it’s like and what to expect.
So many people are finding their way back to holidays now that they can travel again after so long, and in fact so many holidays are actually fully booked for the year ahead, so it’s important to remember all situations are different and I have lots of other videos that I work very hard on across my channel that might be better suited to watch for anyone that doesn’t enjoy this.
There’s so many reasons a cruise is a really great value choice for a holiday, which I hope has come across in this series. As you may probably know, travel is a huge passion of ours and we would always go without spending on other non-essential things throughout the year to be able to travel, but everyone is different, and that is ok.
@@LaraJoannaJarvis everything you said is true and I respect your reply. Have you considered starting a travel channel for the purpose of showing people what it's like? It just doesn't sit well with your other content in my eyes. Only my opinion and like I said, I respect yours.
I agree. Especially as this cruise was clearly all paid for.
