I have never watched so many reactions for one show. Heartstopper has shown me reactors I've never heard of before. I have watched so many Heartstopper reactions and I don't plan on stopping any time soon.
"hopefully there's no drama" LMAO. The whole time I watched this show I kept cringing expecting everything to go to hell. It's sad that I am so programmed by shows and movies that I just automatically expect if it's gay then everything will go to absolute hell at some point.
I totally get this....this series' charm is so much about the sweetness of the developing romance rather than the conflicts that get in the way. That's not to say there aren't obstacles to be navigated, but the show never loses its joyful feeling and that is SO endearing.

It’s quite faithful to the source material. The author ( Alice Osman) is very involved in the adaptation, and it shows. the 2 main characters seem to come straight out of the comics.

Schools in the UK often have a "House" system where you belong to an abstract group of students from different years that compete against the other "Houses" (basically Harry Potter) they're often based on important people or such from British history, so Hamlet being a Shakespeare play here. In my school, they were based on famous local people, and they had actual buildings for each House where all the members of the House would socialise. In the Heartstopper school, it seems they split them into "forms" under a teacher for registration at the start of the day and after lunch. There is some inconsistency later with the House system in episode 8 though.
What's funny is the joe Locke who plays Charlie and Sebastian who plays Ben have so much chemistry outside of the show that people are always debating if they are a real life couple.

So it's being marketed as a romcom but not exactly true. I thought I would hate this show because I hate romance. Even though it's completely fantasy for teenagers to be as emotionally self aware as the characters in the show are, what I love is that it's a show about healthy human relationship's more than romance.
Good point about the track direction. Can confirm we do usually do it the normal way. Maybe it was done that way because of the filming angles needed. Love that you're branching out to react to this - it really is for everyone

Tori is real lol, but I understand why people think that. She is the main character in another book by Alice Oseman called Solitaire. Which is why she is a small role on this book series/show. Nick and Charlie are actually mentioned in that book too but is a small part of that book.
