2023 at Rice University

What a year at Rice, from new initiatives to new construction, it has been a year we will never forget. We want to thank the entire Rice community for all their hard work and contributions that will keep Rice moving forward in the new year.

On Friday, October 21st I was riding my electric scooter by the football stadium, I turned a corner only to be met by a golf cart being driven by a Rice employee, I was hit where I was thrown from my scooter and hit the metal fence breaking my wrist and sustained bruises and scrapes along my body. I missed work for a total of 35 consecutive work days due to my injuries. Rice has been almost no contact and is still "investigating" the incident.
