You should send this as a bug report. The developers will probably find some way to prevent players from pulling it off again.
Edit: The other possibility is giving the player a non-standard game over for it, a screen with a little text box saying how the player starved to death after stupidly sending away his only way out.
maybe when people report to the developer the developer will prevent it by closing the door when the player presses the color on the table I also don't know?

If you stand on the train, you can make it to the ending. To pull the brake outside the train, you can pull the brake for as long as you can when the train starts, so it thinks your hand is still pulling the brake
