Hi. Im a person that listens to Metal.
I can say that our modern metal is mostly suitable for people who want to release pent up emotion. If you look at old metal bands like Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, Black Sabbath, they're more timid and good flowing, and I think that might fit for you.
ALSO, lets not forget the good editing style and quality. You truly earned my respect.

Interesting video, didn't expect it to be about metal. As someone who has mained metal for decades, I think it would be good if you were to revisit to go through all the subgenres and see what speaks to you.
Personally, I started with old-school death metal, melodic death metal and some black metal. After a while, I started listening to modern death metal like deathcore, technical death metal, slamming brutal death metal, and progressive instrumental metal. The world of metal evolves so fast it makes your head spin

Relatable lyric's can really make me like songs that I would otherwise never listen to. Fried by Fluoride is a perfect example of that.
When I replaced my tiny plastic speakers for a big wooden boxes I started listening completely new music. Even a low-end hi-fi speakers will completely change all the songs with properly recorded real instruments.
If your speakers cost less than 300$ excluding amplifier then you might also yet to discover this new world.
