I would like to see how easy it rolls over smooth table top and than a rough surface with an obstacle to view the suspension system working. The next 1/12 model that gets my vote is the stug III in camo with side skirts with 3 different numbers available for multiple purchases. Is Cobi considering wehrmacht 1/12 figures? Wow. What a fantastic idea! Go for it.

This model of Tiger 131 is a war machine under any aspect!🤯 I would like to see other iconic tanks of WW2 in this scale, such as the soviet T-34 or the american M4 Sherman. Good job fellas!

I came about Cobi merely by accident like a year ago. There was a guy with a shop in Vienna selling only non LEGO products including Cobi stock. LEGO had their attorneys zeroed in on him for violation of a number of 3D-copyrights for certain parts included in Chinese sets he was selling. They had Austrian Customs reeled in to basically confiscate a whole Container of merchandise and they bullied him into destroying the merchandise or suffer the consequences, really ugly story. So he put all of his existing stock on final sale hoping to make enough money to not go broke and close shop after that. He is a really decent human being and just got caught up with Lego's bully strategy to keep the competition down at all costs. As they didn't dare to take it up with the Chinese manufacturers and Cobi, they just jumped at the chance to hang the small shop owners instead. Reminds me of the dark ages.
Anyway, the guy was on his way to bend the knee and put all his existing stock on final sale. I wanted to render what little help I could provide and looked for something I might be interested in.
That's when I came across the Horton HO-229 by Cobi and ordered it. First contact with Cobi.
When I built that plane I was kinda blown away by its many outstanding features opposed to what you're used to by Lego and its Chinese counterfeits.
So many new parts with gentle slopes, totally different building techniques including the tiny studs and other parts to connect opposing parts, sturdy design, nice idea to make a landing gear sit in place while still being retractable, awesome special parts for wing tips, rudder and cockpit, covering parts for the underside of the wings, every detail printed, no stickers and more.
I was completely blown away.
Try to build that plane with Standard Lego parts and it will look like a 4 year old's best effort by comparison. I texted to a friend, Cobi is the (much) better Lego, still being in awe of that rather tiny Horton model. So that put me on a shopping and building frenzy over the next months, planes, ships, tanks and boy what a joy it was to build all of them and see the awesome results.
My wife and secretary hated me by then for spending all that money on what they called "toys". Well, they're not toys I would say in my defense but it left like a black hole in my purse for sure.
Then the Panzerkampfwagen VI was introduced and it took me less than a second to hit that order button despite the tremendous Flak I was going to take for it..
I've done some really great builds with Lego and Chinese rip offs but this set was in a league of its own.
The attention to detail combined with Cobi building techniques and your own special parts, that no one else has, made the build and the final result the best thing that ever happened to me in that respect. Great compliment to the whole team of designers, developers and workers as well as the management, this thing is nothing short of outstanding !
Now what do you do, once you've spoiled the kid (in me) ?
The kid wants more, bigger, better ....
Okay, you are focused on military and cars for the most part. That might be a shame for some potential customers but let's just take that as a given for the moment..
In your online catalogue and on Amazon you have the decency to label some of your products as bestsellers, I assume that information to be true and not just a marketing gag.
The Panzerkampfwagen VI is among those labeled as bestsellers, so I take it (beyond all the positive videos by dealers and customers on youtube alike) that your probaly not quite risk free endeavour to make that big step into large scale models with 8000+ parts was a financial success.
Looking at your whole portfolio and all the models I've bought and built I must state, that the majority is in the say 500 to 600 parts, like 50 Euros range.
That's just fine for kids and due to the sturdy builds they can actually play with them without falling apart at the first touch.
However, it's mostly the Daddies, who refuse to grow up and got a much bigger purse who really enjoy what you are creating and producing.
Lego has shifted a large part of their portfolio to adults, unfortunately with a serious lack of quality in many cases and totally overpricing their products.
Your products aren't exactly cheap either compared to Chinese stuff BUT, you are offering a lot of stuff none of your competitors is able or willing to offer.
Special parts of your own design that every Lego kid and adult has been dreaming of for years, model specific parts for cockpits, wing tips, rudder and other detailed parts that would look ridiculous when being built with regular parts, your own developped building techniques with reversing and 90 degree angling parts making each model a sturdy design that can handle external force, every detail printed instead of cheap stickers that look like shit by comparison. In other words, your products are worth the money with all the good stuff you're packing into them.
I don't think I'm the only one to think along these lines and would be willing to put more money into this despite my wife and secretary calling me nasty names over it.
So (inside your current portfolio) let's make a Santa Claus wish list and see if some of them land with your decision makers:
- Build more 8000+ parts models, start with your best selling models and take it from there
- Set up a bigger scale for your future planes, 1.5 to 2 times bigger than you have them right now, go with the best sellers first, B17, B24, Focke-Wulf 190, ME-262, ME 109, Mustang P51,Vought F4U-Corsair, Junkers JU-87 Stuka
- Include famous missing models like Curtiss P-40, Thunderbolt P-47. Avro Lancaster (maybe with a Limited Dam Buster version on top), Boeing B-29 Superfortress, Douglas SBD Dauntless, Grumman F6F-Hellcat, Mitsubishi Zero, Aichi D3A "VAL" dive bomber
- Maybe less well known but still famous planes like Focke-Wulff FW-200, Messerschmitt ME-163, Messerschmitt ME-323 Gigant, Arado AR-234 Blitz, Heinkel HE-163 Volksjäger
- How about a V1 with a starting ramp and a V2 with rocket stand and fuelling mast ?
- How about post war B-36 Peacemaker, B47, B52, B58 ?
- Have you ever though about a Hindenburg Zeppelin ? Nobody has ever done that. You could !
Okay that's just the military part inside your envelope.
What about space and Space X ?
I've been working on a launch tower, orbital launch mount, booster and Starship for over 2 years with standard Lego parts, still not quite happy.
Willing to share my design approach. What do you think in that direction ?

Great! Small quibble though. That "bronze chest" is a wooden block to support the jack. Also, the steel rope on the left side is for changing tracks.

Aaa i jeszcze jedno. Uwielbiam wasze modele ale wciąż odczuwam pewien mały niedosyt wynikający z braku drugowojennych pojazdów Cesarskiej Armii Japonii. Np. Czołg Typ 97 Chi-Ha. To byłoby świetne uzupełnienie kolekcji pancernej. Najlepiej w skali 1:28. Brakuje mi też Churchilla i Cromwella właśnie w tej skali. Pomyślcie o tym.
Ja z czołgów armia Japonii to najbardziej czekam na O-I i jego inne wersje do reszty czołgów super ciężkich

Mam nadzieje że kiedyś zobaczę : M22 Locust , Elefant , Bt 5 albo Bt 7 , Sd.kfz 234/2 Puma , a z samolotów to Su25 ( z wyborem pomiedzy Z.S.R.R i Czechosłowacją ) i ostatnie to szwedzki Saab J35XS
Szwedzki Viggen również był by dobrym modelem ze swym nietypowym podwoziem. Osobiście, brakuje mi trochę samolotów odrzutowych z końca lat 60'tych i początku 70'tych, takich jak: F5 Tiger 2, F4 Phantom 2, MiG 21, Su 7 itp., itd. Również chciałbym zobaczyć Su 25 w wersji K lub T jako przeciwnik dla A-10

Mam już 2 Tygrysy od COBI w mojej kolekcji. Pierwszym jest szary z serii "World of Tanks". Drugi to ów piaskowy model 131 z Bovington Tank Museum. Oba są świetne...Ale gdy ujrzałem ten projekt to dopiero się ucieszyłem! Wygląda znakomicie. Ale przy tejże skali uważam że powinniście już rozważyć opracowanie wersji R/C. Jeżdżący klockowy Tygrys COBI to byłby MEGAHIT! Pomyślcie o tym. Pozdrawiam.

Chyba coś się wam z kolorami pomyliło. Dunkelgelb to kolor piaskowy a ten drugi to panzergrau.
Ogólnie wykonanie i detale super. Tylko to zawieszenie... Kurcze zobaczyłbym jak jest zrobione bo kwestia czy jest możliwość poprawy. Model który nie może stać na własnym zawieszeniu średnio mnie interesuje... Namęczyliście żeby zastosować spręzyny i za to szacun, ale jeżeli zrobiliście pracujące zawieszenie, i potem nie może czołg na nim stać to chyba przypadek gdzie lekarstwo jest gorsze od choroby. Już wolałbym statyczne zawieszenie w takim przypadku.
Co masz na myśli pisząc, że czołg nie może stać na gąsienicach?
@@krellmodelomania4004 Czołg posiada pracujące zawieszenie. Czytaj: sprężyny lub gumki. Szczegóły do ustalenia jak pojawią się filmy ze składania.
Jeżeli postawimy model na jego własnym zawieszeniu kadłub opada i jest problem z tylnym napinaczem gąsienic. Wygląda to BARDZO źle.
Dla osób traktujących to jako model, bije po oczach. Początkowo COBI pokazywało model "wolnostojący" ale po komentarzach (w tym moich) zmieniło taktykę. jak się przyjrzysz to zobaczysz że gąsienice w tym materiale nie dotykają stołu. Dodatkowo nie ruszają się jak szura modelem po stole po zdjęciu wieży. Dzieje się tak dlatego że cobi przyczepiło pod kadłubem podstawkę i koła wiszą w powietrzu.
Problem tkwi w tym że projektant najpierw skonstruował zawieszenie wg wytycznych, i nikt nie zastanowił się co się stanie jak postawisz na nim 6 kg klocków. W skrócie: klapnie i to solidnie. Model ma niezależne zawieszenie na każde koło, i pomimo że jest to poprawne, tu robi problem.
W dużym skrócie: w modelu w tej kategorii cenowej taki problem nie ma prawa bytu.
Hows it with the idle wheel? You have it wrong in all the pictures released, on web page etc., but fixed here.... will the box and manual be fixed for release? Thanks

Moim zdaniem w skali 1:12 powinien się pojawić t-34 jako jeden z dwóch kultowych czołgów 2 wojny światowej ale przyznam że 7tp to też ciekawy pomysł ale nie były to jedyne Polskie czołgi w 1939
The colour looks much darker in the main video compared to when the model is posed next to the real thing. In that short clip it looks like a much lighter colour... Are they actually the same? The darker colour we see in most of the video looks a bit better I think!

Sehr gut gemacht! natürlich viele Teile aber auch sehr teuer und nicht motorisibar und das ist ein wenig schade! Für das Geld kauf ich mir einen 1/16 RC Tank mit sehr vielen Funktionen! Trotzdem ein geiles Modell

Według mnie bardzo rzuca się w oczy brak bandaży gumowych na kołach jezdnych.Powinny być albo namalowane albo zrobione nakładki gumowe.

Słabo, nie pokazałeś silnika, ani skrzyni biegów
Niestety ale model został sporo klejony w celach ekspozycyjnych, dlatego nie udało się pokazać wszystkich, najbardziej pikantnych szczegółów
Ich habe den Tiger zuhause und Ärger mich andauernd. Fehlende Teile, Fehler in der mittelmäßigen Bauanleitung. Das schlimmste ist aber die Qualität der Steine. Leider kann man hier keine Bilder posten den die Steine sind einfach schlecht. Fällt bei den kleinen Dinger nicht so auf, aber hier gehts garnicht. Mir tun jedes mal die 600 Euro leid. Für lange, lange zeit mein letztes Cobi Modell.
