- From the visionary mind of writer/director Brandon Cronenberg, POSSESSOR is an arresting sci-fi thriller about elite, corporate assassin Tasya Vos. Using brain-implant technology, Vos takes control of other people’s bodies to execute high profile targets. As she sinks deeper into her latest assignment Vos becomes trapped inside a mind that threatens to obliterate her.
- Krátké a kreslené filmy
The Cronenberg genes are strong
The "finger pouring" visual has me sold!
Man that trailer music is a banger
Ted Regklis - Guilt
@@naramoro thank you!
by Jim Williams, score out 10/2
neon is just as badass as A24 !!! always coming up with amazing movies
After 8 years, Brandon Cronenberg is back.
This film will disturb like few have [watch the uncut] , it truly is a work of genre niche art. This will rattle even the heartiest.
As soon as you can, watch this movie. It's real good. Much better than this trailer. It's a slow burner, with a great ending. Great visuals. Great colors. Great acting. Great soundtrack too. It has it all.
Gil, callate. Si ni entendiste el trailer, menos espero que hayas entendido la pelicula. Posiblemente sea mejor de lo que puedas entender.
Where can I watch this movie?
@@WeekendUpdate7 nowhere. as of yet. officially. I think. it came out in France recently though. I believe.
@@MultiNatla No it hasn't come out in France recently though.
Is it better than Antiviral?
neon film trailers always have that dopeass music
Ted Regklis - Guilt
God damn this looks cool.
Like a combination of Black Mirror, Good Time, and an old Cronenberg flick.
Love it, will watch.
Some of the Camera Angles in this gave me a bit of Mr Robot vibes too.
That's because Cronenberg's son is directing this film.
it was unbelievable. seeing it again tonight
The only problem with that statement, is, its none of those. The trailer doesn't capture the atmosphere of the film. Brandon and his father are not one and the same, but stylistically similair.
And I'm a David Cronenberg fan since the 80s. This is something much different.
@@MK_Ultra91 Could you please tell me the difference? Minus the spoilers.
Watched it last night as part of the London Film Festival. Really gnarly, mean spirited sci fi horror with an interesting story, strong duel performance, some haunting visuals and buckets of blunt, gruesome violence. Would recommend!
Fantastic discription for a terrible film.
@@th3azscorpio Why don't you fantastically describe why that is, and lend your opinion some credence. I know which comment I'm more convinced by so far.
@@BlueZirnitra Go ahead and dissapoint yourself. I certainly wont stop you.
@@th3azscorpio Why can't you answer the question?
@@BlueZirnitra Alright, I'll answer. Its a shit film. No elaboration. No real backstory. No real dilemma in the film regarding the morals or ethics of hijacking random peoples bodies to conduct assassinations. Just a lame, thinly veiled feminist message of a woman finally pushing through, and eliminating her family, so she could focus more on her work, and selfish desires.
I've been waiting forever for this
Watched this on 4K disc as a blind buy a while back and it became one of my top favorite recent releases along with Suspiria 2018, Neon Demon, and Mother! Instant cult classic! Many won't find this film until years later and that's okay. Excellent if you enjoy a fresh psychological horror that you won't forget. Awaiting Infinity Pool 👀
I kept reading that as "a blind guy" and was like, "how did the blind guy watch it in 4k?"
Brilliant although hardcore movie, Risborough is an incredible chameleon actor as always.
this trailer is way better than the uncut trailer. if you're thinking about watching other trailers for this movie, just don't
The movie is great! And I keep coming back to this trailer, cause I adore this song! Its perfect with the visuals of the trailer
Just Like His Father..
Saw it @Sundance. Incredible!!

I’ve been waiting for this movie
Christopher Abbott killed it!
Antiviral was so good. Can’t wait for this
Like father like son. 🐺♥️🐺
I am hella intrigued.
yeah I'm gonna need you to release this movie like...now :D
What an amazing trailer
This movie was good. It’s hard for films to make me feel uncomfortable but this one did.
If Christopher Nolan made a Dario Argento giallo film, it might look something like this.
It’s a Cronenberg movie basically
Mister regklis this is perfect soundtrack
Ok rarely get exited about trailers but 'I watch this the second it's released.
This movie melted my brain
Yes to all of this
This movie goes in my top 10
Looks awesome
I want to ingest this into my veins, now.
Finally. Now I wanna lie down and being controlled by someone else. ^^
Alright... now that is how you do a fucking trailer; don’t reveal shit about the story, but provide imagery that will intrigue your viewer. Looks amazing.
andrea riseborough always brings it.
Wooooooooow
Very cool trailer
Dear god, like father, like son.
This is genuinely unsettling
Dope
Anyone else think of Tenet when they saw this?
This has potential for a SEQUEL twist. Looks quite interesting. 🎥😄
SOLD
💯
queen andrea riseborough
Ok well I interpreted her descent as part of her job of course, also to be part of her subconscious - like she no longer wanted her husband and son. When she was with them at the beginning she wanted out quicker than she told her handler - Jennifer I mean. I'll have to watch it again - maybe not - but to understand why the heck she/he couldn't pull the trigger to get herself out like four times???? Hmmmm - do I recommend it - don't eat before or during ... Cronenberg always....Thanks.
WHEN!?
If you know where to look, the movie is already released. :)
Dx Woodward yeah, saw it several weeks ago, didn’t realise until today it’s still not released yet. Incredible movie.
now THATS a trailer. so much better than the green band. and half the length.
It’s a teaser.
Anyone know the name of the music or is it part of the original movie soundtrack?
Guilt by Ted Regklis
I'm down.
Where can I watch this movie? Anyone know???
Uh, it's been around over the internet for a while... Great movie btw.
Gonna watch it tonight (plex) Looks interesting.
AKA Distracting Watermark: The Movie
Where can I find it?
where can i watch it?
@@JohnSmith-wi4xo it's a service/software that let's you watch media from your computer/server through your roku/phone/xbox etc. A friend of mine had Possessor and uploaded it to his plex account. Then I can watch it on plex.
Possessor, The Rental, Relic, The Lodge, Spree, The Invisible Man, Color Out of Space and Saint Maud (Best horror 2020)
I’m not watching this on my fucking phone or tv, *PLEASE* Be a Theatrical release next year!
Movie is great but I’m dying to know the name of the teaser’s music.

Can someone who’s seen the film tell me if this movie is gory and if it is, if it is practical effects heavy?
Yes and yes.
M. N. Thank you, that’s all I wanted to know
The Void You’re welcome!
Incredibly gory, but don’t understand the second half of your question.
There's two cuts of it if gore is a problem for you. UNCUT is the gorier cut which is the extended, uncensored, and fully-realized version, but it's a bit much on a first viewing. The R-rated cut (yellow cover) cuts away from the squibs and practical gore effects quicker and completely omits certain moments involving a child. The violence is the only thing cut down to achieve the R-rating, so that tells you how violent the version shown in film festivals and theaters was. I can tell you from personal experience, it was the most vocally engaged small audience I'd even been a part of, it was a lot of fun.
muy salvaje
There's a 1080p screener copy of it floating around if you know which bay to dock your ship.
fuckin yes
So, you have a movie for me?
Yes sir I do!
Not soon enough
The movie looks promising. However, what is the restriction on the so-called "RED-BAND? "
nothing overstep.
A knife visually entering a neck most likely and the tons of blood. Also a sex scene.
What was "Red Band" about that?
Blood
a knife entering a neck, duh
I have a feeling I will need to watch this on the toilet. It looks like it will scare the shit out of me.
Sweet. Now don’t show us anymore, thanks!
So. Fucking. Down.
Why redband??
It looks like a more fucked up live action Paprika
Paprika would was much much better.
What
so assassin's creed
awful trailer. WTF is this about??
It's a terrible film, so the trailer was at least honest in that degree.
So, there's this hitman (or I guess would it be a hitwoman? doesn't matter) who uses other people to take out targets that she syncs up to using a machine that lets her be them for a few weeks before doing the hits. It takes a toll on her psyche as her pretending to be each person becomes so much a part of her identity that when she's back to being herself, she still feels like she's pretending. She does this numerous times as the mounting personas wrack up a number on her mental health and the serial-killing really gets to her too, she becomes almost obsessed with violence, thinking about it at moments when she she just be living her life like a normal person. She wants to live life like a normal person but finds it increasingly difficult to do so because she is no longer a normal person, possessing that life much like she possesses each body for "work", which is why she associates the two, hence the title of the film. Without going into spoilers, her next body isn't as co-operative at letting her control it as the next target is his father-in-law, so his resistance gets in the way of her doing her job and she finds herself struggling to disconnect whenever she wants to. Everyone is stuck in a bad situation trying to co-exist without someone else getting the other killed. The hitman also is a very cold and detached character, who acts as if with each identity she takes on, she loses a bit of not only herself but also her humanity. And this is not you you want to be shacked up with when you're a guy just trying to enjoy an evening with his wife and his father-in-law at a party trying everything you can to resist this other person. That's what I'll leave you with.
This movie was meh at best. Had so much potential wasted. Answers no questions, especially considering the really fucked up ethics the film presents here, and ultimately suffers from the same issues that plague the majority of modern films, much less indie films. Could have been much more.
