Kalinka is a Russian song by Ivan Larionov, written in 1860 and first performed as part of a theatrical show by Saratov. Since it was written, Kalinka has turned into a staple folk tune for choral groups and is cherished in the Russian repertory. This virtuosic piano arrangement by Andrew Wrangell combines various beautiful flourishes with lush harmonies to make it the perfect concert opener!
