Nearly half of my Middle Eastern fragrances needed a month or even more of maceration. I think many frags get a lot of undeserved hate because people don't know. Great vid and keep spreading the knowledge.
I've seen a big difference after only a week of maceration with some of my clones (ram silver for example smelt weak at first.) I let a few sprays out the bottle to get oxygen into the bottle then let it sit.And after a week it smelt stronger and the pear note smelt stronger and even my gf couldn't tell the difference between it and my og ultramale

When mascerating, should i put the cap or just left it without a cap?
@@RalsRdh The cap doesn't matter, I find spraying enough to get a tiny bit of airspace in the bottle and letting it sit is most important. Some get better fast, some take months.
Maceration is definitely a real thing. I have macerated several of my Middle Eastern fragrances. I have noticed a tremendous difference from the time I received it until it had time to macerate. I had to macerate CDNIM EDT, CDNIM Iconic blue, Hamidi Addicted Intense, Qaud Al Fursan, Arabiyat Prestige citrus oud, L'aventure Intense just to name a few. They are beastmode fragrances now.. except for L'aventure intense. 😅

How long did you macerate your CDN Iconic for? I've tried it on a few times in store, I really wanna like it but just can't. Wondering if it just needs some time to macerate... how would you describe the changes to it?
@@dayforit1750 I used it a few times and then let it sit and macerate for a month or two. It smells so much better and the performance is beastmode. I'm getting 9+ hours longevity. It was lemony smelling and only lasted 5 hours when I first used it. CDNIM Iconic is some good stuff. 👍

All of my Middle Eastern clone fragrances needed to go through this process to smell decent. Almost returned a bunch of them for that reason.. Glad I gave them time to sit but we’re talking six months to a year plus.

Khamarah was the one that convinced me that maceration/maturation/oxidation or whatever you want to call it is absolutely real. when I got mine, the PD date was just a few weeks prior, and it smelled off, no sweetness, and performance was not that great, but within a few weeks, all those sweet, gourmand note came out, now its a beast.
also, glad you mentioned this as lattafas OG, it is not an Angel Share clone, (they also have another one for that) this is their own variation twist on Angel Share, Khamarah is it's own wonderful thing.

@fatimaanam490 I started noticing a change in a couple weeks, but gets better and better like wine.
I macerate everything as soon as I've got them, it's why I've ended up loving quite a few frags I was massively underwhelmed with at first.
Sapil Disclosure was the most crazy macerate though, when I got it I was like 'yeah, that smells like the Fahrenheit old formulation for sure but it's weak' - left it about 8 weeks and it was an absolute beast, just like the '90s stuff, and now after longer it's almost TOO strong. 2 sprays and it's pumping off me all day. 3 sprays and it's just too strong for me to cope with, like I've been bathed in it.
I'm exactly the same when it comes to clones. I always do 10 - 20 sprays to get oxygen into the bottle then let it sit (you can still use it while its macerating) when I got Ramz silver it was kinda weak at first compared to my og ultramale. And after only a week of macerating I smelt a big difference. It smelt strong and I could smell the pear note more. And when I wear it even my gf thinks I'm wearing the original ultramale 😂😂

Man, That Polo Blue (Parfum concentration) is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I honestly think that its pretty unique amongst most of these "Blues" that are being hyped nowadays.

That Ejaazi Intensive Silver is #1 in my book...Ive never had a fragrance get better with time than that one.

@J.M888 give it about 2 months...just be sure to get some air in the bottle with some sprays.
With every bottle I own I shake it aggressively for awhile, spray a solid 4 sprays, leave the cap off for about 4 days, then put the cap back on put it in the collection and won’t touch it for about 2-3 months. The maceration process is real

It's just dumb to be able to enjoy a fragrance 3 months after purchasing. I would macerate for a week. 3 months is excessive and dumb

If you are talking about Ejaazi Intensive Silver? Uh i had written off this fragrance. I kept coming back to it and nope not good. Well after a year i just checked it out and NOT BAD. Ill definitely add it in to the rotation. It still has a slight soured smell but not bad.

Enjoying the content, I have had 2 very noticeable maceration experiences. 1st just like you, lattafa ejazzi gold and silver were not that great out of the box, I only got 2-3 hours of longevity. After a couple of months, what a difference! I get 5-6 hours from ejazzi silver and ejazzi gold turned beast mode 10-12 hrs on skin and 48 hrs on clothes. 2nd was with Fragrance world imperium, out the box was extremely disappointed when it only lasted 30 minutes. Several weeks later it did improve to 2-3 hours. If I sprayed heavy on clothes it would last over 4 hrs.

I just got Afnan 9PM and it's not at all what people talk about as far as performance is concerned. Mine, an Oct 2023 bottle, shockingly lasts 1 hour on me!! I've heard they reformulated it so I'm not sure if it's that, a bad batch, the need for masceration, or all the above!!
Paris Corner Pistachio Khair. When I first sprayed it all i got was salty pistachio dust in the bottom of the bag. After a month or so, it opened up to an amazing scent.

I hope you show how to macerate the colognes. Some say you spray them a bunch others say you remove the sprayer and let it sit.

Crazy I found this video. I just purchased LV Meteore in a 200ml. The performance isn’t as good as the sample I had. I know they use a lot of naturals but I definitely think it needs to Macerate. I sprayed it 10times and put it away. I hope I get it to hit harder.

I believe it is MATURATION and not MACERATION one needs to do with frags at home. Frags need to be "aired" out and allowed to "breathe".

Correct. Maceration is actually part of the production process before bottling.
my MA Tabac has become less weak after year. No more sweeet honey and dried apricot. Will take a look further. Sad

That is incorrect, you have to perform la liaison and pronounce the S as a Z to link the two words with a Z sound. French has to follow a consonant vowel consonant vowel pattern and they have rules for changing the sound or adding a sound to maintain the pattern.
@215jerome you have to pronounce the S as a Z because you have to follow la liaison. Trez Nuit, the z sound is added to link the two words together.

I know it's a matter of opinion . I own 6 clones and find the two best by far are Zimaya Sharaf Blend , and a close 2nd , the little talked about Montage Intense by Grandeur Lattafa , I just got below performance with Cocktail Intense and think these are closer and perform better . Of course , no right answer and just matter of preference .
@@Hill3304 yeah man is like you said preference and personal opinion . I sold my Zymaya because I found it was half (Khamra) and half Angel Share it was like a blend . Also Zymaya is more Powdery and don't enjoy too powdery fragrance . So I have a bottle of Khamra and 2 bottles of cocktail intense 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

Completely agree. I love that fragrance it’s $18 on Amazon. Cant beat it. I smelt the OG and like cocktail intense. It’s not Gourmand like theOG.
