      Beth Brown I am feeling this way now. I’ve had this printer since September and I am still not printing effectively like I want to. I just need help from somebody with this same printer to help me get my colors to pop more in shirt and also having issues with printing on dark color garments.

    If you are to leave your printer alone, ex. traveling, set it up plugged in with a simpel electric timer, so that the printer runs through the starting procedure like once a day. It uses a little ink, but keeps the printer ready for use.

    Good Video, use two folded up paper towels (one inch in width when complete) instead of the paper. Remove all the print cartridges (Remove one screw from cover, then pull off cover. Remove each cartidge with small flat screw driver.) Tape hole of each cartridge, use a fish tube or nebulizer tube to connect the small connector on base of printer head manifold, connect the other side of the tube to a printer syringe filled with window cleaner containing ammonia. Squirt 1 oz of glass through the connector on the printer head manifold. Then leave connected with cleaner soaking printer hole. Insure you have no air bubbles in tube. Let set for 4 hours. Then remove syringe, tape on cartridges, paper towel. Pop ink cartridges back into printer. Reinstall print cartidge cover if you have one.

    Absolutely love this printer it was so easy to hook up and learn how to use all with the Hp smart app. It comes pre installed with ink and it gives you the option to have ink unlimited! Definitely worth the money.

    Great video! Followed your instructions, and all went as you said. But, now I don't have any black lines in my nozzle check pattern at all. Have already run two head cleaning cycles and printed two test pattern pages. still no black at all. I think I have the exact same continuous ink delivery system as you have in the video. Any ideas you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • @tfactorychellemark6314

    That was cool thank you, tried it on my other printer and it worked like a charm, i have another one, its a new printer 2 months old, the only problem was the black ink, tried to unclog it your way, didnt work sad. my supplier has poor service for customer complaints how sad.

    Worked Great for me, Thanks for the video. I did one thing different. I would inject 1-2 ml of fluid into the print head then pull the plunger back until I was getting ink in back into the syringe. Back flushing the print head. My old 1430 that has been sitting around with blocked print heads for over a year is now fully functional. yeah !!!!

    I tried everything to clean my print head. Ran print head cleaning multiple times, used print head cleaner on a paper towel and left sitting under the print heads, injected print head cleaner directly through the nozzles, but nothing worked. The cleaner was going through the nozzles, so I was satisfied they weren't clogged, but still when I ran a nozzle check, the pages were coming out blank. Was getting ready to chuck it in the bin then thought it might be an air block that was causing it. I put a paper towel under the print head again and used an empty syringe with a silicone tube attached and held it over the air holes in the bottom of the cartridges. Gently forced air into the cartridge and viola! Ink started flowing from the print head again. Try this method if you are not having any success with the others mentioned.

    Hello, I had darker lines on blue and black so I decided to clean the
    head. I used cartridges filled with cleaning fluid and also I left a
    soaked paper towel underneath the head for 6 hours. Nozzle check before
    the cleaning was good (just had the lines) but after the cleaning and
    printing full pages/doing several head cleans etc black nozzle check is
    still bad - missing about 30% of the lines. All other colors reappeared
    to 100% but just not the black. Any suggestions please?
    Best Wishes!:)

    • @HillBrosTech
      @HillBrosTech  Před 7 lety +1

      Thanks!. Are you using 2 different kinds of inks? Sometimes different brand inks can congeal. Or the printhead is still dirty, like there's some black on the yellow area and it's mixing on your page. Maybe I'll have to do another video with some more tips.

    • @jeffreyyoungblood7438
      @jeffreyyoungblood7438 Před 7 lety

      HBT maybe I am using two different inks. not sure but I wouldn't think so. I just recently bought the epson 1400 stylus and also installed a continuous ink system at the same time. I've made enough prints that the old ink should be gone.
      The printer was used. It was showing low ink levels before the clean, and then showed full after. I thought that was interesting. they may be overly muddied heads and clogged still.

      Try this :
      Put some isopropyl aclohol on the yellow head and after that try putting a straw on the yellow head and blow hard with your mouth.It should open it up.
      Also check if the yellow cartridge (the white square thing) is loading up with ink..i.e. has free flowing ink inside it..that can also be a problem . If it is clogged, disconnect the pipe and put a syringe at the point where the pipe was connected to the cartridge..push it back and forth with air or warm water..it should unclog it .

    I got an EPSON 1430 a bout 4 years ago ... and I'm not a high volume user . In fact, it could be weeks before it gets used. So, I'm at a point now when I do a nozzle cleaning , there are small skip areas. Is there any reason why the print head couldn't be cleaned in one of those ultrasonic baths? I realize that the "foil" where the ink comes out is sensitive to any handling ... but if there were a way of suspending the unit into the cleaning liquid, ... would this not do the job? The other question I have is where do I source the necessary replacement parts for this printer ... now that it's been discontinued? The other major circumstance is that, living here in Canada, ... shipping costs from the U.S. are prohibitive ... in most cases, gar more expensive than the parts themselves.

    What should I do if my printer is printing completely blank as if the inkjet nozzle is not touching the paper at all? The printer had been in storage for about a year. The model is an Epson wf 2630. I bought new ink cartridges.

    I have a monster of a situation. My Stylus Photo 2200 was stored for over 8 years (maybe closer to 9). It was stored fairly protected from temperatures (with the ink tanks in it). Now that I'm trying to use it again (I upgraded my DSLR) the yellow refuses to work at all. for the last month I've had a set of tanks I bought with printhead cleaner in them have been sitting in it, running head leaning cycles once a week, per the instructions... mostly (4 cleaning cycles then a test sheet, repeated twice) and nothing has changed. This morning I ran the cleaning cycles and test sheets, as I have the 3 weeks prior. NO CHANGE AGAIN. I chose to repeat again this evening but nothing showed on the test sheets, NOTHING... the printer went through all the motions, but without printing a pattern on the paper. I can't get this cleaning set right now, but as soon as I can. I hope it will save my printer.

      I did do a video. I'll work on editing it tonight. There's also a product that you have to install soon after to prevent your printer from dumping ink everywhere. You must have printed a ton or done a ton of cleanings for it to have done the pad max out warning.

    Hi! I have an Epson 7600 that had not been used for several years. The blacks were fine. The yellow and magenta had air bubbles in the tubing. Upon cleaning the head with Windex (the ole paper towell overnight method) the yellow started to move through the tubing and the nozzle check was now perfect with the yellow. After second overnight Windex still no magentas. Do you think the ink is dry in the tubing or it it is a the heads that are still clogged and it's creating a vacuum? Do you think the product you mention might work with the 7600? Thank you! Laurie

    I have an Epson c88 stylus printer. I use it with a CIS system with sublimation inks. The printer is about 6 months old. It has started having very tiny black specks on my printouts, that looks like little specks of pepper . Do you think that this would help fix whatever these tiny specks are? I have no idea where they are coming from. Sometimes there are a lot, sometimes not as many & there is no special pattern.

      In addition to the method in the video, take a piece of kitchen towel - or a piece of cloth, saturate it in cleaning solution or water - and place it below the print head assembly. Try gently either moving the head assembly left-right - or polishing the bottom of the assembly by pulling the cloth gently back and forth. You should see a lot of old ink being transferred to the cloth.
      Repeat with clean cloth until reasonably clean. Then do the de clogging using the method in the video.

    I'm having trouble getting this to work as of right now. The solution doesn't want to feed through my yellow... I use the printer often so I don't know why it would be so clogged. The first attempted flushing just made the yellow output a lot worse.

    • @HillBrosTech
      @HillBrosTech  Před 7 lety

      I've found that if there's bubbles in the solution when injecting it, it can actually make the output worse for a while. Try tapping the syringe like a nurse does before sticking you. Maybe that will help.

      Yes I am the same. My 1430 hasn't been used for about a year and it is all clogged up. I use an external ink system like in this video and I had run out of ink for it. I have just ordered some new ink in so when it gets here I will need to clear out each of the print heads to get it running again.
      Update (24/10/2018): My ink arrived and I followed the process described in this video and it worked a treat. I used folded paper towel under my print heads rather than just plain paper so it would be more absorbent but it worked well, all the dried ink was removed and the cleaner being injected through the heads flowed clear. I primed my ink tanks with the new ink and did a few head cleaning cycles and the printer was good as new!

      Haydn Allbutt hey I’m very new to printing but someone had one of these 1430’s sitting at their office because it just quit printing one day and they didn’t have time to troubleshoot it and could afford to buy another bigger and better than 1430 model. I can’t afford a new one and I’m praying I can save it. So, can I just do this nozzle cleaning w this solution cleaner first while adding a waste tank and then go buy the ink afterwards?

    • @AusFastLife
      @AusFastLife Před 5 lety

      Hi Christi Davis. Yes is the short answer. The cleaning process described in this video will dissolve the dried ink particles, resuspend them in the cleaning liquid then rinse the cleaning liquid from the print head. If you rinse the print heads until the liquid runs clear there will then be no more ink left in the print heads, so if you leave the printer for a day or two then there will be no problems. For particularly clogged print heads, I have squirted the cleaner through the print heads as best I could (try not to put too much pressure as you don't want to damage the print heads, they are very very fine holes), and then left the cleaner over night to soak, and then ran some more cleaner through the heads the next day. So there is no problem with leaving the heads having cleaned them with this method. I wouldn
      I wouldn't leave the print head cleaner in the print heads for weeks though as the liquid will evaporate potentially leaving residue behind which may gum up your print heads even worse than the ink. But certainly so long as the cleaner solution does not in turn dry out (couple of days should be fine) then all should be ok. If the printer has survived for this long with out being used, you could alternatively just wait until you have your ink then start the cleaning process.
      Good luck!

      @@AusFastLife Hi Haydn, all of my print heads were super clogged, and I tried this method. Unfortunately it didn't work, so I repeated the process and now it is worse than before! I then ran multiple standard head cleaning cycles to no avail. Any tips? I don't know what to do at this point. I've been having trouble for a while and I think my yellow might be clogged, it test prints so faint I can barely tell if any of it is there, no gaps, not really gaped just extremely hard to see. I've been having an issue for a long time getting it to print images with a neutral grey, instead it will substitute grey with blue, or brown, or purple, depending on the paper, but it never print's grey and hasn't since the genuine ink (I now use Precision Ink).

    • @69Dartman
      @69Dartman Před 5 lety

      Yes, you can do it with the 3640, same idea but only 4 colors. I have one with a continous ink setup on mine and it decided after about 3 years to stop pulling ink through the black cart. They hate to sit and they will dry out and clog. I bought the updated version of the same CIS and filled it with my leftover ink, plus the new pigment ink I bought for it. It took a bit to clean and purge everything but it's working OK again. I think I'll get a cleaning kit myself as it obviously clears the heads faster than running cleaning cycles and wasting ink, plus if your cartridge on a CIS setup plugs you can probably clear it as well and get it running again.
