"The Buddha's still there"
Shawn: *gets restoration tools and convincing speech ready*
Bakeda beans
I can't wait for *Restoring the Chessington Buddha!*
He'll be restoring Rameses Revenge as a scenic prop next
I imagine you as a toddler on a bouncy castle saying 'wheeeeyy airtime'
Haha 😂
Great video Shawn it’s really cool to see the parks back in the days 👍
I'll never get to see them like that!😭😭
Thank you!
I could talk about Gulliver’s all day, from the west world playing in the buildings and going on the flume, to the lazy river ride surrounding Percy pigs golf course, you would go up a chair lift to adventure land and work your way down, switchback was near the bottom of the park. The layout changed so now you enter in the middle, near the building with the modal park and the log coaster, a park that I treasure in my heart, though I prefer the Warrington park, Matlock bath is always going to be the original one in my mind. I didn’t really go to theme parks, so my childhood consists of West Midlands safari park and gullivers
Same with Cadbury world even though that's not a theme park.
never clicked so quickly on a video 😂😊
Enjoy!
same!!
Fantastic to see what the parks and rides used to look like and what great memories looking back at them must be for you. Made me want to look out my old photos again.
that's great to see that your family shares your passion for theme parks. Now I understand where that theme park enthusiasm comes from :)
A great little throwback!
Cool photos, thanks for sharing.
They all look so cool
Thank you!
Just little things like this are so interesting especially as an enthusiast
Ahhh Shawn how cute were you as a kid. Was lovely seeing old pictures and seeing how much theme parks have changed Thankyou.
No major Planet Coaster park updates. Just added a statue and more trees in small empty gaps around the rapids. I have begun work on the indoor section. Have done the building and am playing around with a Eurofighter I am putting in there
I love these photo vlogs and cannot wait to see your onride photo vlog soon! Thank you for sharing all these great memories with us.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for taking time to share this with us, Shawn! It makes me feel like one of your friends! The great content is much appreciated!👍👍
Thank you Steve!
Always good to go down memory lane
It’s incredibly wholesome seeing you close with your parents. Absolutely love these videos.
Thank you!
Such a nice video to watch just like the other one was! Great to see all your younger theme park memories Shawn. Good work 👍👏
Thanks Oscar
Memories to treasure forever xxxx
So happy you’ve done a part 2! Reminds me of how my family went alton towers all the time in my childhood!
Thank you for watching!
This nostalgia is just what I needed. thank you
I’m glad you enjoyed it
It’s crazy how much rides have developed x Shaun your videos are ace x
We used to go to Drayton all the time growing up as it’s only an hour up the road but I’ve not been for several years now. I was shocked to hear Pirate Adventure had gone so I had a look at what else had gone... they’ve barely got anything left! Such an absolute shame - so many happy memories from that park. I hope they can turn things around but sadly I’m sure this year’s closures haven’t been great for them.
I love these videos - they are a nice branch off from the normal content! Nice video.
Thank you!
No problem. Your channel is great, and you deserve more subscribers.

Some real classic shots in there!
Love these videos
Keep these photos coming! :)
Was great to see some of these parks from the south as I used to live near Thorpe Park when I was around the same age as you in those photos so Thorpe Park, Chesington and Lego Land were regular places for me and seeing these pictures properly took me back. Haven't been back since around 2003 I think so it was sad to hear some of the changes that'd happened. I still remember how groundbreaking it was when Thorpe Park added more extreme rides with Colossus, Vortex, Detonator etc. I remember before that the Flying Fish or Logger's Leap were the most extreme rides there! Completely changed the park but was perfect for the age I was at the time. Thanks for the vid and trip down memory lane :)
Thanks for sharing your memories!
Enjoyed watching this video
I remember love going to Gullivers kingdom theme park in matlock as a kid
Thank you!
Had a little walk around the American Adventure land the other day. Brought back loads of memories! You need to get to Weymouth when it’s safe to. Amazing part of the country.
Shawn, can you do a video about your time working at Alton Towers (highlights of your time, photos) please?
Hi Shawn I love your old Theme Park Photos of your Childhood to take your trip down to memory lane.
Thanks Scott
I was a massive fan of Beanoland back in the day and visited there 3 times in 2002, 2003 and 2008.
Great Yarmouth is one of the local parks close to me. Love the snails in both parks. Done the wooden coaster for the first time last year with my husband and my dad. Will admit I did laugh most of the way round because I was scared
Done my lil tpw jigg when i got my notification that you had uploaded🤗🤗🤗. Just what i needed after a crappy day. Thank you shaun🙌🙌
Thanks for watching Jay
Love your vids keep going
Thanks James
Wow, it really shows how much the perks have changed in such a short time!
They have indeed!
I have loads of similar memories Shawn with being from up north , I live very close to flamingo land so you can imagine I go to Scarborough and other coastal places lots especially when I was younger ! 😀
I love ur vids I literally watch every one
Thank you!
Great content!
I remember those canoes in great yarmouth! I'll definitely be going back once the attractions reopen🙂
Another awesome video Shawn I went to Blackpool went I was a kid
Great vid Shawn as always love seeing u when u were younger
Thank you
It’s great to see these parks and how they have changed
Thanks Jack
Great photos 👍. I agree with you regarding Thorpe Park, i've been going there since the year it opened and it was a wonderful place with a great friendly atmosphere, not anymore 😔. Good rides though 👍.
Thank you Ben!
Omg i remember tower of terror being under construction too! Feels so weird that it wasn't always there at one point , looking back now 🤣😂
Ah so cute hopefully I can visit it soon
These videos are great!
Thanks!
Shawn, how lucky you were to go to all those great parks as a kid and how fun your parents must be to have taken you. No wonder you now do what you do. Lovely memories.
I was indeed very lucky!
Another great video first here!
Thanks
I'd love to see you recreating some of those pictures, it would be so interesting to see how the parks have changed! Also looking forward to part 3/3 :)
I’ll definitely have to do this!
These are just brill! You haven't changed at all 😂❤
Thanks Lora!
I just found out a new theme park is opening in southern Yorkshire, this year! 2020 Gulliver’s valley, this looks the biggest and most appealing to older kids, bigger rides, you should look into it.
We were planning to visit this year!
The old London Dungeon Tooley Street location was really creepy. I’m still traumatised by my childhood visit!
The Joyland snails is an absolute classic. One of my family’s all time faves. I must revisit them once it’s safe to do so.
Photos are wonderful to look back over. Lovely idea for a vlog.
Thank you!
These are great videos
Thanks Luke
Most of my theme park photos are from flamingo land, lightwater Valley and my favourite UK park.... Blackpool pleasure beach.... Love that log flume was such a good ride
It was such a classic!
Great video
Thank you Sam
Round 2 of past photos where fashion is different to what it is now
Loved the 3/4 length trousers in the last video
(I still have some!)
Love this!
That picture of you with gully mouse at gullivers looks exactly like a picture me and my family have when we visited when I was only little! And the snails at joy land always used to love them so much and the spooky coaster
The snails are such a classic!
Good video. After watching most of your park experiences, I find that the on ride pov/on ride reactions by you and friends is some of the most entertaining content. Maybe a compilation of those experiences? Busch Gardens Williamsburg river rapids, and some of the American wooden coaster rides with Alex are hysterical.
Thanks for your suggestions!
I would love to see you going back to the theme parks that we’re featured in this video and the Alton Towers video with your parents and recreate the photos. That would be amazing!!! Fantastic video as always!
Thank you!
Great stuff 😊😊😊
Cheers Shaun, cool parents you’ve got there , TPW owes a lot to them for taking you to so many cool places 👌🏼🧱👍🏼
Thank you!
I saw lot's of history today like this and in the back of my grandmother's wordrop I found a picture of my dad when we was 5 on the bumper cars at my local fair
Love this Shawn #Team90sBaby
Gulivers Kingdom is the only Gulivers Park I've been to but I remember so much from there. Would have been back this year aswell as the new park but because of covid I cant... But besides that great video!
+ThemeParkWorldwide Great video Shawn nice to see what Blackpool Pleasure Beach looked like in the early 90s and early 00's very different times back then for theme park safety as well no woodworm in certain rides lol 😂🙂
Thanks for watching!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide You are most welcome Shawn :)
Your father and you in matching shirts at Thorpe Park is really adorable =)
I went to gullivers Milton Keynes a lot as a kid!! I remember being just tall enough to ride some of the rides!! I was born in January 1997 myself and have loads of photos even some of me and my brother at butlins Bognor Regis in the old funfair!!
Thanks for sharing your memories!
16:48 It looks like the building that the modal of the park is in. I went there quite a lot, the car park scared me
awesome
Hi Theme park worldwide again it looks like you had a good childhood I had a nice childhood as a kid you will have to go to sundown adventureland when the coronavirus is over
Hi Shawn, i remember going to the origional London Dungeon, always liked the mirror maze, and that small drop tower, they had in there. Haven't been to the new one.
It was awesome!
20:05 it kind of reminds me of Ventura River in St. Nicks park in Warwick
My childhood theme park is Gullivers Warrington
Many of my childhood memories of theme parks are from Chessington WOA, Yarmouth Pleasure Beach and Joyland and Pleasurewood Hills! I grew up in Norfolk. I also went to Thorpe Park for my 8th birthday in 2005 and rode Colossus for the first time which was also the first inverted coaster I ever went on! Thought I'd go on the most inverted in the world (at the time) as my first! Made Nemesis Inferno look rather tame by comparison, but scared myself on Detonator and still have a fear of drop towers to this day! Loved the Vampire, Dragon's Fury and Beanoland at Chessington WOA! My family also went to Disneyland Paris in 2003 and my brother got a cap that looks exactly like the one you're wearing at 24:45!!
Thanks for sharing!
Nothing like the old days man😔
I went london eye in 03’ aswell funny that lol
When the theme parks open, can you please do it as a live stream at a park so people can meet you. I'd love it is it was thorpe park because it is my local park. Plz like so Shaun can see this!!!!!!!!
We plan on filming some live streams at the parks!
Great video I hope you visit the Alton towers garden's that have announced 6th of june reopening to the public it would be a really cool vlog, and to try capture a little bit of non rides that ain't open yet.
Social distance 2m apart will still be in place for the garden's.
We will be indeed!
I went on Pirate Adventure when I was 5, I don't remember much, but I remember being really scared of the battle scene. After that I refused to go on it because I was scared. When it closed I used to wait outside the door, waiting for it to open. There is ways to get into the attraction next to the lockers near the play area, and in the restaurant.
Thanks for sharing your memories!
Great video!
Ahh some cute pictures! You look like your dad!
Thank you!
He still does
Wish I could have had a visit to the older Thorpe Park, but I'm not from the UK lol.
Great video bud, I'm Scarborough based and work for the North Bay Railway, Next time you're up this way you'll have to give me shout :)
A Happy Sailor comes to my local Winter Wonderland every year. I actually get airtime on it. Weird
Good to love a happy sailor!
Theme Park Worldwide it's good fun
ikr i dont live far from hanley so its super close
the old green and blue monorail station looks like the current BPB season passes lol
Good video.
When I was I hated the log round it made me cry because the drop lol
Thorpe park was the park I went to most as a,kid (next being chessington).Loved the Thorpe park rangers (probably a bit before your time?!lol).Totally agree about Thorpes atmosphere back in the day.Not been there since 2002!
Loved going over to the farm on the ferry and back on Canada creek railway (or vice versa)
Thorpe Farm used to be great and the transport rides between the two were a big highlight of a visit to Thorpe Park for me!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide I believe thexfarm was still there in 2002 but my friend and I didn't go over on that occasion, never got back there and now farm gone.Yes was a lovely farm 🙂.
cool video
Yeah it would be really cool to recreate some of these photos when the theme parks are open again!
Got a picture of me on Professor Burps bubbleworks but don’t remember it as I was a toddler ☹️
Yaaaas queen
Can’t wait to go back and try out skyforce. I’ve done air race at Drayton manor but never anything where you actually control it yourself
It’s worth having a go, but it’s quite tricky sometimes to get it going!
Agh the old Blackpool memories 😭 I myself also miss the big log flume and gold mine 😭
It was such a great fluke!
Loved beaver creek lol don’t remember the other log flume at Blackpool? Xxx
It was where Infusion is now and the bigger of the two!
SHAWN YEEEEEESSSSSS
Oh boy
Hope you the saw the merlin pass statement Shawn and it's good to hear there has been extensions if you had a annual pass and Warwick Castle may perhaps open 6th June within guidelines you its a step in the right direction great vid BTW thanks 4 my b day message
It sure is a step in the right direction!
I really miss Camelot and the old Blackpool rides such as beaver creek and bling. Also the log flume carts are actually at a local park around the corner (Watson park). They planted flowers inside
Thanks for sharing your memories!
Any photos/memories from Camelot? That was my local park as a kid. Loved it there!
I have some from my later visits!
