Are there any "hard" pieces that don't require jumping your hands around (and therefore wouldn't require him to watch the piano as he plays)? I am not a piano player so l don't have direct knowledge of what makes something hard on a piano.

Number 9 isn't that hard either, I love that piece. I wanted to play it after three years of piano lessons, so I just practiced and I could play it after two months.

One of the most annoying thing in piano is when you're still a 13 year-old kid and your mom forces you to continue piano but your teacher gives you pieces where there are lots of notes that are an octave apart so that you can barely reach because your hands are so small.
Watching one of this guy's videos for the first time in about 10 months reminds me of how I was watching them alot around a year ago. Watching them also reminds me of how much happier I was last year a year ago. I've tried to figure out exactly why, but I think it's either that last year I was 44, now I'm 45. Or it's that a year ago we didn't have the freak virus outbreak going on, and we could all live normal lives without the worry of catching the Corona. I think that the latter is the more likely reason I was happier a year ago, more so than me being 45 now, but I'm not totally sure

Number eight isn’t too bad to be honest so yeah. Fantasie impromptu isn’t too bad either - it’s mainly an exercise for the left hand

Anyone can do melodies on a piano. That's the lvl 1-2 stuff. When harmonics come in, that's when it starts getting difficult.
