- An attempt at seeing how far one sim could get with very little money. I drained their starting cash by moving them into the most expensive empty lot & fully building their house, leaving only enough for a bed. For most of it I was trying to avoid using the custom downloaded furniture because the creators made them really cheap compared to the base game furniture. But that was literally going nowhere as they had to spend all their money every day, so towards the end I give into the cheaper custom stuff. Though it still doesn't go well.

Playing this game and listening to the calming music is and always will be one of the greatest moments in my childhood! Thank you so much to whoever thought of this game. Its amazing beyond words and listening to the songs in this game, brings back all those magical memories and its wonderful because now even my sons love this game and the sims 2 also (which is another childhood favourite) but to be honest with you the music in this game is better for me. I love it love it love it! ❤
So, this is the definition of "building a house too big with no fund left to buy a toilet", "living paycheck by paycheck" , "I only have $15 left and I am gonna spend them all on a pastry", "hope to raise my hygiene by keep washing my hands in public WC", "wearing my pajamas everywhere because I am too broke".

I was preety sure that you are tring to kill her by collect flying flies with dirty dishes. But classic fire is still good enough. :)
luckily (or unluckily?) death by flies wasn't a thing in ts1, I just couldn't get rid of the dishes because they made you wash them in a sink, unlike the later games that let you throw them in the trash
I haven’t played this game for a long time. I miss it. If possible, I hope you can upload this version to my gmail so that I can download and play by myself.
Why not sell the windows, floors etc and make the house smaller to save that money? And order pizza for less money than the turkey :)

Sorry if you have answered this question before, but how are you playing the sims 1? Like on what operating system/computer? I am desperate to play it again as it is my childhood but I cannot for the life of me think of where to start to get it to work. :(
Any advice to a nostalgic simmer?
Windows 7 desktop PC, I purchased the Complete Collection on eBay. It can also work on Windows 10, there are tutorials online as to how if you google it. There are also free copies online that are technically legal to play as EA doesn't support the game anymore. Like here www.myabandonware.com/game/the-sims-bf5 or here oldgamesdownload.com/the-sims/. As I said, I play a disc copy of the game so I don't know how those downloads function, so I can't troubleshoot if they don't work for you unfortunately.
