UPDATE: I read through all of the comments and PHEW, let me explain some things. For those who are saying I am promoting games that 'aren't horse games', I am sorry you were expecting 10 horse games that are still good in 2024...that just isn't possible lol.
I added in games like RDR2 and Zelda because they have horses *in them*. Every gamer is different, it's up to you completely how YOU play a game. If someone wants to hop onto RDR2 and shoot people in the face, hell yeah! If they want to get onto RDR2 and play modded to make horses realistic, also cool. My perspective on this video wasn't solely horse games. IMO, horse games don't just mean solely horses. I'm sorry if this made anybody angry, those weren't my intentions

I wish there was a game like rdr2 but without like swearing and a tough storyline and stuff like basically the models and the world just more……family friendly

It does exist. It’s called The Rift and can be played on RedM. All you need is a computer, internet and red dead online. The rift is a modded server from rdo but made only for horses.
They mean a game that is family friendly, sadly The Rift is 18+ and does contain some mature content/language as it's more of an adult community.@@abbywolfe3505
i cannot explain how happy i was to see TOTK and BOTW getting some recognition for their amazing horses. i have both the games, beaten them both too but i still play so much to ride around and just hang out

I love how rdr2 is always on lists like these, i understand that compleatly, trust me i do, but i wish more would appreciate it for its breathtaking adventure that is the storyline, yeah it has gorgeous horses in there but its not a *horse* game
Again i understand why but, i dunno i love rdr to bits and i love horse games to bits but im genuienly saddened that thats all the game is to people
I put it on this list because it has some of the best horse models + mechanics but I do hope people cherish the entirety of the game as well! Story mode is such a well written and produced story, and I wish everyone can experience it like the masterpiece it is, same with the world map being so detailed. I agree with you 100%, just added it on the list for the possibility of people wanting more horse-inclusive games with more to them than just 3 hour storylines and a poorly developed world
@@justpeachyplays oh nononono i understand it compleatly dont get me wrong! It fits on the list, just see alot of people *only* seeing it as a horse game, which is a valid view compleatly everyone enjoys games however they like! Just wishing the story would be more appreciated thats all
For anyone who wants to know more about botw or totk is that the horse animation and models are amazing and so realistic but it is not a horse game and there is not much to do on horseback. In botw the prequel there is an archery camp and a jumping course for what I know.
Just a note for anyone wanting to play TORR, you will need a mouse or a touchpad with the mouse buttons to get past the 2 training. You need to be able to hold the left and right mouse button at the same time which is not possible with a touchpad like you have on a laptop. I can't wait to play it but i'm gonna need to get a mouse first
I have ranch of rivershine and I'm really exited for more updates. I'm also really exited for Horse Life Simulator, and fernhoof grove, can't wait to play them

My favourite horse game back in the day was ''G1 Jockey 3'' now it's Rival Stars Horse Racing.
I love botw/totk and I absolutely adore the horses in the game, I honestly freaked out when I first botw and found out I could register horses. I aslo love how totk lets you keep your horses you registered from botw. I was honestly sad thinking that when playing totk I would end up loosing my favorite horse which almost had maxed stats which is a rare find in botw, I was ecstatic when finding out i also had them in totk.
I also love how you now have a harness, one thing i always wanted in botw was to pull around those carts since i always thought it would be so cool and give me something to do since I completked the game about 5 or more times already. I really loved all they added in totk, it makes the game so much more interesting and i loved seeing all the new horse coats and gear that horse now had.
Also in totk you can own up to 10 horses if i remember correctly, you get them through the pony rewards. So if you already maxed out your horse solts in botw you have the ability to earn more so you can collect more horses
you could just loaded the time back in BOTW so you could have your horse back

could i also say if most of these aren't your style i recommend Horse Tales Emerald Valley Ranch it has a simple artstyle and a good story line

7:50 seems to be an incredibly odd looking and not as polished rip off (I try not to use this term lightly but there is direct shot for shot recreation of assets, stable/property layout, the breeding system, horse care & the foal training system in this video alone) of another horse game already on steam (My Riding Stables Life With Horses). The original game is also a LOT cheaper and just looks so much better.
(And if by some weird chance this is made by the same company, yikes 😭)
If you have an older console & the abililty to get ur hands on old/used shovelware horse games the game also has a Wii port called "Gallop & Ride".
Just on price alone I bring this up for anyone interested and able to just get the original game, ur wallet will thank you 😭
I saw the OGs after editing and went "oh wow....." because 99.9% of the time, the overpriced horse games have barely any major dev work done to make them unique. yet another rip off :,) will have to research more next time!!

My Dream Game would be a cross between a farming/ranching sim and rdr2 graphics horses etc but in a modern setting. You could breed and train horses, compete, explore open worlds, trail ride with others. Playing RDR2 via a RED M server and The Rift sounds really good and pretty close, i havent tried that yet. Can anyone tell me if you can also play a ranching/farming/horse stud that way? If not how do we get someone to create this perfect game?
Something I would love to see is a wild horse simulator. Like WolfQuest, but for horses. I know there’s mobile games out there, and RDR2 mods, but it doesn’t quite scratch that itch.
I feel that, I have been wanting a true wild horse sim for years. Not just “press this button to lay down” like mobile apps, I mean full on horse life sim 😭 I hope it’s here someday

Personally #1 for me would be star stable online you can do quests unlock new areas buy horses and tack and you can have unlimited of both of those some horses even do special tricks like the mustang bucks and the dartmoor pony shakes it’s leg and by doing quests you can level up you character and by unlocking races you can level up your horses I will say though if your not star rider which you have to pay for it’s kind of boring
I agree, play so stable for over six years now and it’s honestly number one it’s the best horse game I’ve ever come across in my life. The only thing I am concerned about is it’s not ideal for people under 12 and the community sucks. Star stable doesn’t listen and it’s super expensive but otherwise it’s a great game.

My riding stables 2 looks like a copy of a polish game of techland, "Konie i Kucyki" which is made much better

Also, how is the zelda games called 'horse games', Yeahhhh you can bond with them and call them, but maybe my idea of Horse Game is different. My idea of Horse Game is a game centralized around horses, equestrianism, and breeding, etc. Not a giant story based around something COMPLETELY different, with.... Horses in the game. Like its about saving the princess as link and stopping the end of that world, not prancing on pretty ponies and breeding and stuff. Just me idk

Personally, RDR2 should stop being promoted as a 'horse game' as it's really not, its a game with horses in it. If we were to list all games with horses in it, we would have a time issue. Just because there is actual mechanics behind the horses in games, does not make it a horse game. There are mods for minecraft that add mechanics and behaviours to horses but you dont see many people bringing up minecraft as a horse game.
As I replied to another comment, this video was more centralized about "horse games" and "games with horses". To me, it's a yeehaw game but some people play it solely for horses. To each their own, I guess :) I understand your perspective 100%, but just know I put it in the video to show people games that have horses in them, not just horse games. If someone wants to hop on MC and build giant castles, hell yeah! If they want to hop on MC to play with pixel horses, cool! Everyone plays it differently

It's such a dissappointment!
There is no genetics and no real breeding
Every Breed has only one coat
and the foals.... they can only look like mommy or daddy (only the mane and a bit of the body can change, the coats are copys of mum or dad)
When I saw sims 4 releasing a horse pack I was so hyped, but this game made me so sad.

Sims 4 has base genetics but yeah, super disappointing. There is a horse genetics mod out I believe too! :)
But in the sims 4 is no genetics

rdr is not a game about horses 💀💀
It might not be about horses but it's one of the better games that has horses and the graphics are shit and wonky. Most games that have horses don't execute them well
