- Here is Day 1 of our February 2022 trip to Universal Orlando. The girls knew nothing until the morning, so join us in enjoying their response. We stayed for 10 days at Cabana Bay and flew with Aer Lingus from Manchester. Once we arrived, we went to stock up at Walmart.

Great vlog. Excited to see what you thought of Aer Lingus as we are flying with them in November. Should have been Virgin, but really looking forward to it. Bit apprehensive about what we have to do re: covid tests but hopefully we won't need to do them then. Have a fab time
About to book for July/August. Starting watching numerous travel vlogs and is nice to see smiles an excited faces unmasked unlike all the other vlogs

Thank you David. I use a host of different devices to be honest. iPhone 13 Pro Max, GoPro, DJI Pocket 2 and Action 2 and edit on my MacBook Pro.

Thank you very much. We were supposed to go to New York, for this trip, but had to cancel because of the vaccine mandate and Scarlett not being able to be vaccinated. We were devastated, but recovered with a great trip to Universal. Hope you had a great time, we really miss NYC.

Great video. What car seat did you use for travelling in Florida taxi’s please? We travel to Orlando in a few months and are currently on the look out for a small portable seat for our little one
We just used the ones provided in Uber XL’s.
Random question. Did they offer kids meals on the flight?
Yes, but have to pre order them online. Trying to think back, can’t remember which flight it was, but they were not loaded onto the plane. I’d have ti go back over our travel days to remember.

Thank you. Scarlett had been in a show for the previous week and finished the night before we needed to test and we told her we needed to do it to make sure she was ok and Ashley had been asked by someone at work to try a new testing procedure. She fell for it. Sienna just thought it was a game.

Great video. What did you mean about keeping all your bags and not put it back on belt ??
Thanks. Once you collect your cases of the belt you then go through customs and come to another belt before you get in the tram. If you can carry/push them, don’t hand the cases over, otherwise you will be waiting a long time for them at the other end. Take them in the tram with you. Saved at least 45 mins. 👍🏻

Thank you. We used Nowmed. They were ok, serviced the purpose and were about £20 per test.

Hi love the florida vlogs. Any tips on getting to the Disney parks from cabana bay with a 1 year old? Can you use uber or would I need a car seat?
Thank you. We used Uber on this trip for everything, because the car hire has become so expensive and now the resorts charge daily for parking and we couldn’t justify the spend. I think an Uber to the parks is about $25-30. But you can put your journey into the app now and check.

I think that was the kids meal. Sorry it was 7 months ago and about 10 flights since 😂😂😂
What testing procedure for Covid did you have to do appreciate if you could help
We had to do video'd LFT tests the day before we flew to the states, but nothing to come home.

I am considering a Manchester to MCO flight. I have not flown with Aer Lingus they are £200 less for 2 people when compared with Virgin. If you have flown Virgin do you consider the 'extra' with Virgin worth it Thanks...
To be honest, no. We thought Aer Lingus were really good and the last Virgin planes we went on (pre covid) we’re pretty dated. The only negative for AL, is you have to pay for alcohol drinks. If that doesn’t bother you (it doesn’t us), I’d save your £200. Food was better on AL too, but not flown Virgin since late 2019. We are flying with Virgin in April, so will be able to compare better then….
@@HackettFamily Many thanks for your quick reply. I agree the old Virgin 747 pre Covid were old and noisy. The alcohol doesn't bother us at all, like yourselves too. I would be booking with a good travel agent something I don't normally do as I book direct with the airline, however they are offering good car rental rates as we all know car rental prices are very high at present. The agent didn't paint a good picture of Aer Lingus mentioning the alcohol point, only 1 meal and cancellation issues. All of which I take with a pinch of salt, perhaps a little cynical of me. I always bear in mind they are in the business of sales this is fine by me its their job. Therefore it is great to hear first hand from someone who has experienced the Aer Lingus flight for themselves 😃
@@Mrpegs1 we enjoyed their flights, as mentioned in the vid and would definitely use them again in the future. But we would use most of the airlines to be honest. Don’t really see much of a difference in the transatlantic providers any more.

41 days till me and my bestie and her daughter going to florida for 10 days was a last minute plan. Flying with aer lingus too from Manchester
How much did cab from airport cost?
Think it was $60 from airport to hotel and approx $50 on return journey.
Did you not have to do tests to fly #askingforafriend?
Yes. We had to complete LFT tests, on video, 24 hours before. They were only £20 each.
Do you have to wear masks?
On the plane and in the airport, yes. But nowhere else. The parks changed the rules at the beginning of February.
I was wondering too cos there was no sign in the airport so I was thinking it had changed.
Not sure to be honest. There wasn’t any signs or people telling you to wear them. So we just wore them when around lots of people. But at this stage (being triple vaccinated and already having had it) we are pretty relaxed about covid.
Nice to see masks don't have to be worn. Did you have to do tests on the girls whilst out there and to fly home ? We've just booked to return in August we have a 12 and 10 year old who are not vaccinated. Thanks
@@mfoth20 no. We didn’t have to do anything to return home, except complete the passenger locator forms. All of us had to test to enter USA, 24 hours before the flight.
I'm confused.. about masks.. as seen in the video u wasn't really wearing at airport or plane
We just removed them quickly for filming and then put them back on
