LYRICS:
Slow down this is slippin' trough my mind,
This conversation has run out of time.
Honey I know you know what I mean,
And that's the one thing that you soon will find.
I know that you really wanna go,
My mind is runnin' outta gas just relax,
And recap, and relapse.
Tonight, my bodies jumpin' and I,
Go through the motions and I'm leaving on this journey,
Maybe someday I'll come running home to you.
I don't wanna see the day, my words cannot make it safe.
(Come running home! Come running home!)
Her heart in my hands, it's too bad, no regrets...
I don't wanna see the day, her tears are falling on my grave.
(Come running home! Come running home!)
This is my one chance, to take back, no regrets...
Let's go! I just wanna let you know,
This situation leaves me outta breath.
We'll drive till the love that's in your eyes,
Drops to the ground and unravels like a thread...
I know that you really wanna go,
I only think about her, must get to her, cannot loser her.
You know that I will not let this die,
Life support systems and my mind on
Rewind and rewind and rewind...

Thoughts and prayers for the people who have this song in their head but can’t find it
Lol I will never forget the name but you reminded me to remember the unfortunate ones 🕊️🖤🙏🏿
Dog, a few years ago, this opening reverb heavy riff lived in my head rent-free with no fucking way of correlating a name.
A friend of mine says, "I think I know what you're talking about" and it was this song she played.
Yes. Fuck, yes. This is the song.
Had the rhythm for years as a kid never knowing where from until high school reunited me with Guitar Hero 3 🤣🤣 mind you I played gh3 in 2016 so, I definitely heard my uncle play this when I was a kid and gh3 had just released
😂😂😂
This just happened. Had a bro point me this way. Your comment is clairvoyant... It's BEEN YEARS!!!
Who’s listening in 2024👇🏼
The intro pops in my head this morning. And now I’m here 😊
Yes hi hello
Yo!!
I am.
Yep
*This band was ahead of their time.*
Nah, only band that was ahead of their time in 2006 was the mars volta. But I do like fot.
was? they are still alive and well!
Cak Redi no it wasn't, it's just math rock, math rock has been a thing since 1996 at least
Will Swan is probably one of the biggest influences to the mathcore genre to date...
So much so, that 'Swancore' is an actual sub genre named after him. And the guy has his own record label with at least 5-6 bands signed.
If you have absolutely no idea who im talking about. You're unfortunately living under a rock, and would highly suggest listening to the entirety of the original Downtown Battle Mountain album by Dance Gavin Dance. And get yourself some good quality headphones or buds.
@@DWreck958 jesus christ shut the fuck up. You are the person people try and avoid at a party
The fact that this dude can sing and play the main riff to this song at the same time is amazing
The rift was out of control throughout the whole song....fuckin timeless
And that they were like 9 years old too
it's really not that hard
@@stevebanning902 well, considering that this is one of the easier tfots songs...
@@bonechimesquad most of them are intermediate. The hardest guitar part in their entire catalogue is the intro to act one scene one, and maybe the sweeps in dark trail. There isn't much that's truly difficult.
I remember playing this song in Guitar Hero 3.
+dannydsi3d i still do, fucking best game in gaming history ffs
+dannydsi3d stil play it
+dannydsi3d I don't play guitar hero 3 many years ago, i knew i have heard this song somewhere

well with how much trouble I used to have playing this on Guitar Hero when I was a kid, I actually gave them the middle finger while cursing them with every single curse word known to man.

I still can’t get over how incredible that opening riff is
And to think all it is is just him outlining four chords but with some delay turned on. There really is beauty in simplicity
@@justsomeguy727 The art of the riff. Overly complicated ideas dont work as well when repeated... usually

If it wasn't for Guitar Hero I would not have discovered so many awesome bands that have gotten me into some incredible genres of music. Much like Take This Life was my gateway into In Flames, melodeath and the more extreme styles of Metal; this song was my gate way into Post-Hardcore and bands like Protest The Hero, Botch, Of Machines, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Safety Fire, etc.
yes!
I discovered all of that and loved it before Guitar Hero, and I was grateful for Guitar Hero because it brought so many new people and fans to the genre. As a musician in the genre it was awesome to get the mainstream attention! Elitists & purists are annoying
same u took the word right out of my head
omg.. that's where I remember this from thanks!!
same
This kids is what we call a "timeless classic". The quality of the vocals, the composition of the instrumental parts, the tone change towards the end. The entire song is an example of master-level musicianship.
This song sounds like Trigonometry
it is mathrock
Look up “math rock” if you enjoy this
^yes that's the fucking joke.
Try Dillinger Escape Plan
this makes sense in a way I don't need to justify
damn 12 year old me had good taste

Lol that's funny
Same bro 😎😂
Nah not at all
Yooo forreal im sampling this 2020 👀 a decade and a half from when i first heard this song
When I saw them on a press pass in Tokyo, Thomas spat his gum at the ceiling while soloing, caught it in his mouth, and kept on playing without missing a beat. It was the biggest punk-rock rock god moment I had ever beheld.
Bro iggy pop rolled around in broken glass
This isn’t punk rock
@@klompsauce Oh, girl, I was in mosh pits in 1986. If this isn't punk, I don't know what is. Of course, it's not The Sex Pistols or Black Flag, but it is certainly rooted in the punk spirit.
@@klompsauce What an un-punk thing of you to say.
Thomas Erak is one of the few musicians where I will believe this story without even looking into it. He's already performing miracles on the guitar while singing & screaming his lungs out. I bet him catching the gum was somehow less ridiculous than what he was playing when he did it
I’m a sucker for emo choruses where they sing and scream at the same time it’s so cool
Wow you should probably find an emo band to listen to then, because this isn’t one
This is mathcore

The amount of nostalgia this has brought a tear to my eye of simpler times

The green screen effects in this video are fucking genius
+x9natedawg i think that there is zero green screen effects...
+Ternadil without a green screen they wouldn't be able to put video on the drums lol

.. yes they would
+Ternadil not easily. All they did was tape green screen to the base and have saveral cameras constantly zooming in and out. Easy.

Is no one gonna talk about how heavy that breakdown is

My husband and i just spent 45 minutes in the car trying to figure out what song this was. We remembered everything except the words. 😂
Haven't listened to this song since guitar hero 3 and after listening to it again, I must say that these guys are far better than I thought they were. This song also has kind of a CHON feel to it. Or is it just me? ;D
Dude. Word. Totally agreed.
Btw that's read Duuuuuuuuudddddeeeeeeeeeee.. woooooooord. Totally agree.
is it just because the singer looks the same as the guys from CHON. And it has some kinda mathy guitars.
They turn up the guitar in guitar hero, so the songs aren't mixed as well as in the actual song.

It's 2005. I'm in my room, next to my little brother's, as he blasts this song for the 8th time that day. I've been home from school for a few hours, I've got school the next day, but I don't have anxiety, I'm not 33 and horribly depressed, I don't have cardiophobia or a string of failed relationships. I am happy.

I’ve been listening this since high school I’m 35 now
This was my little brother's favorite song growing up, it was in GH3 and Saint's Row.
We've grown apart a lot over the years, but this song became a comfort song for me now, when I reminisce about our childhood.
Playing this song on guitar hero was actually inspiring and it ended up being the second song I learned when I picked up guitar. This was a huge portal into the magic of music for me.
I can't play GH anymore because i could already play guitar, so my hands automatically try and play the song and not push the buttons on the game. I'm much better at rocksmith now tho hahaha
Heard this song on Saints Row 2! I seem to be the only one

To start, find a techmp who faces you right when they enter the screen.
Walk into laser sight and immediately press [Techmp]. This might some
practice. Now for the tricky bit. find want to a wild player and have
it chase into one of the Techmp. The value of that special "Players"
stat will determining what Techmp it encounter through the glitch. Now
fly back to a Techmp adjacent to where this initiated the glitch. If
the used the same Techmp as it did, fly to Techmp. The Techmp men will
open by itself now. Close it to fight the Techmp this set up. It will
be at each level. Using this trick can catch any player in the game.
In this computer clip, my players are has a special stat value of forty
four. That can also catch *most* of the game's glitch Techmp. Here
player's Specialty stat value of 90 is 20 below. And that's it! you can
now catch any Player without using a hockey shark. This trick works in
all 3 first generating effect; however the stat values for team's are
different from those in both used and enclose attempts.
Yes a great song

I just read that they are releasing their next album for free and only playing concerts where the fans want it. That's so awesome. I've only listened to this song and resenting got the doppelganger album. I can't wait to the new album. It's taking some time to get into their style but I'll for sure keep listening. It's the first time I've heard of a band being so selfless. Insanity.
keshia hunter There's this other band called Showbread that is also completely nonprofit. You can even go to most of their shows for free.
There was that project that Chance the Rapper was involved in called the Social experiment that put out a free album in 2015. Due to the hype surrounding Chance at the time it would've easily made tons of money. This is a really selfless thing to do and even more so when the there's no record label behind the release.
